what you hear off the bat is actually the outro of another song called epiphany. i recommend you listen to a live performance of it too. and read the lyrics it’s probably the best bts song very powerful. it's another slow song though. ah, actually it has that high note you liked the best in your first bts reaction i think.
Oh goodness. V, JK, and Jimin’s voices sound so exhausted 🥺 I think they may have been sick here. Or just voices overworked. This must have been at the end of the tour. I’m surprised you didn’t comment on that. I’ve seen other vocal coaches on here able to point out when some members voices are tired or when they’re sick.
Isn't the one supposed to be most tired is Jin? He immediately sang this just after he performed epiphany. At least the other vocalist have time to rest, but Jin must perform this after epiphany that has a lot of highnote
If you're interested in watching the whole group (7 of them) singing live you can react to Crystal Snow and Love Myself Answer, where there's more dynamic performance (meaning they don't just stand on the stage). Or if you want a really high energy live performance you can react to their Dionysus (where they show their rock star side). As always, thank you for your reaction and interest in BTS.
I could tell when V started this was not their strongest performance of this song. They have so many amazing versions, but if this was their last concert as other comments have said it makes sense how tired they were. Its definately worth looking in to another version.
It's not JIMIN's best performance, but that's ok. People need to stop saying they were all very tired, they were very effective, especially Jin. The song is based off an italian story called La Citta Di Smeraldo and it's about a lost love because the protaganist couldn't love himself enough to put himself out there. It ties in with their Love yourself album trilogy and concept very much. Thanks for the reaction :)
Och, they're not in a good shape here... Jimin was sick, they're all really tired after many performances. Hope you will react to the other video of "The Truth Untold" to see their real talent. It's really sad and emotional song. As I saw, Jimin was really harsh on himself after this performance :(
For all the people worried that this performance wasn't the best, I would say that it's a great opportunity to look for the beauty in imperfection. We get the extra emotion from the roughness and tiredness in their voices and those are some of the most touching parts. BTS are amazingly talented and have the best synergy as a group but they draw us in because they have always been willing to show us their vulnerabilities and imperfections. It makes them human to us. Trying to be perfect in everything can hurt our mental health because it is not possible. I hope we can turn it around and look for the beauty in those imperfect moments.
I loved that you talked about the way they sing to match the feelings! For me it is one of the main reasons to their worldwide success, because we, non korean speakers, need to feel what they are trying to convey!
My bias is actually not jin and his voice ain't my fav but I've noticed so many times that jin has absolutely got the best control on his voice while live performances
There are so many performances of this song that are immaculate. You had to choose the only one where Jimin was really ill, he could not sing because of his throat, ah, I cannot watch this - it is cruel to focus on one bad performance like this. I don’t care about the will of Twitch, it’s just cruel.
I'm actually really glad you listened to this version. It's definitely closer to how it sounds when you're in the stadium with them. Singing live for three hours is so hard (like so so so intensely hard) and we take it for granted because a lot of the versions that are uploaded are low quality fancams or dvd versions which are cleaned up. This shows their talent just fine. They are so impressive and ridiculously talented. I'm sure as a vocal coach you understand.
Thank you for this reaction 💜 BTS is going to be on MTV unplugged in two days time. Maybe you'd be interested in reacting to their performance? Should be around 30 minutes long I think 🤔
Please look at other performance videos.. Jimin calls when his throat is very bad and there is a lot of sound deviation. At that time, I cried because my voice didn't come out after the performance.
@@MOON_LIGHT818 Yes, it is. It's a part of the BTS Universe. It's the story that Jin (the character in the universe) reads about online and what encourages him to get the flowers. The flower guy's story mimics the story of the man in the castle, and then Jin's story mimics the man's. So the flowers are kinda a representation of a curse of hiding one true self.
I’m so sad that you watched this particular performance, they have others that are far superior. I’ve seen this song live and this performance doesnt show what they can do with it. Still, they are amazing and this is a beautiful song, hope u get to see a different one. Especially when jimin adds his high note at the end.
Not gonna say this was the worst one to choose bc everyone's already saying it 😄 It's not your fault, I'm sorry that's all the comments you're getting... I do recommend watching another one just to see what it usually sounds like 👍🏻 Loved the reaction, though, thank you!! 💞💞 You should watch a full group performance next, maybe something different to see more of their versatility? They can really bring the energy, the growl, the flow, the hype too in addition to the bright poppy tracks or the emotional ballads etc. 💞💞
I don´t get all these comments about this not to be a best performance. I´m glad you reacted to this one. They are not perfect, they are still humans, so sometimes they can do mistakes or be ill. I would be proud on them no matter what perfomance you choose to react ;-)
Thank you for your review! Totally agree that they performed really nice and had great harmony. Speaking of this live performance, they sang this sad song beautifully even though we might not know every words in their language. I enjoy it!

I’ve never seen kook singing like this, like it still sounds amazing but he sounds kinda on the edge compared to his always perfect sounding vocals wow Despite the exhaustion and HOW HARD THIS SONG IS, they did amazing (I’ve tried singing this song and let me tell you it ain’t an easy one)

BTS is so good at reflecting the emotion in their songs through their voices and faces. Especially in their ballads. Thank you for the reaction, love when you react to BTS :)
it´s very sad, self deprecating and self loathing but it´s also about finding love and being on the way to gain the realization that you have to love yourself.
Some army might complained that this isn't their best performance, but I am okay with this performance because I love them at their best and their low. In fact, I love them on this performance. You can feel that them, as person, connected one another. Jimin wasn't in his best, it shaken V and Jk at the beginning. But Jin is coming through, firm as ground. Jk then found his footing on Jin's voice, he deliver his line back to his usual confidence. V wasn't at his best, but he can pulled it through. Jimin shows his weak side, being not 100%, but in my eyes he is everything on stage. He pour his best, and the Jk support him well. I don't remember Jk did the same support/backing for the other TTU performance. Their bond shine through in difficult times.
Even when they are that tired... I hate when this happens and I know how it make them feel bad, but I love this performance anyways. They are awesome as pleaple and professionals 💜
It breaks my heart when I see a reaction of BTS on one of their performances when they are struggling with colds or sore throats or even the mic. They still have to perform it even tho they know its not gonna sound right. Especially when you learn their character and find out how bad it bothers them 😭😭😭💜💜💜💜....i knew the second when jimins put his hand up to his chest he was gonna struggle. Even Tae and Jungkook sounded like they were struggling. Its ok we love them anyway and we know how they really sound.BTS=ARMY=BTS....ARMYMOM PULLING FOR HER BOYS

Just from Vs first verse I could tell this performance isn't the best. They seem tired and sick. They probably performed a very hard choreo song before this one or this is one of the last performances from the concert. I couldn't watch more than Jimins first verse.
This video is exactly why Jin and JK are considered the most stable vocalist. This was towards the end of the concert and Jin had just belted his lungs off in the song prior. Wonderful job overall, all 4 of them!
Some of comments are strange here. A few are focussing just on how tired/ill Tae, Jimin and Jk are. But those very comments don’t mention Jin at all. they could at least give credit to Jin for being consistent. He sounds stable here
This suddenly popped onto my feed. This might be the 1st time i watched them very tired and ill. I watched tons od live performances of this specific songs, and all were so so so amazing. I still admore JIN here for being consistent. But with others, i hope they got loads of resr after this! Too sad seeing them like this.
I am extremely sorry but this wasn't their best performance. They were extremely tired and their vocal cords got no rest for a while prior to this. If you ever want to react to BTS lie performances in the future, you can ask the ARMY in the community tab. They will be glad to send you proper links.
no actually don't do that. they will share the same televised performance like they do with everyone else. which won't be representative at all. when people react to that same the truth untold performance it's really annoying. that is one televised performance that really stands out differently than any of their live performances because everyone there sounds pretty perfect whereas in any really live performances you can hear v and especially jimin messing up some parts in concerts. this was actually a way above average live performance of this song. otherwise what's the point and you might as well react to the studio recording. like i feel it's unfair on jungkook and jin because they are always very consistent with this song especially, and moreover live performances -as imperfect as they can be- they are still very special.
@@brm9832 lmao, you really are pushing this agenda that this performance is above average. it's obvious you just want to put V and "especially jimin" in bad light. it's literally known that he's sick here. you're one of those who keeps pushing the agenda that v and jimin have unstable voices while jk and jin have stable voice. jin literally sounds out of breathe here. jk barely hanging on too. they're all tired. it's still a good performance all things considered but above average? lol. go whine and delude yourself somewhere else
@@brm9832 hi, I'm just curious how many concerts you've been to? I know the videos of their less impressive performances get circulated a lot because people like to point out their mistakes, but I honestly had the impression they were pretty consistent live from watching televised live appearances and concerts this year. Is that not usual? As someone with a really good ear, it makes me wince to hear them flat like this. I don't want to react like that at a concert someday when the mood is so amazing and uplifting. 😅
It's hard to get consistent recommendations even from ARMY, though. I question sometimes if a lot of people can hear flat and sharp notes or just forgive everything. Lol. Not saying they aren't allowed to be human, but it's nice to show off their best sides. Maybe a poll of popular performances would narrow it down even further. But that is a lot of work! 😂😂😂
@@brm9832 I kind of understand what you're trying to say but I would like to politely disagree. The purpose isn't to show them perfectly pitched televised vocals. Singers are humans and have good & bad singing days. Kpop idols perform up to 20 songs every other day for months when they're on tours. This is bound to have some adverse effect on the performances towards the tail end of the tour. Raw vocals doesn't mean you take a video where one member is sick and judge them. I don't think you're a vocal coach so you may not understand that stability does not elevate your worth as a singer. Jin and Jungkook are absolutely amazing live performers but so are V and Jimin. And ALL of them have good and bad singing days as vocalists. V was extremely sick and was even crying in one performance because he could not even sing. Does this mean he's unstable? Or does it mean he cannot sing? Or that he makes mistakes? No. These vocal coaches aren't fools. It's very easy to hear vocal mixes and reverb. If you train your ear enough, even you can differentiate. But just because the pitch of performances is a little tweaked, it doesn't mean that the "mistakes" have been corrected. You have to hold the correct note for the pitch to be corrected as well. A lot of my friends have seen BTS many times. And they always say vocal line is brilliant. My friend who saw Truth Untold live said that Jin and V stood out even with their short parts, Jimin slayed his high notes and Jungkook was perfect as always. Hope you understand a bit now. 🤦♀️ If not, then you need to be a little less biased. Because from a completely objective point of view, V is an absolutely supreme vocalist and Jimin has one of the most unique voices ever.
If anything this performance shows the professionalism of a group performing emotionally, compassionately, and effectively even in their darkest hours.
The translation is a bit off. The actual translation is much more beautiful, more poetic.

@@heyrobwest3908 They're DVDs 🤨 it's not that hard, cassette tapes are harder to find these days. They always make concerts' DVDs and other content dvds and it always sells.
I just love the vulnerability of their voices during this song, artistic take on the song is amazing
These guys are exhausted, and inside they are crying, that is not BTS at full potential. Such a shame.
It's up to the will of Twitch chat 😞
ugh i love when this guys reacts to bts. he always sounds so genuine and i find myself appreciating different aspects of their voices and performances every time. what more could you ask for? (more. i could ask for more 👉👈)
what you hear off the bat is actually the outro of another song called epiphany. i recommend you listen to a live performance of it too. and read the lyrics it’s probably the best bts song very powerful. it's another slow song though.
ah, actually it has that high note you liked the best in your first bts reaction i think.
Jimin and V were sick and JK and Jin were tired because it was the end of the world tour
Isn't the one supposed to be most tired is Jin? He immediately sang this just after he performed epiphany. At least the other vocalist have time to rest, but Jin must perform this after epiphany that has a lot of highnote
@@melzz It was at the end of a world tour and the others danced in their solos before...
@@taeunattae yeah but remember jin sang this immediately just after he sang epiphany without any interval to rest, and this also his end of tour
@@melzz I'm not arguing with you all I'm saying is Jimin and V were actually sick so obviously they would be tired
I love Jin's voice...well i love them all💜
It's not JIMIN's best performance, but that's ok.
I really love Jin's voice in the truth untold
Me too
Me too
Me too
Jimin wasn't feeling well here.. other version V was the one who's not feeling well.. i think the Japan tour was the good one...
Och, they're not in a good shape here... Jimin was sick, they're all really tired after many performances. Hope you will react to the other video of "The Truth Untold" to see their real talent. It's really sad and emotional song. As I saw, Jimin was really harsh on himself after this performance :(
I would love to see your reaction to BTS- Your eyes tell. Their vocals in this song are insane
We can see the powerful and talented vocals of our 4 vocalists in this song "The Truth Untold ".💜💜💜
I think V's voice really suits this song but he has not many lines there... Poor Taehyung
I loved that you talked about the way they sing to match the feelings!
For me it is one of the main reasons to their worldwide success, because we, non korean speakers, need to feel what they are trying to convey!
My bias is actually not jin and his voice ain't my fav but I've noticed so many times that jin has absolutely got the best control on his voice while live performances
my favorite song in the vocal line is 'house of cards'.
Vocal line's strengths and harmony are perfect.
The Truth Untold💜one of my fav BTS song..BTS vocal line is so amazing..love them so much💜
JIN IS THE BEST
I think Jin and JK shined in this particular performance!
I loved your reaction! You really went in depth with this and I enjoyed all you comments on their dynamics and tones, and how that all changed!
Jin always on point 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for this reaction 💜
BTS is going to be on MTV unplugged in two days time. Maybe you'd be interested in reacting to their performance? Should be around 30 minutes long I think 🤔
Please look at other performance videos.. Jimin calls when his throat is very bad and there is a lot of sound deviation. At that time, I cried because my voice didn't come out after the performance.
Truth Untold and House of Cards are 2 song my favourite from BTS. But truth there are dozens favorites 😍🤩 greetings from Tricity in Poland 👍
Where was this performance at? I actually love it. Despite their exhaustion, they gave it all and I think it sounds great.
YES totally true. They gave it all. That's what being a pro is all about.
the lyrics of this song give me chills, the history behind is increddible
I hope you realize that the story is totally made up by BigHit 😉
@@sariel8406 no it's not. it's based on a legend fiction story about smeraldo flower medium.com/@indrachapa/legend-of-the-smeraldo-flower-d0e689b167af
@@sariel8406 no it’s not
@@MOON_LIGHT818 Yes, it is.
More BTS vocal-inclined songs - Your Eyes Tell (Japanese) and Magic Shop.
thank you! awesome reaction! would love to see you reacting to House of cards performance and Magic Shop!;)
I enjoy it!
This is when jimin was sick. V and jk were tired. I wish if you did react to other video performance of this song can you please do it
You have to watch "Your eyes tell". IT's a song made by Jungkook!!
I think this was the time Jimin not feeling well and someone was backing him up his part. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
This was such a great reaction. I love that you understand the vocal structures. I could talk to you for hours. This song is a beautiful and the vulnerability of the performance. Chef Kiss! Thank you, I really enjoyed your take on this video.
I love this song! They deliver the feelings...
Jin is always the most stable when it comes to live performances 💯
I’ve never seen kook singing like this, like it still sounds amazing but he sounds kinda on the edge compared to his always perfect sounding vocals wow
Despite the exhaustion and HOW HARD THIS SONG IS, they did amazing
(I’ve tried singing this song and let me tell you it ain’t an easy one)
Ellos suenan tan bien 🥺 sus voces son hermosas y ponen sus emociones en la canción, especialmente la última parte me erizó la piel, sus voces siempre penetran y envuelven mi alma 🥺💜
I so appreciate your analysis. Thanks for posting this on here.
Please react to BTS Magic Shop Live Performance. Thank you.
Thank you for reacting!! i always enjoy your commentary on bts
Even when they are that tired... I hate when this happens and I know how it make them feel bad, but I love this performance anyways.
They are awesome as pleaple and professionals 💜
Thank you for a beautiful insight :) this is not my favorite performance of this song, but still they sing so amazingly 🥰
First time here, love your reaction! 💜💜🇲🇽🇲🇽💜💜
Checkout BTS vocal line's "HOUSE OF CARDS" and Dimple😊
The intro is from Jin's solo Epiphany
I so loved ❤ this song of them...and thank you for making the screen bigger , while doing your reactions, viewers love to watch BTS perform 💜 I myself watch all their videos..I will be a regular subscriber of yours...
The harmonizing and adlibs of jungkook and emotions he brings to the song give me gossbombs every time
Just from Vs first verse I could tell this performance isn't the best.
Jin is the best most consistent and natural singer❤
You should also listen to House of Cards. It's an older song, but it's also just the vocal line and it's so beautifully heart wrenching.
There's litterally written jiminslostjams96 on the screen
Lol people send in the video right before we watch it, I don't choose em 😂
Some of comments are strange here. A few are focussing just on how tired/ill Tae, Jimin and Jk are. But those very comments don’t mention Jin at all. they could at least give credit to Jin for being consistent. He sounds stable here
This suddenly popped onto my feed. This might be the 1st time i watched them very tired and ill. I watched tons od live performances of this specific songs, and all were so so so amazing. I still admore JIN here for being consistent. But with others, i hope they got loads of resr after this! Too sad seeing them like this.
This from their tour when Jimin was sick!!
I love Jungkook's voice that touches
my heart 💜
More BTS reaction. Love lots.
They were very tired I hear ... after intense dance..... look for diffrent life concert
U need to react singularity its just🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jin💎
funny fact, this song was produced by popular dj Steve Aoki!
Most emotional performance that expresses their vulnerabilities
BTS just did a cover of Coldplay's Fix You on MTV Unplugged 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Taehyung's part sounded best. It's a pity that so little ...
Such a beautiful song!
Veré otras reacciones tuyas, aquí Jimin estaba enfermo, todos estaban cansados de la gira pero creo que fuiste muy amable con esta presentación! 🫰🏻💜
I love your reactions thank you 💜💜💜
I love this song so much. But they were so tired! Isn't the best live. But was from their hearts 💜
If not, then you need to be a little less biased. Because from a completely objective point of view, V is an absolutely supreme vocalist and Jimin has one of the most unique voices ever.
