This is a video of me playing Cemetery Gates by Pantera on Rocksmith 2014. This is probably my favorite Pantera song of all time and it made it to Rocksmith 2014!!! Also my first time learning it on the guitar and I absolutely love it... What a blast to play!
Anyhow, hopefully it gives you all a general idea of how to play the song, even if it is a bit messy in parts. As always, appropriate comments and constructive feedback are appreciated :)

I've never known much about playing guitar. but I've always loved the art, and the huge amounts of notes to hit on the screen really show the talent required to do it correctly. I might get into actually playing with this game.

Also why are there dislikes? He nailed it perfectly. You can't get a perfectly perfect score on this sort of stuff on rocksmith. Because quite often the game doesn't register harmonics, bends etc. It is possible though to get a song to 100+% on learn a song with making few mistakes.

I'm getting into RS2014 myself. I had the original and I never enjoyed it as much as this. Especially because you basically couldn't turn off the DYN DIFF as in if you really messed something up it downgraded your DD.. I'm lovin this one. My question is, when your practicing do you spend tons of time replaying sections till you play perfect or do you just go along with the whole song and play to it? I used to slow them right down but lately I've just been jamming and getting fairly high scores just going off the screen as I go, like 85-86% for fear of the dark for example. Just wondering how you do it. Thanks!

you can, but you need xbox live, psn (if you have ps3) and $10... when you load the game, it should say if you want to import songs... go to shop, and buy the import tool for $10, any more questions, or if unclear, reply back! :)

Hmmm... I would give the edge to Cemetery Gates in terms of difficulty but not by much. They are both amazing though... Dimebag at his best IMHO!
he played it good but the system adds to many delays on the switches and it cut out a section of the intro 0.0 and why didnt it add the other guitar without it it sounds wierd

the pinch harmonics are difficult for me to get consistently
I don't hit them all the time either. I found the best place to land them is just behind the neck pickup for the 8a and a little farther back toward the bridge pickup for the 9d... At least for my guitar.

Thanks Mike! You have to play the pinch harmonics part yourself, which is great. In fact, the only thing the game really provides is the tone for the song, the notation (how they transcribed it), and the song to jam with. It is up to you to play notes along with the song.

I learned to play the song based only on the tab in the game, which does include the tab for the legato run in the solo.

Hey Nick great job. Quick question, how long have you been playing and how much has Rocksmith helped?
Thanks! I have been playing for what I like to call 8+ years of practice over a 20 year span of time. I started in my teens and pretty much quit in my 20s but got back into it when Rocksmith came out. The game has inspired me to play and practice again so I am very grateful for that. I can't say I learned any new techniques from the game but I did pick up some new skills based on the diversity of the songs.
At the end of the day, there is no substitute for practice. You get out of it what you put into it :)
Nick Smith I'm 19 and just started now with Rocksmith. Had it for a bit over a week now and I've picked it up pretty fast. I am really enjoying Rocksmith :)
