Both guitar parts play lead. It well known as a dualing guitar song. both playing parts. Man why are we soo venomous. Great players don't separate them.

I just listened to the "Freebird" performance and would like to say to the performer "Well done!" and to the other naysayers, "fuck you," though that is not to be construed as a blanket statement against all of the partakers of this channel. Like i wrote below, Rocksmith generates a note chart for the game. I have listened to "Freebird" a lot of times...a lot....a really fucking substantial a lot of times.When i see the Rocksmith note chart of the song and listen to it on this channel, I realize it is not a note for note reproduction. Cuz Lynrd Skynrd had five or more or less members during their reign. (wikipedia fucking reference) Please give this guitarist credit for doing an amazing job of playing "freebird' for us.
it's not the whole lead because original rocksmith (which this is from) couldn't chart the slide guitar well, it's not in either chart

How did you get this song in rocksmith 2014? My steam says that free bird is only on the old version of rocksmith
It got taken down a year or so ago. Sadly it seems that if you didn't buy it when it was available you can't get your hands on it :(
It's basically in the rs1 compatibility pack. I have the file tho

Yeah, the chart of this song is not very good, there's various mistakes on the dual solos, they didn't manage to translate very well what's going on.
Imma just put this out there, over the past three weeks of me playing rocksmith this song is not on there. Even for dlc

This is how rocksmith shows the fretboard. Imagine yourself sitting behind the guitar and the guitar is clear.

LOL. i read the comments below before watching the vid. my inclination is "fuck you you fucking whingers" (look it up.) Rocksmith has a model that there is one lead guitar, one rythym, one bass guitar and drum. They painstakingly take the original track and transcribe it to this model. It is not always the case that it works out...they take liberties. sometimes there are 3 guitarists, sometimes one. sometimes there is a floutist or an accordianist and they try to fit that in to the note chart. Forgive them for fucking yodelists like in "hocus pocus" by Focus. I mean WTF? How do you chart YODELLING? (awesome song BTW!!!!) (Dutch band, like Golden Earring) (Radar Love!!!)
i see that Rocksmith, in every case, is trying to give you an interpretation of the song that fits their model. Not perfect always, very very good often.

its a dlc for rockmith normally aswell, which is weird, cus this is the exact same.
This chart was designed without the slide, deal with it.

I just picked a song up and I am irritated because it doesn't have all the lead parts I want my money back somebody tell ubisoft they messed up And after gonna do this song you better do it right I want a refund
Do you not understand that some lead parts are literally impossible to chart?
So first off, I'm pretty sure this song is free and came with RS1.
Second, you are irritated because you are trying to learn guitar , an instrument which requires much patience and discipline and you are on top of that trying to learn how to play Free Bird (one of the more harder songs to learn) .
Third, its charted appropriately if you were a band featuring a lead/rhythm/bass (which is a strict algorithm RS adheres to and all the songs they chart are based off this kind of build)
The actual band had about 3 guitars going at once and if they charted all of that it would have been a cluster.
Learn the song in parts to prevent frustration, use other resources besides just RS to learn guitar. RS is alot of fun and not a day goes by I dont play it, but I leave it for the end of my practice sessions so I can end off the day with some fun and still retain the excess learning from earlier

using our new RS2014 standards where some songs have up to 3 different leads, it does disappoint quite a lot considering they could have just done well with 2 leads. I dont mind that they didnt chart the slide guitar but if you look at green grass and high tides it should have been charted like that with 2 leads, rhythm, and bass. Also the lead tone sounds like absolute shit in game...
@@mongo_sk yes the tones are especially bad for all the RS1 imports, I like to keep 4 custom tones setup that I just opt in on the fly when I'm playing on PC
@Danny Lix Kandi there is a slide arrangement available on CDLC. It got uploaded a couple of months ago, I highly recommend it, great tones and arrangement.
