  • XTX is a good bike, but it is too damn low! Whenever you try to push it, everything scratches the tarmac: footpegs, bike stand, frame...
HD and fullscreen to see the sparks!

Put stiffer front springs in the forks. wilbers springs are nice. set the rear shock absorber 1 or 2 settings higher. This wil stiffen the bike up a lot and wil give you more groundclearance in the corners. Got it on my 660x i weigh 100kg and the footpegs rarely touch the ground

ok thanx for the reply. a shame that the suspension mods dint fix it.
maybe the pegs and sidestand are just to damm wide.
stil love the 660 can compete with alot lighter and more hp supermotards.

    Hello, how are you doing?
Choosing between D-Tracker 250 and XT660X as a starter bike, what would you prefer? DRZ400 are too damn pricy here.

Haha mate i've done all this afterwards. Wilbers springs and oil fork with twice more viscosity (20w instead of 10w). Rear shock absorber higher. And I weigh only about 70kg with all my gear on. Still, I was scratching footpegs in every corner. It was a lot better though, and my bike stand rarely kissed the tarmac. Check out roadtrip supermoto 2012 prologue on youtube (watch?v=xiQV2b80Nes around 2:15), it's after mods and it's still pretty low ;)

Agree, it's a very well balanced and very intuitive bike.
    Here is the proof: watch?v=be3B7HuLrvE
But if you push it to the limits with more "sporty" motards, remember that it's a heavy bike and that the brakes lack endurance...
I crashed in the downhill part of stelvio pass because I overheated both rear and front brakes...: watch?v=Es1XNHkBxCA (from 14:55)
