Some of my older Duros came with bracelets. I bought those factory bracelets for the ones that came with the resin band. I now own at least a half dozen Duros. I bought so many thinking that it might be discontinued soon. But they never were.
The mdv-106 were, now, only mdv-107 with no Marlin. I think some that day, they will increase their value. Some places the 106 are already the double of the price of 107. Hold on those watches!
this is exactly what I constructed with a mdv106 all blue from usa and the original bracelet from UK (that was the fastest combination here in spain, but oh well.) Expensive in terms of taxes, but I love it.
I've seen other UA-camrs using special pliers, brad nails, needle nose pliers, etc. to remove those links. None of them did it as easily as you and they scuffed or scratched their watches one way or another. Excellent work and video. 👍🏽
Thanks. Ive had so much practice adjusting the bracelet for the Casio World Time Royale (as1200), that by now, this one was fairly straightforward. That being said, my first 2 bracelet adjistments on the AE1200 were horrendous lol, and i definitely scracthed it up.
I bought myself a Duro for Xmas and I hated the silicone band. I looked for something like this and wasn't able to find one. I would up going with a $35 Amazon Steel jubilee bracelet. I would have liked to have done this but could not find one of these bracelets. I take this back - yours is folded stamped stainless steel... I am glad I went with the solid links.
Very informative! I found the 106D mentioned on the web and ordered that same bracelet some time ago. While I think it's too nice to be a beater watch, I have inadvertently bashed a couple of links so I can testify that this is definitely not the most rugged bracelet out there. The edges showing its sheet metal construction are my least favorite aspect but I agree that it's worth buying if you want value and fit. Plus, it does look good.
Useful video. It's just not an option for me. I can't stand a pressed link bracelet. I ordered one from Aliexpress that has solid links. The hollow ends are maybe not quite where these are (the openings are just too big in my opinion) but it's a decent compromise. Ultimately I think I'm headed for a NATO for this thing.
@@francohic In this video he calls them "folded links" but I've always heard them called pressed links. Each individual link is made of strips of metal rolled on itself to make a link but when you look at the sides of the links you can see they aren't a single solid piece of metal. Crap just for the shortened stem-tube treading, it will wear out the crown threading and fail in time, plus it's not going to seal because it can't compress against the crown's own seal.
Dang, thats too bad. Im selling mine if youre interested. Used only 1 month, minor signs of use. $20 + shipping within the U.S. i can film a video of it and post if youd like to see the quality

Should I purchase the all black or pepsi on metal bracelet? On the fence and can't make up my mind. Thanks.

What bracelet did you get, was it solid steel or bent sheet metal?
@@mikeyKnows_ the original one from Casio. The one and only official bracelet for this watch.
Great detailed video and appreciate you providing bracelet link! I just picked up the blk/gold and now need the blue after watching this!
I picked up the bracelet and use it on my black duro. Love it! Thanks again. P.S. I now have 4 Duros and need the green next : )
Long Island watch co. made the best bracelet for Duro. They have oyster and jubilee style bracelets. Milled clasp and more microadjustment holes.

I wonder why Casio stopped making the one that came with a steel bracelet? So many other of their dive-style watches have one.
Quite detailed and comprehensive

Thanks. My wrist size is 6.75"
I think your video drove his prices up - $69 now - taking the piss 🙂 Thanks for the good video though!!
Who knows. Several retailers sell the same bracelet. Do some research and find something cheaper. It's out there
I hope they bring back the MDV-106D back?
Thank you for this video.
What do you recommend for my 9iinch wrist?? I have 5 Duros all different colors on Barton Watch Bands (Long).

i have MTP VD01D. Can i use its original steel bracelet for the Duro? They look similiar
Pacparts in Torrance CA are the US official parts dealer for Casio.
FYI. The Ebay seller you highlighted has more than DOUBLED their price for the bracelet to $49.99.
Yeah. Thats too bad. Maybe another seller will have them cheaper
FYI now it's $ 63 🥲
$69.00 + $18.75 for shipping
In 2023 there are a number of inexpensive after-market bands for the Duro that include the Marlin logo.
Do you know if the locking clasp can be removed for an better one? I don't see how to remove one of the pins.
