I beat this game like 4 days ago and it has already become my favourite classic Megaman game, and for the first time I can say without regret that this game stacks up to even the X and Zero series. This game is amazing.
If you liked this game, you should play the 4th and 5th Game Boy games, they play similarly and are very fun. There's a DX rom-hack for the fifth that's gonna release soon, as well.
@@GetShrekd can you explain to me why you don't like it that much? I'd really like to know since I genuinely struggle to find stuff that I don't like about this game lol.
@@marx4538 i know its been 3 months but I wanted to say this. When I read this comment I was like "okay cool, I'll play em' whenever I feel like it" and just forgot about them since when thinking about Gameboy Megaman games I just pictured that they'd be downgraded versions of the console games, (kind of like the Xtreme games) with worse controls, graphics, gameplay and what not. But now that I've actually played MMIV (or MMW4) I'm happy to say that I couldn't have been more wrong about them. It's a really good game, don't know if I prefer it to the console game, but it's definitely better than it has any right to be lol. I'm currently starting MMW5 and from the looks of it, it seems to improve basically everything from MMW4. I just wanted to say this because the Gameboy games really surprised me in a way I wasn't expecting them to. Really nothing more to add here.

My dad was a big fan of the classic and x series, This is the first Megaman game i remember because the opening just went a little to hard on the music and made a masterpiece.
My best friend was driving my car to pick up another friend to go to a game convention.I put this song on for the mood. I caught my friend speeding and told him to slow down.He said sorry because this song was so good and energetic! Edit:This was a few days ago!
Why is SNES Mega Man significantly more jacked than the rest of the games, look at the cover for Mega Man Soccer. That man benches at least twice his weight.
@@defendpolicedefunddemokkkr6976 yep. It really did and it's obvious. Sega had to fight back with more gore and witty marketing, but in the end the SNES is simply the better machine with generally more polished games.
@@adanishedgehog2011 objectively the SNES has better graphics (more colors, graphic effects like scaling, rotation, etc.) and sound, and AAA games feel more polished than the AAA games on Genesis. I love the Genesis but I think the SNES gave a more refined experience.
This music set me up for an epic adventure, bigger and better than any of the NES games that I adore so much... and then, not only do I realise that this is the best track in the game, but the gameplay is half-baked and the "difficulty curve" is a nonsensical squiggle.
Now that I think about it Megaman fails this mission... When he arrives the city is already destroyed, he doesn't make in time to stop Wily from escaping the prison and before he can reach him he's stopped by Bass who saves time for Wily, letting him escape

My introduction to the Mega Man series
Only 9 is better than this one imo.

Mine too, my cousins had it, we played it so much throughout the years.
Sounds good for Snes, The boss if this stage was fun despite being ridiculously easy

The best track
Best intro stage theme, although X2 and X5(X stage) are amazing as well
The best megaman intro stage theme
X1 still is still my number 1, but this is definitely taking 2nd.

that game needs a remaster
As vezes as músicas mais simples são as melhores

In terms of audio and graphics quality the SNES really blew the Genesis out of the water.

For a game made in THREE MONTHS, i'd say it's pretty good.
oh my fucking god...this theme...
The bass part at the beginning sounds like a bass line from a real early Iron Maiden tune
acá escuchando el tema de apertura de mi primer juego de Mega Man. Desde esta melodía, me volví su admirador de por vida.
