That was a concern of mine when I purchased it but, so far so good. The rubber material on the wheel doesn’t gather debris or dust, it consistently keeps its grip, and the spring keeps the downward pressure perfectly. The longer I use it the more confidence I gain and trust the way it measures. Great product…….wish I could be sponsored….LOL!
I've come across a design issue with the M1. You need 6' on either side of your saw or you can't calibrate or use unit. I messaged Reekon for a hopeful workaround. If 6' to either side of the saw is required to set up, Reekon needs to include this in the product description so people will know beforehand.
Thanks Christopher! I did notice that later on after I made the video but never talked to anyone about it and just noted it in my head to remember. Hopefully they respond to you. So far though this thing has been working very well!
@@weetzerswoodshop I've requested a return to Lowe's and hopefully this post will save someone else of having to return the device. I built my own custom mitre saw station and can't move it without an incredible amount of effort. I'd literally have to tear it down and build a new one. If one does not have 6' of clearance on both sides of their saw blade they will not be able to calibrate and use this device. Hopefully Reekon will release a newer revision without this limitation; in the meantime make a notation on their site of the 6' calibration requirement so users can make informed buying decisions and not have to return their device like I have to tomorrow. Their CS rep forwarded my message to their development team and told me to return the M1 to the vendor I bought it from. Hopefully I have better luck with the T1 Tomahawk tape measure when it is released.
The three fans joke just earned you another one even before i watched the content.
Appreciate it!
So after 5 months? Is it still reliable? Has the saw vibration or constant sliding of material through loosen the wheel at all?

Sorry Niels, I just saw you comment. You can now purchase these at Amazon. And it looks as though the price went down.

👏👌👌👍🤝
do you ever get anything done?
Haha! Never for me just for everyone else.
why not opt to ion lith battery?
Good idea!
You should stack up the 3 4" pieces and see if you can feel the difference in length. Your skill with a digital caliper is lacking.
halo
30 min is too much
Then go watch some one else’s video.
But yet you watched
Boring
