People use the word underrated too much, it has no meaning anymore. This band was signed by a major label, have about a dozen of albums and their own record label. They are properly rated.
No doubt Nonpoint is a great band , underrated is not a correct description for them. Signed by a major label and have a plethora of albums , but Sevendust is a whole different monster.
I just heard this cover for the first time on SiriusXM a couple weeks ago, and thought it was a phenomenal take on it, but never realized how long it's been floating around.
Big fan of the original. Can't believe I never heard this cover. Love the style. I think it does justice to the original and still stands completely on its own. Excellent.
I absolutely love it when I hear other bands pay homage to older songs, respect is everything, an aslong as they do it tastefully there's nothing wrong with redoing an older song like this one, make it more interesting with your own spin on it, without changing it to much.. CRANK IT UP LOUDER, ROCK ON EVERYONE !!
Worthy successor to the original Phil Collins song. And that 2006 Miami Vice movie...in terms of substance and style, it was ahead of its time. That movie has aged very well. Disappointed that a Miami Vice 2 was never made.

Not a huge fan of remakes but Nonpoint seriously killed this song and did some serious justice and I'm sure Phil Collins would be damn proud of this version!!!
@@bambam4857 Not only that, but when the song was released, there were some people talking smack about Phil Collins and his drumming ability. Now, Phil cannot play drums anymore due to wear and tear on his shoulders, as well as his overall decline in health. An absolutely masterful cover. The original was perfect for the show. This version is perfect for the movie. I wish it had been included on the soundtrack.
This version just slaps. The love I have for the original is always offset with how long it takes for the drums to kick in & Nonpoint doesn't hesitate right from the start.
