The second I saw the high ground spot with two jackals and two marines.... it clicked. Well done. Never noticed this, but fucking awesome catch, man. I wonder if that was the subtle implication or not? Seems highly likely. Either way, it's canon for me, now.
The 2 marines and 2 jackals on a fallen pillar in guilty spark way to close to be fighting there is no way bungie intended that its the best piece of subtle storytelling I've seen in such a old game and shows how dangerous the flood are that the fucking jackals the most petiest of aliens in the covenant team up with marines in a desperate attempt to fight against an unstoppable force
There is a certain beauty troughout the neverending conflicts mankind burdens itself with, that when the barriers of hate, indroctination (be it by ideology or religion) and ego are crumbled , that we can put aside our differences and work for survival ,development or peace. Seeing this played in the future world, where the barriers are not from fellow man, but aliens kinda rekindles a bit of a youthfull dream i once had as a child, by fighting with said aliens then against them.
I really appreciate the pictures of the boys on the pelican at the end. There’s something very natural about the composition that makes it look startlingly like a real picture of some dude hanging out in Operation Desert Storm or something like that.
This was one of my favourite moments in the game, the idea of humans and covenant putting hate aside and holding on togheter was so heartwarming. I basically grew up on this game, Bungie is basically my 3rd parent, if i love aliens and science, and maybe even have so much empathy, and i like having control of the situation, no joke this game might be one of the reasons

Halo 1 had some many great moments told just from the environment it's insane
A beautiful story that doesn't need to be told with words!
Hope the algorithm helps this out, this is really good.
Even if I never watch another one of your videos you'll have my subscribe forever for this masterpiece!
Reminds me of that mod for Halo 1 where you play as the flood, and you can enter that room and kill the four of them.
fantastic work, the enviroment of Halo CE is always surprising
Installation00 mentioned your work.
NICE!
Why does this video have SO little views. This was AMAZING
They were once enemies but in the end they became brothers environmental storytelling will never be as iconic as halo
The second I saw the high ground spot with two jackals and two marines.... it clicked. Well done. Never noticed this, but fucking awesome catch, man. I wonder if that was the subtle implication or not? Seems highly likely. Either way, it's canon for me, now.
It's cannon. Kig Yar are mercs for the covies meaning that they had no real hatred for Humanity at this point outside of contractual obligation.
So glad instillation 00 gave you the shout out beautiful work
The 2 marines and 2 jackals on a fallen pillar in guilty spark way to close to be fighting there is no way bungie intended that its the best piece of subtle storytelling I've seen in such a old game and shows how dangerous the flood are that the fucking jackals the most petiest of aliens in the covenant team up with marines in a desperate attempt to fight against an unstoppable force
Yea, its crazy as fuck. Brings me tears of sorrows for some code, wtf
This is like my 20th time coming back to watch this. I love it.
343i can truly learn from this video and by actually paying attention to the older games.
This was great ❤ You should do one for the odst police officers in the HQ who defended the elevator with snipers.
Someone finally animated this scene! This is amazing!
I really appreciate the pictures of the boys on the pelican at the end. There’s something very natural about the composition that makes it look startlingly like a real picture of some dude hanging out in Operation Desert Storm or something like that.
I absolutely love this. Great job with the music, animation, and dark atmosphere. I subscribed in hopes you will make more🔥🔥🔥
This was one of my favourite moments in the game, the idea of humans and covenant putting hate aside and holding on togheter was so heartwarming. I basically grew up on this game, Bungie is basically my 3rd parent, if i love aliens and science, and maybe even have so much empathy, and i like having control of the situation, no joke this game might be one of the reasons
This reminds me of old school halo 2 machinimas. This is what we need to see more of. It's sad and heartwarming and tragic and heroic.
Thank you for getting them the story
These Marines looked at those jackals and said I hate you and you hate me but we are in this shit together let's fuckin do this
I’m going through the Halo series for the tenth time with a co-worker. It’s his first time and I have to say, your videos have added something nostalgic while also being brand new to our experience. You’ve made a 24 year veteran of the series feel like there’s still more content, and for my pal it’s a fleshed out experience. He wants to get into the books now, and I think your vids that act as accessory/world building content is what pushed him to start the books.
I hope you don’t stop. In fact, I would love to see specific events fleshed out, such as the Zuka Zamamee story from Halo Novel The Flood.
I’ll need to donate to you. Halo’s what I always come back to, and the fact that you’ve added more to my favorite franchise all these years from when I first played it just makes me feel young again, while making the story feel all the more epic. Please keep going 😎
"righteous souls continued to fight, believing that they could defeat the darkness, and as they fought together they stumbled together into peace"
I remember discovering the corpses on my second playthrough. It amazed me. It also made me think. How many other details or stories have I or others have missed? Thats what I loved about it. Finding stories known only to yourself and few others.
Man, it makes me sad to think that alliance ended like it. Way too epic
That final picture of the Marines 😢.
HooRah!
I'm commenting in hopes that it boosts the algorithm a little.
A year old video with only 18,000 views with auch an emotional scene to show...under rated
Love this! Absolutely love it! 343i with all their funding don't have people who think so much. Greatly appreciated dude
ok its been out a whole year, so how in the ever loving god is it only at 21k views
more people need to see this and give it the attention it deserves
I never thought id get angry watching a jackle die but, here we are
I loved this mission in halo it's in my top 10 missions and moments, it felt like a horror game and this bid just brought back so much nostalgia.
I remember when I played it on the original Xbox and so many times throught the mission I found myself involuntarily holding my breath. Excellent video.
"Fate had us meet as foes but this ring will make us brothers". Best quote ever
next one gonna be about the ODST in High Charity with a flame thrower, calling it now.
This is a pretty nice nod to the Halo universe and it is greatly appreciated
Huh, I never caught that detail. Then again I was too busy fighting for my life against the cosmic horrors.
always liked finding this environmental storytelling scene during that level
00 showed off your fantastic work!
