I was in marching band in high school. It was always such a rush getting together with the band to learn the show! Basically, each marcher receives their own music and a, "marching card," that tells you where on the field to go (with a coordinate system based on the yard markers), and when to get there (based on the measures in the music). We would learn the music and the march separately, then work on playing and marching at the same time.
We did it in squads when I was in high school. Each squad was up to four people, everyone got a card showing their places and the squad would figure out how best to get to their spots with each change. Definitely was a fun time, I miss it
The OSU Marching Band may very well be the best. But all the Division 1 schools have great bands that consistently put on great shows. One of my other favorites is the Wisconsin Marching Band. Check out their awesome "Halftime Performance - Rose Bowl (1/1/20)" - a tribute to US Military Veterans.

Swedish Dude - you really need to watch the original Top Gun movie. ❤
I agree! You can't have a real reaction to this without seeing the movie
Thanks!
You need to watch the original Top Gun to have a real reaction to this. This is amazing!
