    Try using the Jeep Wrangler 4 Door Rubicon. Its longer, and that will give you more room to work with. You could also go for the 4 wheel drive. Lets face it, where I live 2 wheel drive is not going to get you out of the Rivers. From the Space Cost of Florida.

      I think the problem with 4wd is a technical one, because they already have the transfer-case running the boat motor

      I could see the police or search and rescue using it. It could be either a general purpose work horse or even a rescue vehicle that could rescue a swimmer out at sea, then drive directly onto the highway as an ambulance to the nearest hospital.

    Uh, MT, ever heard of the Gibbs Technologies Aquada? It's an amphibious car which can do 30 mph on the water, and can also pull a skier. If I were looking for an amphibious vehicle, I'd buy an Aquada over one of these guy's monstrosities. I think you have dropped the ball here, and covered the wrong car. Plus, I'm fairly certain that whether they meant to or not, they likely copied stuff Gibbs already owns patents for, so as soon as they go to sell their car, they're probably getting sued.

    Nah it's different. Brabus is like Merc's unofficial official partner. There's even the Brabus name on a Smart car. But there was a company making 300SL replicas, and guess what Merc did? They stripped the car to pieces with photo evidence. While I don't see any partnership or agreement between these guys and the big companies, and they just sculpted their cars to look like others, it's kinda worrying... Just saying.

    starting with the ram-vette and the jeep, commercialize it and see what needs improvement after tons of people using it, that'd be a great start. that's basically how electric cars started anyways. and maybe the big dogs of the motor industry can help em out once they do. you never know in a world like this. :)

    Let's face it, there's a ton of cars on the road that aren't really exceptional at anything but people still buy them. The fact that this car is above average on the road and exceptional on the water is more than enough to sell a bunch of them. Mass produce 100 and see if they sell! If I had money to burn I'd buy one!

    you want to get this technology off the ground... Get the thing in a JAMES BOND 007 movie doing things it can realistically do. I know that sounds crazy but if people realize, "Hey, this is a very real thing I can go and have made to order (minus anybwe weaponry for a Bond film) then you got something there... Get with BMW or LAND ROVER and Build a High Performance Amphibious SUV with street cred...

    Don't pull the wheels up, use a bottom like they use for air boats in the Everglades, add waterfoiles to make it ride high and ignore the waves as a hydrofoil and you can have high speed and stability. Continue to use the water jet propulsion. Use a 4 cyl turbocharged engine they are as powerful and lighter. Love the concept...

      ImZa1no Sure most of the world has 130K to spend. ImZa most of the world does not have 130K discretionary money to spend for their entire lifespan. The 1%'s can look at this price as not being expensive but us "middle class?????" have no chance except in our dreams. I applaud these guys for their ingenuity and accomplishment and hope to see their product out on the water, I only wish that more could have a chance to experience it.

    • @MrTigerprincess
      @MrTigerprincess 10 років тому +1

      13thSystem I neither begged nor bitched. I commented that the vehicle is beyond the price tag that the middle class can afford through most of their lifespan. If you listen to the video itself they comment that they changed from a sportscar water vehicle to a jeep type vehicle out of the practicallity of making a vehicle that more of the public would use and afford. My comment replied saying they have made a very useful and practical vehicle but it is not yet affordable to even the slightly well off but only to the very well off.
