Almost everything that needs to be said about how wonderful this show was has already been mentioned in the video and the comments... So I'm going to say something different. Have you noticed that in the scene where Rebecca hugs Ted, they had to get a shorter stand-in for Rebecca when showing Ted's face because, in heels, Hannah is taller than Jason and his face is buried in her shoulder. I always thought that was funny. Necessary, but funny nonetheless.

Great topics but please…….talk less. Set it up then let the moment speak for itself. We don’t need a full breakdown of what we’re about to see and then another breakdown of what we just saw. I would love to watch many more of your collections but I can’t get through the over-narration. Sorry to be blunt but I really want to be able to watch more of your stuff. I also LOVE Roy's speech about Rebecca finding someone that makes her feel like she's been struck by lightning rather than settling for someone who was fine. it literally gave me chills.
This moment is everything.
And Keeley’s expression when she realizes that Roy feels that way about her is just SO special!

The scene when Ted forgives Rebecca is so powerful, it truly deserves the #1 spot on this list. However, the memorable darts scene should have been in this list too, I'm sad it was left out!

I assumed to he dart scene would be #1
The dart game scene is humbling and brilliant for 2 reasons.
1. The episode with Trent Crimm, The Independent. Ted tells Trent “It ain’t always easy, but neither is growing up without someone believing in you.” Then during darts we find out he lost his dad when he was only 16.
2. “Barbecue sauce.”
Please explain the phrase as he nails the bull, 'barbecue sauce'?
@@morethanjustforkicks in an earlier episode he’s speaking with Rebecca and says “If you're about to take a winning shot, think of something that makes you smile. Mine is good ole barbecue sauce.”
Also the famous barBQ sauce is “Bulls eye”
3rd reason we find out in season 2 how Ted's father died and what it did to him

The scene where the team spelled out “Hi Boss” is also really sweet. Hannah Waddinghan has such a beautiful smile. Her whole face lights up.
I love the Office, HIMYM, Scrubs, Parks&Rec, but Ted Lasso is a show I think everyone should watch if they can! This show is genius, funny, heartfelt, incredibly acted, and truly one of a kind.

When Roy walked over to a stunned Jamie after Jamie's father ridiculed him in front of his team mates. Jamie was a lost soul at that point and knew he couldn't face anyone after that tirade from his father. Roy walked over and hugged Jamis which made Jamie cry like a baby. My heart opened more that men can emotionally support each other. Thank you so much for that scene.
You can tell the writers on the show are great fellows for sure

Nate's promotion def revealed part of his inner character and makes his transformation in season 2 make total sense
Season 1 Nate I wanted nothing more than to hug him and give him nothing but encouragement. Season 2 Nate…I wanna slap him on the backside of his head and tell him to quit being a selfish t’wt & cut the mean girl crap. He’s awful in season 2.
This is my new favorite show. I had almost forgotten what it felt like to watch tv and feel hopeful. It was something I didn't know I needed, but am grateful to have.
Rebecca holding ted's hands and then placing her palm on his cheek during the panic attack really put me to tears
As someone who deals with panic attack for the last 10 years, it’s the sweetest thing someone can do ; be there and being gentle
I think it’s kind of amazing that we can love Ted so much and not hate his wife for leaving him, and Rebecca for using him.
The writers are geniuses in that respect. The reason we don’t feel the animosity is because Ted holds none either. We naturally empathize with him because he is so good and decent, and so our love for him leads to us feeling right alongside him. I truly believe that we see the best of ourselves in him: despite all the bad things in life and our inexperience at so much, we can push ourselves to make the world around us a better place by focusing on being better and loving what life gives you.
@buttercakeluv A lesser man would have bailed when faced with 10k people chanting "wanker" at him, but not Ted. He's better than that. He took the chant and ran with it.

the character development in this show is just off the charts, i hope this show's gonna have more seasons to come.
In a season of so much pain and suffering, constant doubt about the goodness of people and society, Ted Lasso came along, like a lasso to a life raft. The show brings so much light and joy to my heart that’s so rare and hard to find recently. It deserves every bit of praise and recognition for possibly being the best show ever made.

The darts scene needs some love. I cried during that scene when he mentioned his dad. On my second viewing of Season 1, Ted mentioned to Rebecca that barbecue sauce took him back to a better time. When I watched the dart scene the second time, I cried even harder.

The darts scene is even more powerful because Ted is doing it out of kindness to his friend. Winning the bet at darts would mean Rebecca is spared having Rupert come to the games.

The dart scene is number one for me. Being that guy that mean people aren’t curious about, it gets me every time. That is my favorite TV moment for the past 5 years. Sad that it wasn’t even mentioned though. Waiting for the next list hopping that it is number 1.
This show summed up brits so well and because I'm British this show is so nice to watch especially these moments

How is Phoebe describing her Uncle Roy not on this list? Their relationship is one of the most heartwarming elements of the show. She described to Keely how her Uncle Roy is basically her hero and never even mentioned soccer once!!
Agree. Is just that this show is so full of heartwarming moments that is really impossible to say "this is better than this one". Ted Lasso really is a perfect show.

Ted's hank the dog story was so moving that I was weeping by the end of it.
Ted Lasso started as a funny sketch I saw on UA-cam 8 years ago and I enjoyed the comedy of it, then it became a show and I expected it to be corky and funny, but probably get canceled after a season. But it turned out to be so much more, it turned out to be a show that I needed. I think this is a show that we didn’t know that we truly needed until we received it.

what i like about the show is ted is just a good dude.
as for an omission, any scene where bad ass, rough around the edges roy kent softens up around his niece while still maintaining his image.
Nate's speech was the greatest moment of the show.

I’m not sure if this a heartwarming scene, but it is for me. The scene where Ted and Rebecca are talking about their fathers is one of the most heart wrenching scenes of the series. Then with the singing during Rebecca’s eulogy is what makes this show special.
You mean how she almost didn't make it through the song and Ted helped her get through the last part, then everyone started singing? You mean that?

Danny Rojas was one of my absolute favorite characters!!His exuberance for life, the shower scene trying to wash off death, his faith finding its way into the most interesting places like the scene at the funeral about the dress shoes (inspite of him apparently having 2 partners), tulip, the interaction with Zorro especially on the plane, his gamesaving play! What fabulous character development and brilliant acting! He is one of the characters I miss the most now that the show has ended😢
Ted Lasso warms my heart. The scene where he lets go of his wife, it was the most loving but heartbreaking break ups. Jason is such a good actor, I felt Ted’s hurt 😢

Honestly, after tonight’s episode, I was curiously heartbroken and simultaneously surprised.
I do think that Ted and Rebecca should be together, given their chemistry and life experience, but tonight’s episode threw me a helluva curveball. Especially after their Christmas did I think that.
To be honest I really want them to stay friends.
@@9527david Me too. Making them a couple would be just lazy writtng and way too unreal. Ted and Rebecca are now (after chapter 5 season 3) like brother and sister. More than friends but not romantically attached. Just perfect writing.

I just started ted and half way through the first season and what has struck me most is the fact that Ted is genuine.

Your number 1 is a great choice. For me it was for the fact she is not a hugger. During the fundraiser she opened with the joke about it. So for her to hug him shows how much she has changed.
really hoped the darts scene was the winner cause it's so wise but also so heartwarming and it perfectly reveals ted's motives and works so well with his character
This show is a hidden gem and shows you how good people can truly be. My heart stopped at the panic attack scene .

I'm crying just watching the snippets...I don't think I've ever seen a show that makes me cry more...it makes the laughter that more hilarious. Definitely a top 10 show in my 61 years of breathing!!!...Sudeikis is special, he developed every character and every character could've won a Best Supporting Emmy!!!...Hannah Waddingham makes my mouth water and her talent is through the roof!!!
Ted Lasso makes you want to be a better more understanding and compassionate person and that’s why I love this show!
Everyone should be made to watch Ted Lasso so they can learn what being a decent human being looks like. I love this show because of its genuine humanity.
When Roy Kent hugs Jamie in the locker room should definitely make the list
To me, three huge moments were left off. 1. Darts 2. "Don't you dare settle for fine" 3. Roy hugging Jamie.
I have seen so many TV series and films, all excellent. NONE of them have taken me on the emotional rollercoaster that Ted Lasso has.
The themes dealt with are serious but played out in such a way that they're believable and funny. This show makes me guffaw out loud in the lighter moments and brings a tear to my eye in the deeper moments.
This TV show is absolute gold.👍

“Pass Me The Tape” will be in the top 3 in any future episodes of this genre. I was a sobbing mess watching Jamie morph into a good human being.
That was such a deep scene man !!
The fact that Jamie genuinely felt for Sam, despite Sam’s obvious disdain for what he viewed as an empty attempt at trying to get them to like him, made it all the better.

Great list. Three other great ones to include would be the dart scene, Ted reassuring Rebecca that even though she thinks that no one else can see how horrible her ex-husband is, she's not the only one to see it, and Roy's speech about how love should be like you have been struck by lightning

There are 2 extremely important moments that really should’ve made this list.
“Curious not judgmental” dart game. I don’t even need to explain why this is so important.
“Way to make that extra pass.” The letter Ted gives Jamie after the Manchester City game. That moment is insanely important in the story of Jamie and his growth as a person.
Honorable Mention:
“All people are different people.”
My fav was when Ted “surprised” Rupert at the pub playing darts. Perfect!

i absolutely love this show. It makes me laugh and cry because it is so touching and funny. It restores our faith in humanity. When you turn on the TV and everything is so negative, Ted Lasso is a true blessing. It’s uplifting and sweet.
Literally just started watching 3 days ago, heard so much about it being heartfelt and I was like it’s just a tv show people….. As of 10 minutes ago, I just finished! I really want Ted to be a real person that I could get a pep talk from!!! My old grown crying a$$! The show is just ( don’t think I’ve used this word ever) Phenomenal!

In my 60 years on this earth and many TV shows watched, I have never ever watched a show that has affected me more. Many an episode left me in tears. Many an episode was a giant learning lesson, even at 60. I have watched this show twice already and will probably watch many more times. Each character is flawed. Each character is fighting their own demons. Yet each has a redeeming quality. Such a fantastic show! Ok, I admit, I might have a giant crush on Brett Goldstein...just don't let him know.
