@@banananing Now I checked back for the origins story, which is far different from what we heard at Osyter Cookie In that story, the mermaid and the ancestors of Oyster House is met at the beach，when the cookie is lying which presumed is drowning and brought by the waves and he is scared for knowing it was a mermaid who “helps” him，he was saying he loaded his goods onto a merchant ship and a storm rain washed it，and he want to reward the mermaid by giving currency first，later realised that was meaningless Also later because the Oyster House become richer and start making wealth, the cookie who accepted the pearl think the pearl is actually a temptation, keep holding the desires to sold it and make even more money So unless Devsisters want to reform the story and forgot about their previous writing（like that is happening before） or the Cookie that make White Pearl been cursed and the cookie now we know are different cookie，but same in Oyster Cookie， like Lord Oyster is the sailor, but another cookie is really a merchant，maybe he is the descentor of Lord Oyster（that why White Pearl noticed him by remember Lord Oyster） or maybe not if based on the title screen but actually the Black Pearl never hated the Oyster Cookie, she believe if other cookie make him "darker in heart", and think if they can met again she can actually forgive him，if possible and that might be the reason why the Oyster House Ship not only on the top of the piles of shipwreck junks，but also look clean and kept well

Any similarity is purely coincidental We all know the Oyster family is rich in the time of the story now, so I think later in the story Abalone Cookie would request Lord Oyster to be friends with White Pearl Cookie to get her pearl and use it to get wealth. This could make Lord Oyster betray White Pearl Cookie and the pearl will get cursed. The cursed pearl would turn White Pearl Cookie into Black Pearl Cookie.
