- Why do we do what we do? What factors drive us? And how do things like competition with others help us achieve our goals?
These are the questions most interesting to Szu-chi Huang, an associate professor of marketing with a specific interest in motivation. “Competition definitely increases motivation,” says Huang. “It makes attaining the goal more valuable.”
In this episode of Think Fast, Talk Smart, Huang and host Matt Abrahams explore the intersection of human psychology, behavior, and goal attainment-and how communication connects them all.
Matt is an excellent host, he really shows what active listening is.
Both of you are awesome! Your conversation is very balanced and so courteous and respectful between the host and the guest. It’s very refreshing!
the best thing I have heard it is that continue to learn and continue for every aspects in this life to achive what are you want...
If someone would ask me who my favorite communicator is, I would say Matt Abrahams, amazing podcast and thank you for helping me prepare for TOEFL 😃
❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing
Great episode. You can see the motivating part at its best in the last UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid.
I agree with you. Sometimes you fail, but that does not mean you have to give up. This is shown by ManCity in their current UEFA Champions League campaign by defeating the reigning champions Real Madrid, which knocked them out the last time.
Excelent content as always.
Nice 👍 good job thank you
❤
Great explanation
What if u were competing against a group of people by yourself ? Wouldn’t that make u less motivated ?
