My god, every single arrangement you've upload highlights another part of me that I forgot was even there. I started listening to these in order and wow, you've hit the nail on every one, ESPECIALLY this one. This has the same oomph as many of my favorite Dragon Quest orchestral arrangements, but for a Final Fantasy that is close to my heart. I feel like with this one I can move on ahead of something that's been holding me back lately.
Thank you so much! I have always loved this song so much and thought the music has so much potential that wasn't able to be brought out with the original instrumentation. Many have done great arrangements since with better software and live recordings, but I had a great time bringing this to life. Thanks again, and the end of your comment makes me feel especially grateful.
Still got that typing problem I mentioned in other comments, but this is like that other track (Dear to the Heart) where there's such a melancholy to it, but also hope and story and adventure. Also a bit of a driving force, somehow; something that just makes you want to push forward and play more. And this is another really interesting interpretation that I think nails a lot of the feelings in the original song. Times like this I wish I understood music a bit more, but I'm just a bass player, and that's FINE.
Haha I agree. Being a bass player is absolutely FINE! World needs bassists. Thanks for the comment! I generally try to take the feeling of the original and try to give it steroids through the orchestrations I do. Sometimes, I take a different approach to the song altogether, but I'm glad you liked it! Good luck with the finger!
