You know when you flick those switches I wonder if the lights come on in the original owners house.
Made me lol, cheers
😅
This is proof that you could make absolutely anything with 6 strings sound absolutely amazing ❤
Well done for saving this precious axe!🙂👍🎸
I could play that guitar all day painting landscapes in my mind what a find that was the ring on it is fantastic.
That thing is wicked and it’s found a good home 🖤
You’re the first real guitar player I’ve seen in a very long time. There are other guitarists who are widely acclaimed, but I don’t feel what they play. When I watch you, I almost constantly wonder where your hand will next go. Yeah, just you. I am spiritually and intellectually locked in when I see you play. I’m really impressed when you do those gigs on other channels. I’ve no idea how you can select an armful of pedals knowing that they’ll make you sound like a certain indivifdual. Or that you know an armful of pedals will sound like this or that. Ihave never seen anybody do that before. I hate being anything like a “fanboy”. I’m just amazed how well you play emotions.
That's not old., I'm a 63 model..😁👍
The Bin - O - Caster.....😊
Bin-there-done-strat.
Teisco, bless you, love you.
Love Japanese guitars with switches and buttons and dials and chrome pick guards. Sometimes you have to rescue one, working on an Audition that I bought in pieces, found a neckplate, then a bridge, almost ready to assemble… it’s fun. They sound amazing, great playing Dave.
LOVE that Bridge Pickup!
And THIS is your best guitar.
(For) it is Written and is a Gift that was meant to be. A most auspicious development!
Sorry for the unsolicited suggestion, but I would call it "Barry, the Trash-phoenix", or "Grandpa Barry". Thank you for resurrecting this vintage instrument, and big thanks to your friend for rescuing it for you.
the fretboard looks amazing
Sounds amazing! Gives me Ry Cooder vibes. I'm sat in the garden on a summer evening, watching the swifts dart about among the clouds and it feels good to be alive. Your music has that effect on me.
Be strong Dave
This has made my Monday night Dave.
You life energy is so beautiful Dave! It is able to produce such beauty ❤
Thank you man for sharing it with us!
Im only 8 minutes in and Im lovin that guitar, good on you for bringing it back to life.
Switches look like a real to real tape deck my dad had in the 60s , sounds great thanks for sharing this 👍🎩
The half length tele bridge on that thing is so cooooool
Dave, your playing at the end, made my cry. ❤
Guitar is eccentric and a bit of a beast , just like your good self Dave !
The beautiful is how you bring to life that and so many other guitars you had already show us , playing is as always amazing beautiful , beautiful sounding guitar 🎸
Nice find !
Very nice guitar, looks awesome for us vintage nerds, =D Much Love to you Dave,
Its alive Its alive. Sounds great Dave. 👍
I could listen to this all day.
Gnarly guitar 🎸 love the sound ya get from that very rustic and Rock and roll
Great save Dave! That guitar sounds awesome! Reminds me I need to finally get a Bass VI
From across the pond , Cape Cod, Massachusetts USA. Thanks again !
Great work Dave! Tons of vibe🎶🎶🎶
glad to see you again Dave
Pretty good sounding pickups for a baritone 😮.
Very nice as usual Big Dave. Your guitar playing in top notch buddy. Take care 😎✌️🎸💯🙏🇺🇲. I have Boss katana Artist too. Buddy. Love it 😊
I love it!
Great save, Dave!
Manly hugs from Brazil. 🤗
Beautiful guitar. Great save Dave.
It's a bizarre beast for sure, but certainly got a tonne of character and history to it
I bet if that guitar could speak, it would be saying “wow, in over 60 years, I’ve never sounded like this”. 👍
Take care Dave. Listening to you play I couldn't help think how the guitar influences the player. Imagine if Dimebag Darrell was handed this...
Enjoyed this mate. Great rescue guitar. Really liked your 'indian/arabic' melody around the 12min mark.
it sounds awesome and defo deserves a feature on your next album...
You did an amazing job restoring that guitar. I would love 💕 to have a neck like that on one of my Strats.. I can’t believe the tuner knobs are in such great condition. It sounds really good. Have you thought about having someone with a 3D printer 🖨️ making a custom cover for the empty place where the anchor for the old bridge is? They could easily engrave it with a capital T in the Teischo (spelling?) font? I know you like relics but it could jazz it up and if you don’t like it you can take it off. Well done! 👍☮️🎸🎵🥰
You sound pretty excited to me 👍
Love these vids think you need to make it a thing mate Dave's guitar hospital for the abandoned weird and wonderful things .. ❤ all lost and unloved guitars please send to Dave ❤️❤️
Looks and definitely sounds like a movie guitar.
Great salvation job!
Might sound nice with a slide (if the prefered action on this guitar will te you... 😄).
To me it certainly has kind of a tough version of Serge Gainsbourg / Ry Cooder/ Bill Frisell vibe.
It might like flatwounds (like it most certainly came with) for some extra baritone vibe.
Great! Thanks for the video!
🖖
amazing..well done
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!
Greetings forma chile 🇨🇱 South América sr Dave !
Love ya Dave luv the content 🔥
Dave great gravy, thank you. Jeff in LA USA
You make that thing sound gorgeous! Totally feeling the chord progressions here
Such cool sounding guitar!! 👌 i Love to hear you plauy some dark ambient Middle Eastern scales on this guitar Dave
Also I think this my creative brain thinking too hard but it would be cool to have light switches at the bottom of the guitar 1 to turn on LED lights around the whole guitar 2nd light switch to chanhe the lights to a different setting and then have 1 knob to change the brightness of the lights
what a great guitar. thank you for sharing it. it's got a great story and obviously, thanks to your playing here, a great sound. again, thank you.
Jerry Cantrell mentions using a baritone often for tracks in the studio
Low B... cool and different IMHO...
Luv the sounds you're causing it to EMIT
Sounds like it has a Stoner Rock album in it, dying to get out.
Just hearing you play makes me want to get a baritone too. You sounded amazing
Lovely! Great job! 👏🎸
Great vid, guitar sounds excellent, by the way the new single is also great, really liked it, keep up the great vids and playing
Guitars are a musical extension of our souls …. Awesome way of communication ❤️… my wife can confirm this ❤️😊
Another great video dave...hope ya keeping good and feeling better dude
I had an offset with the same pickups but they were red.sparkle..sadly as a kid inhad alota cool.guitars I wish I still had..as a early 90s kid we wanted new or a strat like Billy Joe at the time.. .that and parents not wanting15 guitars around.and playing drums too..I do wish inhad alot of gear I once had and all from yardsale days
The greasiest gravycaster! Onions, garlic and steak!
That looks awesome
Sounds good Dave what a find 🤟🤟
Awesome!
That neck pickup sounds bad ass!
Baritones!!!!!!!
hang in there big yin
Sounds awesome
The metal parts who hold the electronics can probably be polished.
Je joue un peu comme toi . Je me reconnais dans ta facon de jouer ces reglages sont dingues
Howzabout a on the ugly bit cut a cover out of an old black strat backplate....xxx
Interesting electronics...
Amazing sound 👊🏻 .. got ta get one of those 😁 … what are the pick ups made of ?
Teisco guitars are great. Cheap and nasty gear has a charm and character not seen on good gear. Punk as f@@k.👍
Needs a "Binson" or "Binder" decal on the headstock 😆
Never played a baritone...19 frets...a different animal. Sounds fantastic. Is the playing experience like a cross between a guitar and bass? Makes my mind tingle...What would it be like to play a 12 string Baritone...Hhmm...
I can only go off of my Danelectro Longhorn but I think that the closest reference point is that it's like playing an acoustic.
You could set up a 30" scale like a bass vi, but as a baritone I think that the only other way to explain it is that it's what you remember a guitar feeling like when all you've played for several weeks is a 34" bass, so if you've ever swapped between the two and felt like the guitar was suddenly like a children's toy by comparison then the baritone is like what you expected the guitar to be like.
The tone is so different .. yes it’s an ambient sounding guitar …
I take that guitar on an amp journey in your home and see which amp mates well with guitar.
I Select a tube fender combo amp & I bet it’ll shine ✨
8mil pounds ?
Why the lowball price 😂
Don't get electrocuted like Keith Relf, it happens! Maybe get some cool engraving done on the shiny chrome?
Love that guitar, thanks for the update! Is it heavy? Looks heavy...Play Dazed and confused with it pleeeeaaase!
For me these guitars you have to work are very special you bring them back to life they take you on a Journey you pick up the skills to do this on your guitar Journey, wow that red wine was good all the best Mr s
you sure it’s not a master tone knob with an inadequate capacitor?
It’s great to see you uploading videos. That means ur good and healthy…awesome
✌️
Now i know what to do will all my partsis the tone cap out? Doesnt sound like it needs a tone cap.
You remember the trouble you had playing left-handed? This will throw your technique off even worse than that.
W6hat a fantastic video have a wonderful day Dave also I cut my wrist with a knife ❤😢😊 also how is your day going ❤😊😮
need to increase the Feng Shui in your room my bro
Its fine.
Wich amp are you playing? Btw that jumper rocks 🎸 🔥
The katana artist mkii.
😎👍👍
😎✌👍❤🖖
Original bridge fixable? It was a trem if I recall, right?
Melody in the second part of the video is improvisation, right?
All of it is.
@@thedavesimpson what a masterpiece, thank you for inspiring me
So Bin-a-tone made guitars as well as crap radios;-)
What does it weigh cause it looks heavy
It weighs nothing. Very light.
Looks very Russian space age
Hey little brother, hope youre doing at least a bit better
So, what kind of work do you do for your day job?
Brykk - louisville, kentucky
This IS the Dave-job!
Your ambient play reminds me of this one:
