I turn slashing and tripping penalties down a heap as I find poke checks and especially stick lifts just result in penalties. The main thing I want to fix is the AI seems to take control of a puck far too easily, seems to be 2 different rules of physics. They seem to be able to win 90% of board play, they just slightly bump me and magically have the puck or they win a puck possession when I'm in a clear better position. For me they are over powered there but then, the AI is super predictable bringing the puck into the zone, so I'm often taking x3 as many shots.
Thanks for sharing brother. I use these in BAP mode and they feel great on PRO difficulty mainly not because of my skill but mainly because PRO feels the most realistic to me gameplay wise.
Tried these sliders I like the way it plays as you bring up some interesting points for the fatigue and poke checking. I like the fact you have to change lines quickly especially when the play has no stoppage. But the game play speed at 6/6 is way too much for me. And also the hitting power. During the game bodies flying around the ice. I do the dump and case but for some reason the AI just hits my players down so hard happens constantly. Also when the pressure meter goes up when they pass the puck around with game speed at 6 my eyeballs can't even keep up as they are grabbing rebounds, passing the puck back and shooting as the puck is like a ping pong all over the screen I set the game at game speed 3/6, hitting power at 5 and hitting assitance at 25. Might even try game speed 4. So far played a game against columbus and lost 2-1 which was a tight game.
@@jerryf196 When I'm making them I'll tweak things every 3-4 games till they feel good and the stats are realistic. But yeah anytime I notice a trend I'll mix them up if needed. Haven't played a ton recently because of the 82+ games glitch tho
If you start simming a game and jump in to play after the game it'll act like the game didn't exist and you can sim or play the game again, but the stats count. So at the end of the season you can have like 95 games played
I had the aggression at 47, and the bruins laid 85 hits in a 7 minute period game. So i'm super curious to see as to wether or not bumping the aggression up to 75 will mean more hits or more pokechecks
Both teams will normally get into the 40s when I play games, but I also move the puck quickly, play dump and chase and board play a lot. Let me know how it goes
@ idrk how, but their hits dropped to 65. Another thing that could factor into my hits being so high is that I’m using my custom rosters that take advanced analytics and I try to translate them into the ratings system EA has. However, the aggressiveness stay on every player has been drastically lowered as a result. Only the players who are genuinely Aggressive and throw hits 94/7, like Kastelic, have aggression in the 80’s to 90’s. So I gotta think that should mean I get less hits against than you all the time. And I dump and chase too and use board play, but the cpu will always go for the body and finish their checks instead of using their sticks. It’s nuts.
Great video breakdown! I am having a problem with the Fatigue Recovery as my players recovery time is taking a good bit of time even after using the other 3 lines. I know using the speed burst burns the players out but the recovery time is still long for a 5 to 6 minute period. Any advice thanks!!
I've noticed it getting worse since one of the updates, so I'd recommend increasing the recovery by 10 and decreasing the fatigue by 7. Also, check your players endurance stats as well, lots of players will be sub 80 and that kills them when playing games
I bought the game by myself 3 days ago and honestly I am an average player and semi-pro is difficult enough for me but love to play it . Only I saw you put the penalty's on 4/4 but I notice that the AI get seldom fouls and I am often short handed and it doesn't matter what I changed in the settings. And another problem are the face- offs, on rookie I win them all and on semi- pro I lose them all and changing the face off difficulty doesn't help Is this a bug in the game or do you know how to change? Thanks for the video....!!
I would say just keep playing and getting better. I never really take penalties when playing on superstar, gotta watch those pokes and stick lifts. For face offs it's like rock paper scissors. If the opponent lines up one way you have to counter it. Mix it up with tying up and going forehand backhand on the draw. Thanks for watching bro bro!
when starting an NHL game from EA always ensure settings and sliders are set as intended before each and every game you play. check all settings and sliders at the main menu. usually something is incorrect. the aforementioned main menu check may not be required. integrity of the save file, in terms of being as realistic as permitted, drive me to check continuously. next, while in the pre-game menu re-check the settings and sliders. repeat this process before every game. again, one time when the game is loaded, at the main menu, each session. additionally, once before every single game, via the pre-game menu. is it annoying? yes. EDIT: never trust EA.

Thanks man. Game feels real good with these sliders. Appreciate the video.

@@MattWic Do you do constant tweaks?

In my game, there are more than 60 hits per game per team, I don't know what else I can change, do you have any tips?
You missed the bottom half if the passing sliders i assume they are set to 70 like the other effect one?
Puck speed reception effect - 52
Pickup Type effect - 65
Bouncing receptions - 48

These sliders are fantastic! Just don’t cheese the game and it’s a lot of fun

I’m a big realistic person I don’t like these create players b it then I still want to be able to draft a since tomayer in the 4 th round
Also unrelated I wen tot do a Nashville rebuild then I seen the contracts and I was like um hell no they all have nmc
I feel like created players never sim realistically as well
@@killingtime11111116 that's how I feel in my Calgary GM lol Waiting for Huberdeau to get into his last 2 years so I can move on from his ass
Superstar gets interesting!
Ohhh how so?
@ the opponents close in quick and are very aggressive. You also get some wild goals and some crazy saves from the goalies.
@ that sounds sweet I’ll have to bump it up!
Do they come charging after you hitting your player like crazy?
@ they make some hard hits. Makes you anticipate the opponents moves more (offense or defense)
you jus fucked my settings up🤦🏽♂️
:O
Ur sliders suck brother…. My team is still scoring like crazy on be a pro mode…. Such an unrealistic amount of goals lol
Huh never tried them on be a pro.... I'll hop in some games and mess around with em
@ I’m jk they don’t suck haha. But ya be a pro mode it’s insane how much my team is scoring when I’m on the bench. It’s wild lol
