ah Robo cop. I remember watching this movie at my grandmas house growing up when I was way too young to be watching it lol.
I watched it as a kid as well. The game actually isn't that bad. A lot of large content creators have also said positive things about it. You should give the demo a try if you like FPS games because the games graphics are really good and worth checking out even if you don't like it enough to get the full game on release.
So i tried this demo too and even though I don’t hate what they are trying to do the setting is antithetical to what makes a fun engaging game. For instance Robocop is a unstoppable bipedal tank in the movie so mowing down street thugs is insanely easy which would be accurate to the story but really boring for a player. If they buffed enemy damage and made robo more squishy then it becomes something else entirely and against the concept of the movie. Robocops footsteps when he is “sprinting” sounds so goofy and the thought of him skuttering around is just so silly. I imagine they will have ed-209 boss battles or something to switch it up but the gameplay loop is really lacking even though the effects and graphics are good it’s a pass for me.
I agree with pretty much everything you said. I figured that's the reason they made the game feel so easy is because they want you to feel like you are playing an unstoppable machine. The fact that there's like no recoil on the guns except for the Ak/Machine gun was concerning too because the Uzi is so easy to control and kills really fast that it felt pointless for me to use other guns.
Perhaps for boss fights the machine guns and assault rifles will be more useful but than again this was just a small part of the game that we played so maybe it gets harder and better. The one thing that I have no complaints about are the graphics. They did a very good job there.

Yeah, even tho it felt easy it's important to keep in mind that this is really early in the game and the difficulty spike may ramp up the further you make it so I'm really interested to see how the game is when it is fully released.
Tbh looks kinder boring. I love robocop but seems very easy
I do agree that it felt easy. I actually ended up telling my friend that too who got me to try this game. I was hoping Extreme Mode would kill you in maybe a few hits at most and instant death from Explosions (It's "Extreme" mode after all) but it seems all that's really changed was that enemies are far more accurate and do more damage but not enough to earn the extreme mode title. I think enemies take more hits as well unless you head shot them which is an instant death ( I always aim for the head for the most part) Maybe they will patch an insane mode in the future that is unlocked when you beat the game.
