- The new Periphery album is phenomenal and "Wax Wings" might actually be one of my favourite songs they've ever composed. Love at first listen, I knew I wanted to give a cover a shot. Used the instrumental from the stem pack for this one so this one's all me, including harmonies and counterpoint. On my monitor, I colour corrected an animation made by @christianpratt6681 .

Damn you killed it man! This might be my new favorite Periphery song, and possibly Spencer's best vocal performance to date. And I can't say I've had a new favorite since P2 probably. Lots of favorites over the years, but this might have knocked Luck As a Constant down to 2nd favorite. They played Ragnarok when I saw them just over a week ago and he hit that high note (same note as the end of this song) live just fine.
Thanks, man! I think "Stranger Things" will always be my favourite Periphery track. Perfect vibe, killer performance from Spencer. That said, "Wax Wings" is definitely in my "Best of Periphery."
And yes, Spencer is an absolute beast live now! He's really put in the work and it shows. Lucky you, I keep hoping they headline next and come back to Canada.

Yeah they do need to do a headline tour soon! As an opener, they only had time for 5 songs (of course they played Reptile, which I was super excited to see live. I'm betting that won't be on the setlist forever due to the length.)
The one other time I saw them was in 2017 during the P3 cycle but they had taken Stranger Things off the setlist unfortunately. They did play Omega however, as well as Mile Zero, so those definitely did not disappoint.

Huge fan of Mile Zero (I did a cover of it as well). I think this fall is going to be their headline tour for the album and I'm hyped!
