    Watching someone who is skilled and takes pride in their work, doesn't skip corners and produces high end results is enjoyable.

    When I used to service or repair my vintage sewing machines, I had to take photos to remind how to put them back together. I think I would have to do the same if I took apart a table like this, beautiful job with this table.

      It wasn’t to hard on this. But I do sometimes have to mess with some pieces a bit to get them back together but luckily I record most steps so I can look back and watch

    I have to refinish my teak dining room table. Getting up the nerve. Watching your video really helped = I do feel as if a polystain like the Behr product would be a good idea to protect the table from future damage. Thank you for posting!

    Such cool design on the table, with the leaf folding up. Was a bit confused on the after pics, why there was black spots all-over the table top. Took me a minute to realise it was shade from the trees😂. Wouldn't it help to clean with mineral spirits before sanding to get rid of some of the waxes? Well done as always. I'm sure someone will buy this soon. (It looks almost exactly like our dining table, ours have two leafs and is swedish, mid century teak furniture is gorgeous!)

      That’s so awesome. 2 leaves must make it massive. I did have to look close at the pictures and thought those spots were there too. Thank you for watching

    This table! I'd be in so much trouble if I lived in California. I'd want to purchase every single piece from you. Do you only do Marketplace, or do you do flea markets, estate sales, yard sales, thrift stores, or curbsides?

    Thx for this tutorial- I have a teak or rosewood table refinish coming up. I’ve watched tutorials using different oils to refinish with but have always used polyurethane on my tables so was not feeling the tongue oils would protect enough. Also, have not wanted to buy the aerosol toners and lacquer cause of the high VOC chemical exposure even with the respirator I wear. Yeah this is the product I’m going to buy and try; Behr polyurethane and stain in one!!

    • @CedarPineDesigns
      @CedarPineDesigns  11 місяців тому +1

      No problem at all. This product is stage best. I like oils but like you said, I don’t feel it is enough protection for a dining table. Just be sure not to get the blue can that is 1 coat coverage fast drying. It’s to dark in any color you get. Get the green can.

    When you don’t take off wax, oil and silicone first you can grind them down into the wood. If someone uses Pledge that has to come off first to get a finish that will stick for the long haul.
