Вставка
- Опубліковано 24 лис 2023
- In this video, we will photograph landscapes and historic old architecture along the Hiwassee River in the Reliance, Tennessee Historic District. In Reliance we will see the Hiwassee Meeting Hall, a dramatic two-story wooden structure built as both a church and masonic lodge in 1899. We will also see the historic 1890 Higdon Hotel, now sitting abandoned on a shady hillside.

In my head.... "so I'm packing my bags for the misty mountain, where the spirits go..." How they leveled that building using rocks like that is mind boggling. Thanks for taking us along. Have a great weekend!
Nice song reference! Thanks Charlie
What a great area for your type of photography. Document these structures now because they can be gone in an instant. Stay safe !
Thanks George! You sure got that right in fact quite a few that I’ve shot are now gone
Hi, Keith and Teena.
The autumn colors are beautiful there.
Color is not that important for your photography, but it is beautiful to look at. That house on stilts at the water's edge is a beautiful building, my friend. And the way it was used is also very beautiful. How many of those old houses are still there. Too bad nothing is done with it. Nice photos too, friend. I enjoyed watching it again. Greetings from the Netherlands, Antoine.
Thank you Antoine! You’re right about the autumn colors they are still beautiful to witness even for us fans of black and white
Cool video. I like the slowed down pace. Calm commentary. The laid back feel of everything. So... are you a fellow Tennessean? I live in Davidson County. I've been doing some B&W around the area. nice to get out some and see what you can find. Thanks for putting these videos out. Very enjoyable.
Hey thanks for the nice words! Yeah I’m not far from you in Tennessee.
Is it true " folk down there really don't care" . Nice find sir , great teamwork as ever.
Hey Rick! Thanks for watching ! I hope you’re doing well
Another great video, I could easily watch one dedicated to just the hotel, depending on how accessible it is.
I’m curious about the reddish/orange device on your tripod. It appears to be a handle, but I don’t recall ever seeing anything like it.
Thanks for watching! I think the orange device you’re talking about is the L bracket? It’s attached to the camera and makes for speedy change from vertical to horizontal positioning
Ahhh, my guess was that it was for carrying the camera while not on the tripod. Thanks!
It does work pretty well for that too
@@Keithdotson Isn't it a 'Three Legged Thing' - I bought one for my then new camera about 6 years ago and it hasn't ever been taken off... a great accessory to have.
Indeed it is!
