    If you motorcycle, this is one of the MANY roads in east TN / western NC you need to add to your list. That is where we'd go rafting, too !!!! Hang on !!

    Right beside the Whitewater Center is a swimming place called Blue Hole. Its a clear and deep spot in the river when the rest is dry to go swimming. Was a fun spot in the 80s for a teenager like me.

    Looks like a blast. My older son did a white water rafting trip with Boy Scouts. I had to stay back at camp with my younger son. Bummer.

    There are a lot of people that do not know about TVA. Not how it started or what it does today. Up at the #3 power house There is a casting of the entire TVA system.

      I can remember learning about the TVA in history class in the 5th or 6th grade.

      I've been in the New Orleans area my entire life. TVA was covered in US History.
