Great suggestions for work options. I definitely can't go to in-office job. But I'm also struggling to WFH bc I have significant gastro involvement, and eye sensitivity to point staring at a computer screen for long periods doesn't work either. I downsized to a studio, and I sold my car last year, so my living expenses are not too bad. I live alone (kids are grown) with my dog. I have almost everything delivered or use Uber. Sounds expensive, but I'm saving over $2,000/mo with reduced rent and no car. I have zero luxuries these days, but I do have total control over my schedule, which is key, since I am constantly ill. Praying for a formal diagnosis and treatment soon. My decline all precipitated by 2 bouts of COVID, which destroyed my immune system. Have been non-stop sick for 3 yrs now. After being so active and healthy my whole life, it's taken long time to accept. I've become withdrawn, but only bc I don't have the energy to deal with "adulting". Maybe someday!! Thank you. You are so incredibly awesome.
