I looked at the recepie I needed to know if subsututing equal amounts of coconut oil to the butter would work. I made the cookies and yes it did work.
Oh, sorry about that Michele! I'm happy you made them anyway and you liked them. More people used coconut oil as well and left reviews on my blog, in the comments below the recipe. Would love it if you left your feedback there too. Thank you so much! Coconut oil is usually a good substitute for butter in most all recipes. The texture and taste changes a little but works great!
First time found a healthy recipe as delicious as the original one, baked and loved it!! More cookies please

@@Livinghealthywithchocolate
Its made of coriander, cinnamon, anise, cloves, nutmeg and ginger.
I finally find a good gingerbread cookies that I really like,. it's lightly sweeted and moisture and healthy. I would add a little bit more ground ginger as I like it more ginger flavor. This recipe is a keeper. Thanks!!

Nice recipe but super sweet! I guess skipping the honey would be just fine if you don’t want a super sweet taste. I skipped the freezing part and it worked just fine!

Someone tried it with four dates and had good results
Yum! I made them with peacan flower
Thank you! So your cookies turned out good? How was the texture with pecan flour?
Can’t wait to try making them, but maybe when you use white writing for the instructions realise that black writing would be easier to see.
Thanks for the message and hope you make these cookies soon. I am not sure what you mean about 'white writing for the instructions'. The written recipe is posted on my blog at livinghealthywithchocolate.com/soft-chewy-ginger-cookies-gluten-grain-free/
Ghee is 'clarrified butter' that's makes it even more diary..... FYI..
Looks great, looking forward to trying it, just FYI but Ghee is not a dairy-free option. Not even close.
Can’t wait to make these this weekend. Are ginger cookies the same as ginger bread cookies?
Some are soft baked and some are crunchy. These cookies have a soft texture.
Love your recipes so much! I would to see your version of snickerdoodles!
Thank you so much Jennifer 😊
Living Healthy With Chocolate You're welcome.

Awesome thanks 😊
Can i use oatmeal flour instead of almond?
Oat flour should work as well.
This recipe amazingly good thank you for sharing..

What can I use instead of honey
Maple syrup is a good substitute.
I love your accent and recipes.

Living Healthy With Chocolate Not yet . but i was searching for such healthy and yummy videos. and i find it in your channel. I quickly subscribed in order to see your new healthy recipes and surely i will try some . thanks a lot 💖
can you help me it´s possible to replace the honey or avoid the honey and just use water
Can you make healthy roll out sugar cookies? There're no really good healthy sugar cookies recipe out there, and your recipes are always the Best :) i'm glad to your next video, Best regards, Michele
Hi Michele, the dough for these cookies is soft and the cookies after baked are soft and chewy. Sugar cookies are harder so I'm not sure. I think you should give it a try and see how it goes. Maybe omitting the egg would make a less "cakey" cookie. Please let me know how it goes.
what do you think of this recipe >>>
meaningfuleats.com/the-best-almond-flour-sugar-cookies-gluten-free-grain-free/
This recipe adds coconut flour so the cookies would roll out easily and crisp up on the edges.
They roll out like a dream and hold their shape really well during baking. They are crispy and buttery on the outside, and soft on the inside.
This might be the best adaptaion of the above UA-cam recipe for a sugar cookie :)
Adriana, can I substitute coconut sugar with maple or honey?
I have not tried it but I think it will also work fine. Coconut sugar is not as sweet so you may need to add more of it (maybe double or a little less). Please let me know how it goes.
Absolutely. Thanks for the response I appreciate it.
merci
Thanks Joanne!
Ok thanks
Hi Adriana, just made your yummy ginger biscuits which taste marvellous thank you. We had trouble creaming the butter though so would it be possible to put the sugar in the liquid in lieu of the dry mix. Thanks again and God Bless. .Claudia ( in Australia )
Sounds like your butter must have been still too cold. Try waiting for it to soften a little more so it’s easier to mix.
Recipe looks yummy .. FYI ghee is not dairy free .. it is just clarified butter 🙊 do you think this would still work with egg replacer ??
Hi Julia, I should have been more specific about clarified butter. As you know a lot of people with dairy allergies can have ghee and I'll be sure to be more clear next time. I have not tested this recipe with an egg replacer but it should work. Some people made it with "flax eggs" and it worked.
I love all your recipes 🍪💞
Thanks so much 😊. Which one have you made that is your favorite?
Healthy double chocolate chip cookies (nut free/ grain free/ gluten free) 🍪💞 it tastes like small cake 😋
I'll also try paleo chocolate chip cookies 🍪💞 I expect it'll be very delicious 😋🙋🏻♀️
Looks so yummy 😋
I fully support you 👍🥰
Watching from Japan 🇯🇵
Thank you so much 🤗
These look really good!!!! Are there any suggestions for a substitute for the coconut sugar? I am currently on a candida diet and every bit of sugar will make me sick and break out with eczema.
If you're on candida I suggest just omitting the sweetener altogether. The recipe will still turn out ok.
These look delicious. How can I adjust the recipe to use date paste instead of coconut sugar?
Hi Mary, I haven't tried this recipe with date paste. I think it will work but the texture and taste will be different. Since it's sweeter than coconut sugar, I would add only 1/4 to 1/3 cup. Please let me know if you try it and how it goes.
Hey Adriana, I was wondering if we could replace almond flour with oats flour or coconut flour.
Would be great if you replied.
Thanks
Coconut flour will not work, but oat flour works. Oat flour is drier than almond flour, so you'll need to add less. Please let me know how it goes.
This is so true, I just tried using oat flour at the same amount, didn't work. Oat absorbs liquid, therefore you need to add the oat flour little by little until you get the right consistency for your cookie dough, and less amount.
Yum!!
Will the taste be effected by not using butter?
Anytime you make substitutions the taste and texture change. However if you use another fat like coconut oil the recipe will still turn out good.
Can we use regular flour instead of almond flour??
You can use regular flour instead but I'd add a little less since it's drier and more absorbent than almond flour. If you make it please let me know how it goes.
Hi, these look great. I’m allergic to almonds so can it replaced by any other nut flour?
Yes, any other nut flour works well as long as it's finely ground. You can sift your flour to remove the larger chunks.
can you roll the dough out to cut shapes , with this recipe
Yes Corry, here's more information about it on my blog livinghealthywithchocolate.com/soft-chewy-ginger-cookies-gluten-grain-free/#faqs
Thanks a lot
👍
What's wrong with molasses?
Wow look's YUM .
Thanks Bina! Hope you try making it soon :)
Can we use normal all purpose flour instead of almond flour? Plus instead of coconut sugar can we go with brown sugar?
Brown sugar works in place of coconut sugar, but all purpose flour may not work so well. It has different properties and may make the cookies drier and though. You could experiment with it and adding less , maybe 2 cups instead. Please let me know how it goes.
Hi, love watching your video. I'd like to ask, if I substitute raw honey with regular honey (with honey texture), do I still need to add water?
Thanks 🥰
To be honest I think if you use regular honey and still add the water the recipe will turn out good too.
Hi I don’t have unbleached almond flour
Would it make a difference when trying to bake the cookies?
It does make a difference but it may work. Usually you'll get a denser cookie and you may need to adjust the amount added so that your dough is not crumbly.
Can I replace butter with avocado ?
That could be fun to try!
Have anyone tried this with quinoa flour? Because I`m allergic with almond flour...
Have you tried making these ginger cookies with quinoa flour yet? How did it go?
How soft are these? If I wanted a slightly crispier texture, would I have to bake them longer?
These are soft cookies and baking them longer won't change the texture. But you should try them cause they are really good :)
Any way to make these into gingerbread cookies to decorate?
You can shape the cookies but they have a soft texture.
Ghee is not dairy free. It’s made from milk.
That is correct and I didn't say ghee is dairy-free. You can you palm shortening and coconut oil in this recipe also.
Freeze or cool the dough? Love the cookies...
I usually freeze it because it's faster, but you can place the dough to chill in the fridge also.
Hi love your recepi ,, can you make orange cookies 🍪
Please gluten free
Thank ypu
Great Idea Claudia!
does maple syrup changes the taste?
I think a little bit.
Can I use maple syrup instead of honey? If yes do I still add the water too?
I think it will work just fine if you just substitute honey for maple syrup.
Can you substitute the coconut sugar for more honey?
Yes it should work as well.
Do u mean bicarbonate soda or baking powder...in Australia...I put baking powder
Baking soda is bicarbonate soda, not baking powder.
May I use brawn shugar inside the coconut shugar?
Yes, brow sugar is a great substitute for coconut sugar.
You can also use swerve brown sugar as a healthy substitute
I dont understand why coconut sugar or honey are better for you than cane sugar 🤷♀️
Can I use oatmeal flour instead of almond flour? Thanks
Yes you can, but oatmeal flour is drier and more absorbant so you may need to add less. Keep me posted and let me know how it goes after you make it.
Can l do it without the egg ? Or what replacement you recommend?
Omitting or substituting the eggs will change the texture of the cookies, but you can use any other egg replacer as a binder.
Can u please suggest substitute for egg in this recipe?
There are a lot of people who made this recipe with flax "eggs" and said it worked well. You can also try aquafaba.
can we substitute coconut sugar with molasses?
Yes, absolutely
Adriana , Can I use Ground Almonds for this recipe? instead of almond flour? (flour can be a lot more dry in texture) any other flours that would work also? Many thanks! :)
Almond flour is made from ground almonds. Some have the skin on which gives baked goods a drier texture, but blanched almond flour is what I use in all my recipes. You can you grind your almonds yourself to make the flour and I have a tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/s8SGGny8RBs/v-deo.html
Be sure to watch until the end to see how it affects the texture of baked goods in comparison with store-bought almond flour.
This where I get stuck because your so right the flour texture affects the cooking so greatly as I have found to be the case so many times. I have been using Almond meal (ground) for your recipes until I noticed you had Blanched almond flour in your recipes. Btw Almond flour is more expensive then ground almonds where I live. Thanks for the prompt reply :) Love your recipes for sure :)
I have GF flour can i use that instead of the almond flour?
It should also work but depending on the blend of your flour you may need to add less so the moisture content in the recipe is about the same. Please let me know how it goes.
Can u use fresh ginger
Yes! Let me know how it goes.
Hi Adriana do a vegan coconut cake please please 😘
Thanks for the suggestion bushra! It's really hard to give baked goods a good texture without eggs, but I'll try.
You are so sweet ❤️️ , like my healthy baking magic fairy. Thank you for sharing such great recipes. I can't have enough of your videos😍
Thanks for the recipe... can eggs be substituted with flax meal paste ?
The eggs give any baked goods a different texture but you can use an egg substitute to act as a binder.
@@Livinghealthywithchocolate I agree but I am vegetarian ...what that substitute can be...? Xanthum gum...?
If want to replace egg then what should be used
You can use any egg replacer of your choice. Please keep in mind though that the final texture may change.
@@Livinghealthywithchocolate Thank you
Hi, what healthy option can be used instead of almond flour to make it nut free? Grain option is fine. I want to try making these for my little boy who started nursery and nuts are absolute no there. TIA.
Are seeds allowed? If so you can use a seed flour like pumpkin or sunflower seed in place of the almond flour. A gluten-free oat flour may also work, but you'll need to add less of it since its drier and denser than almond flour. Please let me know how it goes after you make it.
Living Healthy With Chocolate Hi again.. can I use wheat flour?
At 1:17 you mentioned adding an egg, but there is no egg in the written ingredients.
Oooops...never mind...I see the egg at the bottom of the ingredients list👍
Thanks Lillian! Hope you enjoy. Please keep me posted.
How can I add pumpkin purée and or oat flour?
I suggest you make my Pumpkin cookies if you want to add pumpkin puree. Here's the recipe: livinghealthywithchocolate.com/desserts/soft-pumpkin-cookies-gluten-free-grain-free-paleo-8691/#wprm-recipe-container-9739 You can use oat flour instead.
Hi, Is it possible to use maple syrup instead of coconut sugar? How can I adjust the recipe?
I think if you add 1/3 cup of maple syrup it would also work. Or you can use maple sugar to get the same texture. amzn.to/3dT5xWa
@@Livinghealthywithchocolate Thanks a lot for your reply, I will keep you informed about the result when I make it, regards
@@MAAmer-dy7pw you can also sub the coconut sugar with swerve brown sugar for a healthier cookie☺️
Peanut butter cookies w/o gluten or refined sugars?
I don't understand your question Peter.
What is a good replacement for almond flour because I'm allergic?
Hi Danielle, to keep this recipe grain-free you can try using a seed flour like pumpkin or sunflower seed.
+Living Healthy With Chocolate Thank you I will be making them for Christmas!
Can I grind my own ginger in a food processor?
Yes! That would make a great ginger cookie! Keep me posted and let me know how it goes after you make them.
Hi can you give me some more beautiful recipes that you have brownie and cookies cheesecake etc. I will be waiting for you thank you
Hi! I have hundreds of more recipes on my blog here livinghealthywithchocolate.com
Thanks
When we substitute butter to coconut oil does measurement change??
Add the same amount of coconut oil as long as it's not melted. If your dough has a different texture then mine you can adjust it by adding more flour or oil.
@@Livinghealthywithchocolate sure thanks a lot
Can l use coconut flour instead of almond flour?
Rajaa coconut flour will not work in this recipe.
