1:03 I'm sorry to say it but Daring has improved pen angles, Des Moines level of improved pen angles and short fuze AP (twice the time length of a minitaur) it's always nice to have it ready, especially against light cruisers and heavy DD (not heavy cruisers and BB of course, you lack pen for that)
It's normal dd fuse for the ap bruh. Check again, it's just that the caliber is so low you don't need much to arm. Edit: the balistics are trash, that's why you think the fuse is shorter, it's just the shells that are slow.

1:20 it has excellent pen angles, 60-67.5 and thanks to the fuse being so short it is my main source of damage vs destroyers until they're nose away for me
1:50 if you hold left mouse button it's theoretically guaranteed to shoot all the guns and switch ammo type. Sometimes it doesn't, i think this happens when your guns aren' t perfectly aiming on the same spot
The single launched torps are great for island hugging crusiers like Des Moines and Petro. Bait out the radar or wait for it to pass once it's active then get in close enough and send out a single launch salvo.
I love the Daring. After the Kleber, sheis my second most loved DD in the game. The smokes, the guns, the heal and the defensive hdyro are just amazing and opens up mulitple posibilities depending on the opposing ship types. Great for competetive games too.The only thing I will complain is the speed. Man, really, from the bottom of my heart, hate the speed. I mean at least let the man do 40-41 knots with speed flag. It feels dreadful to relocate in this thing...
Daring is just one of those ships that are not OP in any area, but overall it's just really really good!😊 Then there are the german DDs who are just kinda okay in all areas, but not very good overall!😅
Been grinding the British dd tree recently, overall really fun experience although playing the acasta was kinda hellish but that hell is gone once u unlock Icarus

Acasta/Icarus/Jervis against their own tier is fine but since you are almost always uptiered these days it's rough. I know Jervis in tier 7 ranked is really strong.
This is why I love tye Kidd more than any other DD. Even Cossack. Kidd has heals, also can have hydro or dfaa which is fun to farm FDR with since it's so good, long smoke times (I build smoke trails for my team), good conceal, and very maneuverable. Guns are ok, and shell arcs are pain, but its still such a fun dd. 1 set of torps with long reload make any kind of torp build not really worth it.
You could try my setup, I put free look on spacebar so I can put Double-Click on my right mouse button. Always gives perfect full salvos if your turrets are synced to start with.
On the world of warships USA youtube channel they have a series called How it works and it’s fairly interesting and I would recommend it if sounds interesting . It basically explains the mechanics of the game
About guns on DDs: a fire on a BB makes more damage than a torpedo hit on most ships. It's much easier to get a fire than a torpedo hit. PR for leaderboard doesn't care about battle impact, only about the raw damage, so farming BBs is da way.
I totally agree but I think the ap is in the most cases for dd fights the best choice. You got improved pen angels. Short fuse time. I have not the feeling that you get many overpens.
Daring and Vampire 2 are my 2 favorite DDs in the game. If I wanna play a bit more safe, I choose the Daring because of the heal. If I really wanna win, I choose Vampire 2 because of the DPM, hydro and crawling smoke. There's nothing that can contest you in the caps other than a Z-52 or another Vampire 2 (or a radar), which is why I have a winrate of 75% in 87 battles. You win caps, you win games, and with that DPM there's hardly a fight you can lose.
I tend to be very careful around Smaland and Ragnar in my Vampire because they can win trades in the long run with their heals and deny the ability to use smoke with radar but when there are none on the enemy team Vampire feels so busted
Not to backseat captain you, but you don't need to double click salvo if you queue up a second ammo type. Should just be a single mouse click fires all available guns and begins the ammo swap on reload.
@@JD-ey8hw that's because you didn't wait for all your guns to be reloaded. A double click fires one turret on the first and all other turrets on the second click. So if you click right when that first turret is reloaded the others aren't ready yet
I run the improved AP damage commander skill on my daring and it shreds for sure. The Marceau is my favorite DD now. Daring is second and smaland is 3rd. Hopefully I can get my hands on the Vamp II and Ragnar before they pull them from the shop.

You're wrong. Daring gets improved pen angles on its AP and short fuse as well. You should absolutely use AP on broadside DDs because it just melts them. You can even use its AP on the belt armor of broadside BBs. Check out Flambass's video on it. He's a God in Daring.
It depends on how you wanna play with her. She is a jack of all trades. For me tho: The Daring is a strong gunboat who spams HE most of the time. (Unless you encounter broadside kekslides) That is why the pyrotechnician would be my first choice. If you are not using the enhanced hydro mod on second slot (or even if you use it and wanna expand the hydro duration even longer) you may take the Consumables Specialist too. But If you wanna make more use of your torps, take the Swift Fish but that'd be my last choice.

I have more than 60% WR with Jutland of about 200 btls, still couldn't make Daring work. In tier 10 with RDR cruisers, everyone having hydro, the capabilities are just not enough for me. The most frustrating is the low speed and the nerfed concealment (6 km). I cannot utilize my smokes when always hydroed or RDR-ed and the healthpool just melts. Mediocre ship for me that cannot have a match-turning impact in most cases. Torps are slow and reload for ages, so kinda fohgettaoutdem. Meh ship...for me at least...
As an Elbing player, what a fucking travesty of a play, a Shima, Daring and Halland and they try and push for cap, I know there is bad players, but if everything out-spots you, and only the Shima can possibly un-dpm you. Like why?
I find it strange that you don't mention smaland - it has better DPM, torps, a radar to deny enemy smoke, better engine power for jukes, and a working anti-air to make CVs life miserable. The only thing lacking is hydro, but let's be honest, it's only useful if you are sitting in a smoke.
Actually the hydro is far more useful out of smoke when you are aggressively pushing a cap that has a torp DD in it. The smokes don’t last long enough for torps dropped at them to be hitting you, assuming you know there could be torps coming and don’t wait in there forever. I very very rarely use the full duration of a smoke to farm unless I know for a fact ther are no DDs near

Daring is great, but the line to get to it is awful. Even Jutland isn’t as great of a boat that everyone says it is for me. I could never get the damn thing to work.
lightning is amazing too. jutland was a bit disappointing after lightning and took a while to get used to. Another problem for me was the Jutland A hull and its terrible guns placements
Oooh, I’d say it does take a while, but everything after Acasta is awesome in its tier, and Lightning and Jutland can easily hold their own even when uptiered. When we had T7 ranked, I just loved playing Jervis in it.. the torps are just barely long enough but it’s guns are great.

Thank you. I’ve built my Daring for heavy AP because of this. Always use it against DDs as long as they aren’t fully angled!

That still leads to my ship only firing one of its guns a lot of the time.

Daring is my favorite tier 10 DD. It’s like Z52 and Gearing had a baby.

Thinking of it as “only a 0.2 second buff” is tricking yourself. It’s a 12% DPM buff which is pretty strong, although better torp reload is viable too
