I am late to the party, but I wanted to say that I thought I had found the most educative nail vlogger, but you have proven that to be unture- and you are that vlogger now!
Hello I have seen many good videos about nails on UA-cam. I mean really many. But the best ones are yours. I learn so much from you. Thank you so much 👍🌼❤
FYI: The metal part that holds the bristles is called the ferrule. I know this as my father was a teaching artist and loved to teach me many technical things in the art world. Thanks for the great videos. Please keep them coming.
Such useful tips. I always felt silly for not being able to do something which seems like it should be simple but know I understand where I went wrong. I'll be trying again tonight.
Hi Liz. Thank you for all of the helpful information. I have warched a few videos and love how you give so many helpful tips. I've noticed you let us know you will list down all of either your favorite products or the products in the video, but I never see the list. Im kinda new to the channel. Can you provide the list for those of us who are learning about these products? Thanking you in advance. I really appreciate your videos. 😊
Great video! 🙂. Wish I could do stripes but my hand shakes a bit and will randomly jerk at times even when anchored. I've been watching your nail Fundamentals series since the beginning and can't believe how much there's still to learn. Luuuuv this series😀
So I have a quick question. I’ve been doing nail art with acrylic paints for years and have recently gotten a few gel paints. I know nail polish and acrylic paints expire but I was wondering if gel polishes/paints expire?
I recently found your channel and have been binging your essentials videos. I was wondering what your opinion is on glass nail files, I assumed it was easier to disinfect in a salon setting and also lasts longer. I totally understand the cleanliness factor from a customer view of seeing a new file being opened but are there any reasons, either from a salon setting as well as at home/DIYer, to not use them? Thank you so much for your videos! You've made me a better client as well as inspired me to learn how to do my own nails and experiment with products, I was terrified of builder gels and making my nails to thick, now that I understand the structure of enchantments and how to prep properly my nails last until I want to backfill them. 😊
This is the exact video I’ve been looking for. You’re great at explaining- thank you!! Would this technique also apply when using regular nail polish ?
I hardly ever work with regular polish so def not an expert but in general with polish you have to work much faster and it’s harder to fix mistakes since it can be wiped off easily. Gel is much more forgiving.
I just did this two days ago couldn’t find my striping brush so I did it with the gel polish brush. Surprisingly looks decent but I did also use the pull technique.
Hate it. :( Sorry but it's true. Never stays down and always peels even when encapsulated. It also takes way too long to apply. I've always focused on perfecting my handpainting as it's much faster, never peels, and I can completely customize to each client.
Its weird that i can do acrylic nail do so perfect but I fail with gel,but most client want gel on their natural nail but it's always a mess eventhough clients don't c,but it's never on my standard.trying to learn more on your channel
The curving of the stripes to give the illusion of it being straight is a concept I've seen in architecture. For example the tall pillars at the Taj Mahal aren't straight by design to ensure that they look straight.
Thank you! I just started drawing on nails and I was trying to recreate a Mickey mouse drawing but it was so unevenly looking it really put me off of drawing. I thought it was me just not being good but your explanation tells me I'm not using the right brush, gel and technique!
This is impossible for those of us whose handshake is there a way to do the technique with striping tape or other types of straight edges instead of free handing it?
Hello again Please please Don't get this wrong, but can you recommend an acrylic artist that is at least as good as you to teach and explain everything so thoroughly as you do? 😊
@@TheNailHub Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. I don't know whether I will concentrate on acrylic or gel. Or both 😉 I will look into Sarah's. I already found the nail career 😉
I did my fake hand nails today. Nothing turned out right-to me. Lines were horrible. Now that I've seen this video I see where my mistake was. Thanks for doing the video!
Need a nail technician school for the state of Washington only has cosmetology mostly would like to take a course not for cosmetology for just nail course only please reply got any good tips l o r i

That is so sweet. Thank you for saying that. :)
Nice, I guess I need to do lots of practice to perfect this
Best tutorial 💗
# 1 TEACHER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Strips are so fun 🎉
Learned quite a bit! Thanks. I'm an artist but trying to start doing my nails. So I'm going from canvas to tiny nails!
Excellent video. I appreciate why you chose gel for this. It’s why i came looking for someone showing it. Thanks!
Such a detailed video thanks!
Thank YOU 😊
I ALWAYS pick up a tips from your vids Liz even and including using an orange stick to "stir" my bottle/pot gells. Brillant!

GORGEOUS PALETTE !!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve been trying to perfect my stripes and now this seriously helps!!!!
Plz teach us more about painting on nails ..tnx..u're great
I love how you call them beetlejuice stripes, because that's totally what I think about when I see them! I'm definitely a product of the 80's haha
Thank you for this video! I was just saying how bad I am at stripes, but now I have something to try and make it better! ❤
Love the way you make mistakes and correct afterwards.
FYI: The metal part that holds the bristles is called the ferrule. I know this as my father was a teaching artist and loved to teach me many technical things in the art world. Thanks for the great videos. Please keep them coming.
This is awesome, you are SUCH a great teacher and communicator!
gonna try this out! Great informative video - thx
Thank you Liz! I look forward to your videos every monday!
Can you use art gel with stamping plates like Maniology plates and stampers?
You are just too Good!! Thank you Liz, a very helpful lesson!!
Awesome stuff. I definitely can learn to draw if all my lessons are like this. I am looking forward to more art videos.
The calligraphy pen analogy makes complete sense to me, maybe that will help me 😘
I always used the long striper brush to just lay it down and pull. Letting the brush do most of the work.
Hi I luv your videos. They are really informative. I just wanted to tell you that the metal part of the brush is called a ferrule.🥰
Is there a coating on the nail over the white nail polish. Or are u drawing stripes right on top of white nail polish??
Thanks Liz, you really are a great teacher
you say ok a lot and I feel like answering lol great video, I always wondered why I struggle when doing lines. Thank you for explaining
Haha. Yeah you dont realize all the funny things you say til you start recording yourself weekly. 🤣
This was very informative, thank you so much! This gave me a new perspective on how I do my lines.

Love the fountain pen idea. I love my fountain pens and this really made a lot of sense to me. Thanks 😁
Super handy tips and tricks :D I prefer pulling away the nail/finger to stripe too, it gives a really flush and steady result :3
So I have a quick question. I’ve been doing nail art with acrylic paints for years and have recently gotten a few gel paints. I know nail polish and acrylic paints expire but I was wondering if gel polishes/paints expire?
I literally wanted to do these to match my beetlejuice costume. I don’t think I’m gonna get it in time but I’m glad others have
Thanks!

Would you teach your strip method on a client? To me it is totally different then a tip. Thank you
Awesome! Thank you!
How do you clean your brushes when applying color or clean up, and with what product ( gel polish/lacquer)?
Hi I have a previous video in my Gel Nail Fundamentals playlist on how to care for brushes. Please check it out.
I just did this two days ago couldn’t find my striping brush so I did it with the gel polish brush. Surprisingly looks decent but I did also use the pull technique.
You are a true inspiration...an excellent teacher!
Will you do a toot showing the Kokoist Nova lamp in action!?
This was an awesome tutorial💗💗💗💗
Yay!! Second! I love your channel. Your style is awesome.
What gel color brand do you use ?
Love your videos!!!! You are so inspiring and ALWAYS learn something 💅
I have shaking hands that can cause problems doing straight lines sometimes this really helps thankyou ❤️😊😊
Amazing!!!
Thanks for sharing 💜💖💜
I was thinking Beetle Juice too!!! 😊
One day maybe I could 😉.
Great tips 🥰💖
New subbie, do you do transfer foil?
Hi! Thanks for subscribing. Yes sometimes.
@Thenailhub what are your thoughts on striping tape?
Hate it. :( Sorry but it's true. Never stays down and always peels even when encapsulated. It also takes way too long to apply. I've always focused on perfecting my handpainting as it's much faster, never peels, and I can completely customize to each client.
@@TheNailHub Thank you for your response and all the incredible videos you share. ♥️ You're very talented and a wonderful instructor!

Thanks....perfect 🌹
Is this gel paint the same as spider gel?
No spider gel is really really stringy and cant really be used for painting.
But thank u for showing me this

Que trabalho maravilhoso gostaria de poder fazer um curso com você.
Obrigada!

I would like to talk to anyone preferably you I have a lot of questions about products
Hello again
Please please Don't get this wrong, but can you recommend an acrylic artist that is at least as good as you to teach and explain everything so thoroughly as you do? 😊
Oh my. There are lots of good acrylic nail techs out there. Maybe try Sarah's Nail Secrets? Or try Nail Career Education?
@@TheNailHub Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. I don't know whether I will concentrate on acrylic or gel. Or both 😉
I will look into Sarah's. I already found the nail career 😉

They called calligraphy pens now
When I first looked at this nail I thought I saw a silver chrome. A trick if the eye. 🤔

Is the gel you use a kind of spidergel since you call it stringy??
No spider gel is waaaaaayyyyy stringier and you can't even really paint with it.
What are your favorite art brushes
I listed them under the video.
My hand shakes so bad when I do my nails. I'm not an artist but I want to do stripes so bad.
I came here for Beetlejuice....and for learning ☺️👍
💅💅💅💅❤️
