People talked about the Bruins' depth going into these playoffs, and pulling off a win without either of your top two centremen is certainly a fulfillment of that (the Panthers had some absences of their own, of course).
I mean to be fair the panthers looked horrible all game, sloppy passing, their offense plan was just throw it in the area of the net and see what happens, there was no purpose behind any of their plays.

This happen when you hire a dinosaur to coach youre team. Maybe just maybe Florida dropped the puck with Maurice hire. They have been so bad this season all season comparing to last few seasons. Nobody seems to know what to do in ice like winnipeg for the Maurice seasons.
What can you say ? An ultra-intense game where the Bruins put on a clinic on how to play defensive hockey ! Near perfect game up until the last 5 minutes. They won it for Bergeron and Krejci !
Considering the importance of the absent players, it's a beautiful and important victory for the Bruins. Honorable mentions: Coyle, Hall (scorer yes but what a passer!), Bertuzzi, DeBrusk, Marchand, Orlov. Consider: Excellent defensive presence from Hathaway and Nosek. In addition, Lauko's surprising entry, quick and does not seem to lack composure. At the end of the game, we were treated to the same problem when the team leads in scoring and faces a numerical superiority: a pathological inability to get the puck out of the defensive zone. Ullmark reveals a gesture of fatigue. His movements and his mitt are slower. Grzelcyk: an invisible return. Bergy's absence from the face-off circles is a major and dangerous handicap. GO BRUINS GO!
grzelcyk was fine, had fairly limited ice time but did his thing with them. Good breakout passes are simply the norm with him. He's composed and has quick ups. Valuable part of the team. 👍

On the other hand, Gryz's skating speed and passing skills make him a top-notch receiver. Difficult decision for the coach. Cordially.

Thank you! I often root for St Louis in the Western conference- hoping for a 2019 rematch. I like the players and coaches that come out of St Louis, even before Monty came along. I remember that Bobby Orr flying goal on mother's Day! That was so exciting, neighborhoods exploded! So many people did not go to school and work the following Monday! 2019 finals- By game 5? My heart was sinking... It wasn't that the bruins couldn't win? It was clear that St Louis was not going to lose! They waited 39 years for that chance? They weren't going to blow it. They were definitely the hungrier team. My colors don't run, yet I had such a sinking feeling 2019, because our coach was failing his players. He wouldn't let them use their instincts and vision. With all due respect, I was thrilled that they sent Bruce Cassidy along. Ya got us in 2019. I think we can both thank Columbus Blue jackets, and John Tortorella for sweeping Tampa Bay first round lol! So we're 1-1 we've got a break the tie. That second Florida goal was terrible. Regardless of whether or not ullmark had the puck, the whistle clearly went. If you can score after the whistle, then why bother to stop playing?

If the ref can decided to override rules whenever, especially when it’s involving a goal, take out the rule of blowing the play dead once they can’t see the puck. Just have em go until the puck goes in. Now the standard has been set for this series. Any puck that goes in after the whistle has to count.
The PP wasn't great for the Bruins. Ullmark was solid, Orlov, Hall, Lindholm and Nosek looked very well. Coyle putting a lot of effort, Boston's playing well without Bergeron and Krejci.

Ulmark seems very shaky. Pretty near every goal Florida scored so far has been up high. Maybe found a weakness?

That second Panther goal shouldn’t have counted. The whistle blew before the puck went in. But then again it’s NHL officiating.
Used to be true, not anymore. The ref can mistakenly blow the whistle, and now they can correct their mistake, which actually makes sense.
