Wow , the mind will override the body to get over a line 🎉
I think it more of the body fighting the mind to stop.
@@reven3899 Indeed
its more like muscle memory, their mind clearly blank at that time
Muscle memory is a complete different thing, go seach It on Google
As an young track and field athlete, while running marathon , your body is the only hope , your mind just really want to give up, that feeling is terrible with tones of effort which you see in the video
It’s a wild feeling. One minute you’re good, then before you know it your legs don’t work, field of vision narrows and you can’t hear anything. My face felt like it was on fire mid blackout… Can’t wait for my next marathon 😂 (fueling properly this time)
Sounds heavy! Both the weather conditions and nutrition can make a big difference ofcourse.
@@GETONTHERUN no fuel no ride, same as with a car, I tried to do it few times, ot doesn't work, even the jog became impossible at some point after 20 miles
@@swamigal yeah, I was following my friends advice who said have a gel every hour. So I only had about 20 g of carbs per hour. Now I take in about 60 and can handle 80 without discomfort. I’m also drinking a lot more water. Hoping it all pays off next race
@@alexm1841 if it is a race, im using a gel every 5 miles (watered ones)
@@swamigalwhat's a gel?
At 57 years old ive run 15 marathons and 3 ultras
Toughest event ive ever done was 56 km with 1700m of elevation gain
The last 10km i felt i had nothing left
All will power

I walked up a flight of stairs to get to my office today. This is exactly how I felt.
😢 wow
brother are you caseoh in the flesh you must weight over 400 lbs to feel like that
Lol😂
There's something absolutely magical about running and leaving every ounce of strength you have on the course. Last year I ran my first marathon and got 12 seconds under my goal of 4 hours, I felt like a superhero.
Same here on my second attempt (first time I was actually faster but cramps destroyed me). I finished on 3:59:16 five days ago and the pride is still here. Well done mate!
Congrats, God bless!
Congratulations to you both! I'm running my first Marathon in 2 days and aiming to finish in 4 hours
My last marathon I finished around my goal time of 6 1/2 hours and I was getting passed by ten year old boys and chubby teenage girls at the finish.
@@sdickinson5234simple plantéate un objetivo de menos horas. Si te ganaron chicos pequeños y personas obesas es que no estas planteándote un objetivo para nada desafiante. Saludos
Ran my first 5K Saturday 😅(This is how I felt)
Keep going!
5 KM? Or 5,000?
@@planerunner4020 5Km (3.1miles)
Don’t judge Kipchoge 😒
Good job man. I used to hate running now I run everyday. I wish I had found it sooner. I did my first 6k last month

Teary eyes seeing this. The amount of sheer will these people have.

Story of the last woman's marathon😯
Same here 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
I just wanna say…
” WHOS GONNA CARRY THE BOATS“
THE BOATS
THEY DONT KNOW ME SON
The water 💦
AND THE LOOGSS
Best comment...I'm carrying the boats brother!
This is an example of how powerful the mind is. But the body will always be a hindrance to it
No doubt about it : MIND OVER MATTER.
Well your mind alone cannot run a marathon, can it? Respect the body, fuel properly.
This is what it takes to be the best at anything.. everything you have
No. This is what it takes to be third in a regional race.
The best in the world never fuck up that badly.
@@agnidas5816your weak
look how nice the people helped out the third racer as soon as he crosses they put him on they're shoulders
It's she
Only because you didnt see my first finish😅
Haha that probably was a nice struggle
Omg were u in the video?
hahaha best comment
My outmost respect for these Spartans👏👏👏
My mother ran a marathon after I was born, then after my little sister was born, under a year after each birth. Still amazes me to this day.
Never give up that's wat marathon is for
Back in the day when they knew nothing about nutrition and sodium intake. Brutal times.
yes, literally with the possibility of dying
Brutal times way back in 2014 and 2018
happened to johnny brownlee a few years back he was an olympic medallist
@@pauleric8799Yeah I remember that, he’s brother was running 2nd and helped him across the line
If you can't fly then Run,
If you can't Run then walk,
If you can't walk then crowl but by all means you keep moving. I remeber that wisdom from Martin Lother Kane
Thanks, I use that mantra in my ultras, but didn't knew where it came from!
When u see finishing line..your brain cant take it anymore
at least they crossed the finish line. ....they ran their race❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This shit brings tears in my eyes
Hard work + Dedication + strength luv it❤😊
The human spirit is our greatest most wonderful gift off the Almighty! To see it in this awe inspiring form of total dedication and never give up or in, mentality; to an idea, a truth, a discipline, trained and practiced for years, hours on end, to be actioned in competition testing its limits, is heart warming and truly aspiring!
Love to these wonderful exceptional beings of our human race. To God be the glory!
Absolutely! All glory be to the Lord Jesus Christ ☦️🇬🇪
Amen!
Yeah
Tears of joy seeing human's indomitable spirit in action
This made me tear up!!. Absolute beast these people!. Both their mind and body are a f’ing steel. Even if the body knows it’s limitations, the mind keeps it going.. I’m ugly crying over here.. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 it’s human spirit!.
This makes me absolutely not want to run a marathon lol
Nice. I made the decision as soon as I saw them running morr than 5 km
Nah nowadays if you dont over exert yourself and have the correct hydration and sodium intake throughout you will not look like these people who literally put absolutely ever ounce of effort and then some more into running
It is not what it seems, how about u can do full marathon, running 5k is above average ppl, 10k damn, half marathon is extraordinary, full marathon u can join world marathon, ofc there is a risk if u dont carefull, i mean in everything, job, finding a partner, etc.
its not that bad, its like ggoing to sleep😂
The psychological effects of being close to the finish line.
my toxic traits thinking i could just finish the race running
I must be getting emotional as time passes because the way the people banged the fence for that lady made me tear up
Great music choice!
Human Spirit. Praise God!
Amen
Respect, jusqu au bout, un défi physique et surtout un MORAL. FELICITATIONS aux finisher.
Endurance is way of life.
Don't forget to Dorando Pietri from Italy .... remember the Olimpic games in London 1908 ??? 😮😮😮😢😢😢🤔🤔🤔🤨🤨🤨🙄🙄🙄🧐🧐🧐
Meanwhile Sarah Barthel slaying demons!
The wall in their mind broke and the body realized it needed to stop
세상에 육체적인 고통만큼 독보적인 것이 없다.
그것은 누군가가 대신할 수 없고 이해 할 수도 없는 것이다.
If only they had alpha fly next percents, in the 80s at the least
Super oameni!
You can program your mind that you ARE unbreakable and will not stop EVER . Run for your life 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
Thats crazy dude. Props to those who can do this. Phenominal.
wow this man & woman determination is incredibly amazing no doubt
a true fight in our weak flesh
like God Said the soul is willing but the flesh is weak
El máximo esfuerzo de estos atletas representa a cualquier persona emprendedora del planeta que día a día se sacrifican por cumplir objetivos nobles por supuesto. Saludos a todos esos victoriosos y victoriosas 🏅Bendiciones 🙏
awe inspiring
Would love to know a Doctor's take on what's happening.
The song...fits almost
Black out days..
Me after going up 2 sets of stairs.
Real fighter 🙏🙏🙏
Brought me to tears what a great inspiration............gives me strength to go through what I'm facing.
That cramp she got close to the finish at the LA 84 Olympics....was scary. 😮
David gogins 1st marathon 💀
All of them so inspiring.
Like myself at Friday finishing my labor week 😂😂😂
😂
The Swiss lady said in a documentary she ran at more than 30 degrees and missed the last drinking option.
We want to and see the prize, but our bodies say no. So near yet so far away.
As much as people have been laughing at Gabriella, she still ran a hot marathon in sub 3 hrs, like way under, in shit shoes from 1984.
Ofc butt end of the field, but its still an AMAZING feat that she finished.
That is not "winning", that is surviving. The finish line is made up, we all have our own finish lines. At the end of our lives awaits the "finished" line. Enjoy your day
😮❤ great
Its the result of their Passion, hardwork.
❤ from bangladesh.
Except for the first marathon runner. And the other brutal ending.
love you all dear ones
Great 🎉🎉 what a powerful people❤
Goosebumps!!!
Same, had painful full body goosebumps.
Side wow before even reading some of the comments!!! Just wow!! So much power, will, dedication, and determination!!! Mind blowing!!!
I've run the marathon 10 times. Never looked like that. But I sure as heck felt like I was almost to that point before.
And you have people who run 3 days in a row without sleeping.
Who? And how fast and source. Don't believe anything you see on the internet.
@@firstlast-ep5ruDean Karnanzas ran 350 miles in 80 hours straight without sleep
reminder that the greek soldier who ran from battle of Marathons to Athens died after reaching the city and telling the news to the citizens about the victory against the persian landing so these peoples who do run same distances in heat and dehydration are risking their lives as much as that athenian soldier that the sport was made after his exploit
Body falls apart right at the finish line 🤨they putting extra on it to get that oh what a warrior badge
Legend ❤
If the mind is willing the flesh could go on and on without many things...
Great
Should have Jen Challenors comrades finish up there
I just watched it. Pretty brutal finish as well, although here legs were spaghetti, she kept smiling haha.
Load of respect to these athletes.🔥
Some people think is a easy thing to do marathon is not easy at all
Walked to the shop yesterday i know how they feel
Love 💕 and kindness
what about the people that crap their shorts while they're running? That's pretty brutal!
No help for 2 and 3 😢
It all in the mind 👊👊💯
Gotta crawl before you ball!!! ♡☆
*Felt like a baby today on a 10k run because my back and knee was not letting me go fast without pain 🫡 this makes me wanna stretch and run again!!*
Take it easy! A day off can help you go further than an injury 😉
@@GETONTHERUN haha I have work to do, can only manage the injury as I keep moving forward
La 2ème force se réveille pour gagner coûte que coûte c'est la vie ou la mort. C'est la VIE qui GAGNE .
If these athletes felt like this I cannot comprehend how Eliud Kipchoge makes a world record and it feels like nothing to him
THE KENYA POWER IN US DON'T LIE💪👣👣
LA MENTE DOMINA AL CUERPO, ME ACUERDO CUANDO SENTÍA QUE MI CUERPO YA NO DABA PARA MÁS Y ME TOCO CARGAR A MI COMPAÑERO QUE SUFRIÓ UN DESMAYO, NO SE DE DONDE SALIÓ FUERZAS O QUISA EN ESE MOMENTO SE ESFUMÓ EN MI ESOS PENSAMIENTOS DE CANSANCIO PERO CORRÍ CON MI PROMOCIÓN ARRIBA CASI UN KILÓMETRO EN PLENO DESIERTO 😅. ANÉCDOTAS QUE QUEDAN.
Marathon runners are something alse bro
Amazing runners! I so proud of them! ❤
Running 5k to marathon distances competitively myself, I can say that, especially when adrenaline is spiking, your mind just goes blank and you’re on autopilot. You stop hearing and seeing your surroundings, you feel the fatigue but your mind is not processing it, all your mind knows is to keep moving.
Running never gets easier, you just get faster, there’s good days and then there’s the really bad ones and when you learned to endure the suffering in training, your mind will somehow just override a total shutdown of your body during a race. There’s races where I had a really bad day myself and I don’t remember portions of it, it’s all just a blur. Come to think of it, it’s actually a little scary how powerful the mind can be because, yes, this is absolutely not healthy.
Full Marathon , 2 hours 10 minutes, Vow, Congrats , They did it .

some times your DESTINATION is much more worth than your LIFE..
BECAUSE all your LIFE will be depends upon that DESTINATION only..
Never up give 👊
video ends with: let's get on the run
me: let's not
U will never see football players tried like that.
Respect to all the runners
Onurlu insanların son nefeslerine kadar verdikleri olağanüstü mücadele insanız ve ağlıyoruz kim ve hangi millette mensup oldukları önemli değil
Que fuerza ! El ser humano es increíble cuando quiere
Ran 2km and had a 5 min between after I was done and I'm a slow runner, I thought is this how it feels like to give birth cuz God damn I couldn't even walk from the sever pain 😂😂
i just asked chatgpt what it feels like to be one of these athletes and man, i can totally appreciate how scary it would be - thx chatgpt
Im just guessing after all that running when the mind knows it going to rest soon throws off the finish.
