I'm a new subscriber and fan and just have to thank you for all the great recipes. I've been binge watching your videos for the last 3 days and love them all! I was raised in SE Texas (Beaumont), so your Louisiana/Southern drawl sounds like home to me. This cabbage casserole sounds wonderful, but I'm wondering if you have ever tried freezing the leftovers. I'm 68, living alone and love to cook big batches of food and freeze the extra for later. I'm just not sure how the cabbage will hold up after freezing and thawing. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your recipes with us and for giving me some new and creative ideas.

I make cabbage roll casserole instead of cabbage rolls. I am definitely going to try your way, Amy. I don't use the can of tomatoes like you, I season a big can of tomato sauce and layer my casserole. I can't wait to try your recipe! It will be soon too because I have had stuffed cabbage casserole on my mind now for a couple weeks. 😅
omg I just made my unstuffed cabbage roll casserole 2 days ago.. I cut my cabbage all up and cook it on the stove once thats nice n tender i shred that all up and put into a 13x9 pan greased with non stick cooking spray.. then i add in 2 lbs browned ground beef then i add in 1 cup of uncooked white minute rice with 1 28-oz can tomato sauce i stir that all together and i season it with garlic and onion powder and a hint of ground black pepper i then top the casserole with 1 14oz can of beef broth and 1 14 oz can of chicken broth do not stir it then i cover with tin foil and bake at 350 for 45 min to 1 hour and its delicious and filling too sometimes ill add cheese on top for a little bit of something extra like mozzarella, provolone or monterey jack etc... I have always loved these flavors together. I also love the flavor that cream of mushroom soup adds to a dish so I would add it. Sometimes when I make a brown gravy I add cream of mushroom soup. My late husband loved it that way. Thanks for the recipe Amy!
Now I know what I'm making tomorrow. Thanks for this one. A friend gave me a quick recipe almost like this. A skillet meal...ground beef and the fried cabbage, then add a can of rotel. Heat and eat. Very low carb but sometimes I add a can of diced potatoes. Rice would be wonderful too. Love your channel. 😊

Baked cabbage receipe. Take 2 small or medium cabbage, chopped up, 1 onion chopped to baking pan.pour 1/4 oil, stir , cook 1 hour , when done add 1 stick of real butter. Add sausage optional.

Amy I loved stuffed cabbage and I am going to try the casserole, but I can't have cheese can I omit the cheese and still taste goof
I do think it would, taste just down without the cheese. Cabbage rolls don't usually have cheese anyway.
