One of the worst things about the natural hair community is people being more pressed and obsessed about YOUR hair than you are. They really be giving Sha'baldy. I'm happy you are doing what pleases you. People need to hang up clinging on to someone else's journey so hard.
Right
Sha baldy is crazyyyy🤣🤣 you from the dmv????
@@olivajay5365 apparently Baltimore is not a part of the DMV lol. I thought so my whole life 🥴.
Reign , I will say you it’s because of you I became a wash n go queen. I washed, deep conditioned and styled it in awash n go every Sunday.for 6 months. It grew 6 inches and my hair is hella healthy.
Your curls itself are STRONG AF; never seen anyone with so much color have such great texture integrity.
Your hair itself though, lots of breakage and thinning, but I'm sure you'll know when it's time to stop and start taking it easy. You're already choosing to grow the color out so good for you!
my hair would have fallen on out
@@Candicedickinsonllc Hair colour especially bleach is high maintenance on anything but a twa/buzz cut. I have bleached highlights and I have to moisturize twice daily, deep condition weekly and keep my hair wrapped 5 out of 7 days. I also use Olaplex and Aphoghee. I have some breakage but that's due to my health conditions and genetics not due to the colour. I also won't be bleaching or re-dye-ing my hair for 12 months.
You’re hair look so bomb. I also love that fact that you are putting the negative comments in their place. I’m so glad you’re sharing your experience and journey with you. The color looks bomb and can’t wait to see what the rest of your journey. Love you Jae 😌🥳💙
So glad to see updates! Im blonde right now. I dyed my natural hair for the first time at 32 years old. Im 34 now so im still having fun with color for now since this is such a new journey for me. But i do get the urge to go back to my natural hair color every now and then or maybe even try pink.
I love seeing a fellow curly girl playing with color. Thank you for the content and representation
I got bleach blond highlights. My hair isn't strong enough to go full blond except on a two/buzzcut due to health conditions and genetics. i did have breakage but I'm not bald so i'm happy. i just needed a change. i also had a frohawk. I had so much fun with it in summer and it cut my wash hour to 30 minutes. lol! No I will protective style for autumn and winter.
Yay!! So cute and love how creative and free you’re being with your hair!!!! ♥️ we often put so much pressure on ourselves when it comes to natural hair, but ultimately, hair is hair!!!! I love it!!
Thank you! I’ve done it all with my hair and I’ve enjoyed the journey! I think some people are getting their personal hair goals confused with my hair goals. I’m in my experimental phase. Trying all the colors I never could before!
I just love the way you take care of your hair, regardless to the way you change the color…❤
So happy to see you! Thanks as always for being transparent and sharing parts of your life and hair journey with us! ❤ I too have been growing out my color.. but I know that the MINUTE it's all out, and at the length I want, I'm going back to my blonde!! 😂 AND YOUR HAIR IS GORGEOUS, PER USUAL! 🥰
We can do what we want with our hair! Period! Luv the color Reign. I'm ginger as well, mines a lil lighter though.
Yay, I love when you upload. Also your stylist seems very professional and knowledgeable!
Yes! He always does a great job! Get ready for more uploads!
I knew you were going for the ginger. When you first got Ur hair colored and had it blown out, it was Fire! Then you did the 1st wash n go, and it was Fire! And the color suits your personality. And here's Your round of applause 👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 ReignGang 💙
Girl love binge watching your channel love your content and currently transitioning from pics back to natural
Im 6 months pregnant with a almost two year old toddler and haven’t done my hair in about 2 months….so I think this is a sign to get myself together ASAP! 🤣🤣🧡🧡
I definitely can relate to that 🤣❤️! Hang in there momma 🙏🏿!
@@ShadesofSage I’m trying sis! 🤣 you know wash day is a whole journey. My husband will watch our toddler but then I gotta muster up the strength to do wash day !
@@paulinecobb8997 I put in locs during my last pregnancy cause I just COULD NOT 😭!
Awwww! 🥰 Girl being a mommy is an important job so it doesn’t even matter! 😂🧡 I hope your hair comes out good when you do it!!
❤❤❤❤❤
Auh, OK Yh I see ya girl those semi permanent don't do any damage. You just have to add that Moisture in and your good to go. Your going to grow your natural color our does that mean we are going to see ya all black in the future 😍.
Yes! My natural color is dark brown!
Seems like coloring your has really thinned it out.
I talked about this in my hair update
Ms. April it's definitely thinned out, and there are several places where it's broken off. So I was confused by the "NO DAMAGE" in the title...because that's definitely a form of damage! The COLOR is gorgeous, and as long as she's okay with the thinning it's Fine, but its obviously visibly damaged though. 🤷🏽♀️
@@nikkinicole2079 I didn’t have to damage my hair to go this color. It’s a demi permanent color. That’s what I was referring to.
Coloring your hair will make it thin some but also makes your curl patterns a little looser. So that makes it looks even thinner. Her hair still looks healthy and she has more than enough thickness for it. If you didn't follow her, you wouldn't even be able to tell cuz she has a head full of hair still
@@piscestheDonthis isn't healthy, this is start repairing before it gets worse!
The ginger looks phenomenal! I was thinking pink for some reason but this looks better!
Yasssss girl!!!! This is GORGEOUS! 😍🧡 Perfect for fall and it compliments your skin tone perfectly !
I always enjoy your hair updates. The colors that you choose are very nice, and you look great with them. Love the ginger!💜 I wonder if I'm the only person who truly dislikes having someone else shampoo my hair. It is very uncomfortable for me, and as a result, I do not go to a salon.
This is a great color on you! And the benefit of growing your hair out is that when you do bleach it again you’ll be starting on a fresh healthy base to have a lot of fun with.
I was expecting red but a deep royal blue would’ve been cool too.
I thought you was going back red applause your wash and go on point eveytime period!!!
The results are bombb. I really loved when you did the blue/black color. I love the og red too 😃.
I thought you were going back to dark red. I love this color on you.
Maybe one day! I think I just really value the color switch up! Thank you 🧡🧡
I kind of thought Ginger simply because it’s such a fall color! You look amazing in both red and ginger!
We really out here styling and drying our hair at the salon 🤔 I’ve been hearing it but never thought I’d see it.
I thought u were going back red 😅 but ginger is an addictive color so i get it, i honestly dont vibe with the dark roots but thats only my opinions as long as u like it ✌️❤.
😂I have to mention the condition that the head massage had you in. Girl, you were relaxed to the max. It was funny to see because I know that feeling.
Good for you sticking to growing out your roots, it’s always good to challenge yourself to a goal
Awww your hair looks great!!! and I love @Dereqc ! I went to him for the first time in March of this year. I only dye my hair twice per year so heading back in about 30 days or sooner
Right, if you know you know. From start to finish no explanations needed ❤
I'm weak at her doing her own hair at the salon 😂
I would like to see you with jet black hair.
The color is FIRE 🔥 😍😍😍😍😍😍 love your wash and go too.
I love that you don't do your roots for 6 months or more. I think a lot of people go wrong with too many dye applications in a short space of time like 3 months.
Wait how come you're styling your own hair? They dont style it for you?
I went to a stylist who specializes in color. His only job was to wash and color my hair and then I took it from there! He’s also straightened my hair before, but I wanted wash n’ go this time around!
That's cool that they let you sit in the salon and style your own hair afterwards
i loveeee the ginger on you!!!
I have missed your updates💕💕💕
Ginger is cute for the fall
Gorgeous 🖤 hair
Color beautiful. Hair is définitely damage but it is just hair. It will grow back. Ur damage hair is lot of people normal hair...
looks so beautiful😍😍😍
You have Unicorn Hair. 😂 you have amazing hair I’d be bald with hair color.
Not gonna lie i saw the thumbnail and i just knew you was goin rose gold with a shadow root. But ginger is def you sib
Good to see you I thought maybe blonde and then I said no you’re going to be red but I like that color❤
Love ❤️ your hair 🔥
Why were you defining and finishing your hair instead of the stylist?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ love it as always
I like the color nice wash n go❣️
Hi, do you still stand by wash n go's being your main source of length retention? I'm at waist length (when stretched) and my goal is to reach below my butt, but I want enjoy and wear my hair out to not be limited to protective styles anymore.
Heyyy! Yes I do! I’m currently growing out my color using wash n’ go’s. I’ve done this before so I already know this method works well for me!
@@NaturalReignThank you very much❤
I feel you on the shampoo 😂. I’m a fan too. Paid $100 for someone else to wash my hair. 😂
I love his ig ❤️
Love the hair color
Thank you!! 🤗🤗
Happy Monday 🙂
Hey!! Happy Monday 🫶🏽
Red ❤
Hair shorter than before
Red & black two different textures , thickness & hair follicle strength
I know you said your hair gets bigger overtime but I think you’re in denial sis 🤧 still beautiful tho!
I’ve covered this in my hair updates. I’m not in denial I’m just transitioning to my natural hair color. That’s why I didn’t dye my roots. Just having some fun.
@@NaturalReign love this for you! I’m with you on the going back to healthy journey 🙌🏾 let’s do it!
Y’all too pressed about the state of someone else hair…
Using an avocado hair mask helps me.
i thought this color every time
12:16 moon day I thought you were going to do red
I did do red for like a month then it faded to pink and I decided it was time to bring the ginger back!
Does dying your hair give it looser curls?
yeah it can but it varies with everyone.
Instead of putting bleach back on your hair color back on your how about putting some Hannah on there it's the same color and it can help your hair
I haven’t bleached my hair in over a year and I’m growing out my natural hair color.
I wouldn’t recommend henna for someone who colors as much and experiments with as many colors as she does. Henna and cassia are great, but she won’t be able to bleach it later on. A Zizyphus + aloe treatment wouldn’t be bad though.
🥰❤🔥
I thought you would go red
Its been a while.
Ive dyed my hair with semi permant burgundy hair dye. But im growning out my hair from the dye.
My hair is naturally dark brown as well.
You be doing way too much with your hair ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A NATURAL....too be honest it's shorter than what it was a year ago...baaaabieee chill out leave your hair alone....unfortunately it's too late.
The beauty of hair is that it grows back. The beauty of it being my hair is that I can do whatever I like. If you aren’t here for the journey you don’t have to watch or leave negative comments. I’ve been very transparent in my hair update videos and I will continue being transparent as I do whatever I want to do with my hair. I choose to show you guys the journey so y’all understand when my hair is back to its best health, what I did and how I did it. It’s a natural hair JOURNEY. Perfection isn’t what I’m after.
@@NaturalReignit is definitely a journey. There will be understandable setbacks, unfortunately, you're having one now. My cousin has very long, thick, and curly hair that she dyes blonde all the time. Even though she takes very good care of it, we can now see that the dye and heat have taken a toll, and it's time for a chop. It comes down to what the individual wants to do, either a good cut or just embrace the damage. Each person gets to choose what they do with their own hair, so yea, no need to be negative. Also, we mustn't take constructive criticism as negativity at times.
I have long curly 4a hair like Jaylin has too and over the years I’ve been dying it blonde. Last year I had a set back and got color damage. I chopped a lot of it off and had a couple of negative comments from people telling me to leave the bleach alone. But I decided that I’d rather have fun then have my hair 100% healthy and if I had to sacrifice some length every now and then, so be it. A year later my hair is even longer then it used to be and those same people who told me to leave the bleach alone are asking me how I got my hair so long and healthy even tho it’s blonde. I feel like with color comes risk and you might have a set back or two but hair grows back. I’m not attached to length so if I have to cut a couple extra inches off every now and then, I don’t care. It will grow back. I don’t know why people are so pressed or concerned about other people’s hair anyways. I’m pretty sure they already know there hair has changed and don’t need it to be pointed out. It’s still beautiful at the end of the day. Let people have there fun. If u don’t like it don’t watch 😂🤷♂️
@@zacharydrake156 well said! 🥳
After watching the video and reading the comments, I do agree that there’s a change in her hair, but it doesn’t mean it’s unhealthy. By her hair being colored, it’s no longer natural due to the chemical process and that’s ultimately what you’re looking at. It’s the same as If someone relaxes their hair, it doesn’t mean it’s damaged. Regardless, the video is intended to be educational and inspirational. I recently colored my natural hair a similar color, and while I immediately noticed the change in my texture, such as the dryness, I didn’t regret my decision. Sometimes we want a change and to express ourselves differently. When you’ve had long hair all your life, especially in the Black community, you become defined by it. Your family becomes more attached to it than you, and eventually you may feel the urge to rebel against it and express who YOU are and not what others want you to be.
That said, I hope you understand that YOU and WE are not our hair. It’s just apart of our expression. And one beautiful thing about cutting or coloring your hair is that you can visibly see the growth, not just external growth, but a reminder of your decision to do what you wanted to do and what’s best for you!
