I got interested in this show because the premise was interesting and I have met Jewel Staite in 2017 at the Vancouver Fan Expo, and she was very friendly. She looks great on this show as well.
I feel bad for Daniel. Abby might be a destructive influence who's probably gotten away with more than she should have, but unlike their father she sees Daniel's worth as a lawyer. She asked to make him her co-counsel on the paternity case and she trusted him enough to be able to handle the rest of the case on his own, as opposed to Harry who didn't even give his son a chance to talk.
@@wkadalie at the end she went to therapy, she went to AAmeetings, she got help and she even moved back into her house and then he did this so it isn't her fault for that
@@Popstar_7 I'm not saying he's blameless. Hell he cheated again. I could understand him leaving her, when her drinking got out of hand. Him cheating is something else. And now the kids will blame her for that too.
@@wkadalie If I was Abigail in this situation I would divorce him and try to get full custody because even though she is an alcoholic she is making an effort and working on this situation. Frank didn't allow her in her own house that she bought for like 3 months and she didn't complain while he was flirting with another lady. In this case Abigail is the victim because she improved on her problem and he didn't even try to fix his in-fact the day HIS wife was taking HIS kid to a sleepover he was screwing the mistress whilst making himself look like the victim.
@@Popstar_7 I'm on her side in this, but in custody situations. I think her alcoholism is bigger than his cheating. Remember we only saw Abigail while she's sober. We never got to really see how bad her alcoholism was. And that could put the kids in danger.
*WHEN is Season 2 going to be shown?* Apparently, you can already watch it in Belgium with Flemish subtitles -- but In VANCOUVER, where it was shot, nobody knows when it will ever be on. Their advertising is so poor that I'll probably miss the first half of the season before I hear anything about it starting up again! (They're filming *Season 3* already, but where is Season 2?)
@@onaliyvi : Thanks for your message. So far, the CW has only shown the first three episodes of Season One -- all of which were already shown in Canada last year. Would they really be ornery enough to make us wait until Season One is finished on the SW before we can see Season Two? I hope not. I keep checking the listings, because they tend to advertise things so poorly that I've often missed the first part of the season before I often know something is ON. Very frustrating!

I like it mostly, I don't like that the sister is cheating. On her lovely wife. And then confesses to only kissing another women but continues the affair. Her wife better leave her.
While this is a good show has anyone noticed the CGI ads plastered on buildings for Knorr products?I have never seen such blatant ad placement in a tv show before. It's kind of annoying.
As much as I love victor garber there is only 1 show that will ever be considered family law and that was back in the 1990's that lasted 3 seasons that Is the only family law I will watch!

@@jaimedance3 : Well, aside from the fact that this is a Canadian series filmed in Vancouver, about Canadian laws and places (including shots and references to specific features of Vancouver), THIS series is a more clever reference to the name. The old U.S series with Kathleen Quinlan and Chris McDonald was mostly about the PRACTICE of "family law", although a lot of their scripts were about other things. The Canadian series is about members of a FAMILY that don't get along, who have to work together in the same law firm, with all their interesting interactions and conflicts. I'd be interested in checking this show out but they already showed me just in this trailer that's it's not believable. Courts don't allow people in with cell phones.
Some courts in Canada (it is a Canadian series) allow people to bring cell phones in as long as it is on silent or vibrate. Video recordings are not generally allowed but I believe the judge addressed that in the clip though not sternly as some real life judges would.
They didn't in this case but those kids went on an excursion here and were video taping it eve though the judge already told them to put away their devices
I worked in Vancouver courts for a very long time, and there's a lot of little details that they get wrong. (I've never even ONCE seen a Canadian judge use a gavel -- that's an American thing.) But hey, it's fiction, with stories I enjoy -- and beautiful scenery.
After watching this week's episode. I won't watch this show again. I have better ways to spend my time than watching a show that promotes degeneracy and attacks Christians. This show is woke trash.
