Great video great music. I believe the offroad gearbox would have been the better choice here though, too much swampy slicky mud for high range imho. Also there is another way from the garage to the north western area. I drive through the swamp (just as you do) but then don't go through the forest on the hilltop but circle around the hill and drive along the incline. You gotta go slow cause you're not straight but a truck like the tayga should not have trouble. Keep it up, I also love these longer vids. Makes it easier to track progress. ❤
For sure, I know the route you're talking about along the tree line. I go that way a lot too but the incline gets me sometimes. Videos will be longer again, especially now that we'll be starting Kola Peninsula. Kinda hard to get much done there in a short episode.

Well we picked up some good trucks in Taymyr so shouldn't have any problems with both maps in Kola. The Grad is a great truck BTW, especially with the 17.0T engine from Amur. It has tons of power.
I did the lost containers task with the WWS, crane and sideboard bed. Old habits die hard but it's a solid truck for stability. Made it fairly non-eventful. Fleetstar is a bit too tippy and I find the Russian cranes inferior so I avoid them when I can.
The White Western Star is a good choice, very stable and capable. American mini crane is definitely superior in strength. Good pick! 💪🙂

Gosh that back route from the garage to the drill site was sketchy... then again I crosses the river and cut up mirroring the tree line till I drove down the valley and was home free, cutting through trees like that.. eesh
I'm on my hard mode save and playing through this region. I realized there are a lot more shortcuts than I expected as well as taking routes I wouldn't expect. So far, I think the most annoying task I have had was delivering medium logs to the shipwreck. Besides that, I am legitimately surprised how fluent this playthrough is ik maybe 10 to 15 hours in this region, and I should be done probably in my next session after I collect the spare parts I'm going to rift.
Kinda sad to see my free fuel. I stockpiled from michigan, and alaska is all but 6 it's only a matter of time, and 3k doesn't hurt too much when I have 110k
Yeah it's a bit sketchy, I go the way you're talking about too but I sometimes get tipsy on that side hill. Either way whatever your comfortable with is the best route right? Sounds like you're having a good hard mode playthrough. Keep it up! ✌️🙂
