I think alot of people have the impression this song is original to Chris Stapleton. Britt certainly seems to be unaware that it was already a classic decades earlier. Talking about it is an important part of the discussion.
Even though I've loved this song over the years, I didn't know some of the history you & others mentioned. I have truly love LeAnn since she was a child. Blue will always be my personal favorite. Thanks for making reactions fun.

Lee Anne does do a lot of justice to this song. She has such an amazing voice. That being said, I still like Chris stapeltons version better. I believe this song needs a male voice. This is just one regular guys humble opinion. This version is amazing though.
During the pandemic she wrote the song "Spaceship". It is her most emotional song yet- having it out with God.

“Spaceship”…..can’t describe my feelings as I watched and listened to LeAnn in that video. Just pure, raw emotions coming from her. So many people don’t realize that she is still making wonderful music and playing concerts.
Didn't know her at all until she was on Masked Singer. She stole me then! Britt, you have a beautiful voice. I was a singer. This lady is on a level very few names, and voices reside. Truly God given gifts! After Mask, I saw her perform Billy Joel and Elvis, and others. She got me hook, line and sinker. Too great and strangely underappreciated.

I'm an old chap and gave up on music long ago. Loved Whitney, Prince, and a few, but I'm an Elvis back to Sinatra and Jazz, swing. Big band and classical. Been a Leann Rimes fan for a long time, ever since her cover of Unchained Melody tore the house down way back in the day when she was still a young teenager. This cover OF Tennessee Whiskey is INSANE!! I would agree, at a minimum, there is argument for being better than the original. There is another artist I would love to hear cover this song and that is Joss Stone. A Leann Rimes must listen is her acapella version of Amazing Grace inside the echoing walls of a church. It is perfectly SUBLIME! Your cover is on par with the performance, TY.

I've loved her since Star Search. Old show that was kinda like America's Got Talent, etc. Then, her single Blue released a few years later, and I was done. She had me. I agree with you. First time I've heard her sing this one, and I'm blown away.

I believe the guitarist is Greg Hagan, I saw a video where he was touring with her and she introduced him. He looks like the same guy.
The hole in the main body of the guitar actually produces the sound you hear. The larger the hold the deeper the sound of the guitar. Offsetting the hole from the strings also changes the sound and finally changing the shape of the hole again will change the sound of the guitar. I can't tell you how these things change the sound, other than I was told a bigger hole creates a deeper tone.

Absolutely heart wrenching especially since it’s about her former husband. One of her most beautiful songs is “How Much A Heart Can Hold” which she wrote the morning of her wedding to Eddie Cibrian. The video is in B&W which, to me, adds to the beauty of the words.

In any case, LeAnn is definitely on my top 10 list of female singers. I don't think she gets the accolades she deserves, at least not since her initial success.
You should listen to 'Spaceship' she wrote during the pandemic and watch the video. It was shot by Eddie using an iPhone while they were on a road-trip. It is raw and so emotional. I cry every time I hear it. I'd love to see you react to that video because I know you will be blown away!

Did you ever react to her song "Blue" ? This was her first song. She was only seventeen when she recorded it. It was actually Patsy Cline's song but unfortunately she passed before she recorded it.

I don't know how true it is they said she ruptured a vocal cord back to 2022 she had to cancel all the concerts and tour dates and I didn't know if she would ever be able to sing again
She did have that happen to her but she’s back singing! This past December she was in concert here up in Vegas. Wish I could have gone☹️. She also played to a sold out concert in London at the O2 Arena earlier this year.
