Great review! The Walker's Razor is a fantastic muff. I've been using it at the range for the last two months, and I've been very impressed with them. I used Caldwell muffs for about four years, but there is no comparison to the Razor. The fact that I can bump up sounds that I want to hear while keeping gunfire sound to a minimum, is the best of both worlds. The Caldwell simply muffles sound, which is okay. If you want to hear fellow shooters and not the boom, then the Razor is the way to go.
Thanks for the review! ... I was on the fence on either Howard Leight or the Walkers Razor series ....I just ordered the Walkers. I'll let you know how they work out, next time I'm on the range! Peace.
Just got a set and tried them out on the indoor range. Very good, but no better than normal muffs plus plugs. Upside is you can communicate with the RO which you can't do otherwise
Question, I'm new to these headsets (always been a foam earplug guy) but I wanted to switch to an electronic headset. Should I have the sound all the way off when firing? or what's the deal with that? You are right that these Walker slims are REALLY sensitive, I bought mine today and had them on, and it was insane how much sound they amplified. I just didn't know if that would make the gunshot louder, or if it still mitigated the report even with sound up high.. Thanks in advance!
The headphones are earplugs with a mic on them, so you’re not actually hearing the outside directly, when the mic head something loud it blocks it out. So use it with the volume on, it’s really cool, you can hear people speak normally but it blocks out the shots
Do you know if they work like normal headset for music if you are not using the batteries ? because I wan to use those for the shooting range but also in the subway, without having to change batteries every 24hours of use
So what happens when the volume is all the way up on the microphones and you shoot your guns? Does it actually quite down the gun fire while increasing your hearing with smaller sounds simultaneously? Do you need to turn it down before you shoot so that you don't hurt your ears?
Brandon Park So it blocks out higher decibel noises. For example it will block out your gun shot, but low level noises such as talking will not be cancelled out. The microphone are there so people don’t need to yell to get your attention. They work fairly nice
I bought some peltor tactical 100 and liked them. I bought my brother the walker razor slim and what a difference in performance and comfort! I returned the peltor and now have the walkers.
Finally, finally. Someone who will actually do a video who has a person wearing them rather than seeing them in someone's hands. Great video!
Great review!

Is there a trick to removing the felt to install the battery, is there a video that shows how to do it. I don't want to rip it
Great review Beau! Thank you for sharing. I dig the tie.

anyone know how it holds up in an indoor setting? I'd apperciate any feedback!
just putting it out there, but I was your first subscriber. also, why less videos?
great review, i will buy one
Is the normal hearing amplification in true stereo?
great ear protection!!
Ok odd question but when at the range do you turn the volume up or leave that part turned off?
Susan Renna leave it on, that’s the way to enjoy the benefits of the Razor.
