Heck of a discovery. Man you had me going when you kept climbing the ladder. Thanks from the USA for sharing and also keeping the location concealed. Some finds are best keep with those who best appreciate the preservation of history.
Good on you for not giving away the location and hopefully preserving the place from the f/qwit minority whom really would trash the place. Respect is earned and you guys have earned it. Thanks heaps.
Without a doubt. This is one of the best exploration videos on all of you tube. You are true explorers. Leave no trace. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints. We have nothing here to compare but if you're ever in Texas I can show you some massive caves. Keep up the great work.
Great to see so much original fixtures & fittings still intact. Pleased you are keeping it a secret so hopefully it remains intact & not the target for some mindless individual that has to smash everything in sight!. Slowly working through all your great videos. Thanks for all your efforts to bring these sights to us.
Absolutely fantastic, gentlemen! And well done for keeping the location a secret! I'd like to see some people who lived through WW2 go down and visit bunkers like this! Awesome!
This was amazing. I subbed this because you guys respect all the old pieces of history and also don't want these places to get trashed by people. I really think thats great. Thanks!
We never grafitti or leave stuff behind when visiting these places. We have taken sacks in with us in the past if we think we are going to generate any crap such as drinks cans or crisp packets. Best take the rubbish with you and leave it as you found it 👍
Been watching a lot of your videos today, and enjoyed this one especially.. following your progress through the tunnels on a labelled plan of the site. Amazed at the condition inside. Long may it stay like this.
Well done on keeping it secret it’s nice to know that there are folk who care about our heritage. It’s wonderful that you guys can let everyone in to see what these places are like . Well done gents another fascinating video.
At 2:10 there is proof of someone called JAZZ, who has been here in september 2010 as well. And there are more occasions. So don't be sure it hasn't been filmed before. The mopeds look like 50's or 60's models, so it might have been used during the cold war too. The lavatories-signage looks like it is made of plastic, quite unusual during wartime. It is amazing though that there is a lot of things still intact. Thanks for your effort, you've got one more subscriber.
Correct, and you can't be sure it hasn't been filmed before. It may never have been shown in public, like here on UA-cam. No offense though, let's just keep things correct. And keep it up!
The signage in there is all enamel on metal, like the old advertising signs so they do last extremely well, especially in areas that have seen little human activity since the war...
I salute you for your respect for where you are filming . Where I'm from it would be trashed beyond recognition. It should be preserved for future generations to see what people had to do to survive.
A great video, thanks for sharing your experiences but an especially healthy thank you for keeping the location hidden. So nice to see history like this that has not been destroyed by vandals!
Great video guys. This is one of those places that is an important piece of our historical heritage and should be restored and opened to the public. As people with first hand knowledge of the war and how it affected everyday people disappear future generations will have no understanding of what it is like to live through a major war and things like this can educate far better than history books. Social history is far more interesting and compelling than the "major" events of the past to me. I can only image how claustrophobic and frightening it would have been to be down there with hundreds of others.
Consider bringing a GPS unit with you to map out these tunnels. You may be able to locate where that 100 foot ladder dead ended and find it from the outside. Make sure you get one that maps the Z coordinator (elevation) for more accuracy. Great video. More impressive that a lot of things I've seen on the Discovery or NatGeo channels. Very impressive. Keep up the good work.
What an excellent find and video! It's amazing that it's still in such great shape! Can you imagine the huge undertaking it was to *build* that place?! (And others like it)?? Just wow.
You guys had an absolute Exploregasim with this one I can tell by your excitement and gasps at the beginning... Enjoyed the video felt like I was there! Keep up the good work
How did you guys keep from getting turned around in that maze and becoming lost FOREVER? Can you imagine what those poor, innocent civilians went through while the bombs were falling above them and not knowing what lay ahead for them, if they had a home to go to or even a city that would remain for them to return to? They were truly strong human beings to stay down in those tunnels and continue to suffer the hardships that went along with them!
Research prior to finding this place yielded a map of the layout which served as a good mental map whilst going round. Also, its laid out in a nice grid pattern so looks more complicated than it is. Very big though. Yes the conditions where very tough. We found an old statement from a woman who used the shelter once with her mother. The mother spent one night and said that she would rather die in her bed at home than deal with the cramped conditions. She and her family never used the shelter again. They survived at home I’m happy to report 👍
just found this channel amazing place lads and full respect on keeping the place secret there wounld not be much left of iy had you mentioned the location , should be opened as a museum
I am a new sub but some of these places you visit are really good this one is exceptional and I respect your decision not to name it just glad you showed it to us so we can enjoy it even if it is through you... Keep it up Thanx
Unfortunately, others have been since and have been less careful about what they post. The place has been getting loads of visitors lately and i hear rumours of signs being stolen 🙁
Fascinating! So cool. So good of you to show as much as you can while still protecting it from vandals. The electrical panel was very interesting. Amazing that so little electrical infrastructure was adequate for that many people. But, no one had to charge their phones back then. That place is so huge. I don't know how you guys can find your way out once you get in so deep.
I must admit I would have been temped to take the Bicycle an restore it. It could be given to a local musem as paret of their history display noting the time of history it was related to. Might help the younger generation understnad what their nation went thru and what was how people survived the War.
Great video. Your respect for where you are and research before entering makes this a very serious and credible site. Bravo! Thats the difference between documentary archiving (which this is) and people lampooning around for subscription boosts I rarely subscribe....but just did. "Exploring Abandoned Mines and Unusual Places" is another credible site
Nice one guys, thanks for sharing the Vid. I know where this is... it's one of two of the same design. Been some local efforts to maybe get it opened as a museum, but as you probably noticed, its location presents a problem to making it public as such, so thanks for giving the world this look inside.
I am not sure how I stumbled onto your site, but I am happy I did! You guys are great and I admire you keeping this historic site off the grid. I live in Atlanta so there is nothing like this here - at least that I can think of! Thanks!
Greetings to you in Atlanta! It's a catch 22, if you guys had to build stuff like this then it would have meant that you where being bombed to hell and back. Fortunatly this didn't happen to you guys but on the plus side it gives us some great historic locations over here 👍
awesome. I would love to explore places like that but never knew where to look! I once tried to get into the Victoria tunnels under Newcastle but couldn't find a way in! didn't have the right tools with me. best I've found is old pill boxes around where I grew up in Hampshire.
How excited you get from finding a rusty old ladder 🤣 really cool find, I cant believe all the toilets and sinks are still intact. Loved the old bike, posting on a Monday too 👍
But rusty ladders are dangerous and fun!!!! Yeah you just dont find places like this with loads of original stuff like the toilets and sinks (and random bikes 😀). Have no fear, usual Friday vids are still going up 😝🤘
This in my hometown of Portsmouth, there was originally 5 entrances to this bunker before it was sealed up. I first explored this place as a child in 1999 the metal work is for ladders to build other emergency exits but never was built.
Its so unusual how dry it looks and the corrugated steel looks as if was just put up thanks guys for going out and sharing and your ok if you need to spend a penny or two with all the loo's .
Yeah this place is very well preserved. There is a mild amount of moisture but it not terrible. Far better than most places 👍 I may have got some criticism for actually using the loo's 😂
Lucky buggers, all that history to explore.. I'm envious of you . . I live in Canada ,so we can only go back a couple hundred years or so . YAWN Keep exploring , but stay safe.
Whats more amazing is that the toilet in these times, with water and stuff. Most of the old houses to this day do not have such luxury, not even water. People must buy the water or carry from somewhere
Great video! I was interested to which shelter it is and found it after a couple of minutes of searching on Google. Some high quality photos of the posters that aren't blurred out.
Anyone hear the ghost at the 5 minute mark?
😂 No, i farted 😂😂😂
Sub Exploration 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Thanks man 👍

never found/never filmed two separate things.
The first bike is a German-built NSU "Quickly" moped from around 1960. And yes I do need to get out more...
Names of me and my family are seen on the walls from 2011. We have a bunch of photos of us there. Great explore
Loved seeing this, thank you and real pleased you've kept the location to yourselves.
Fantastic, an amazing find in a great state of preservation. Well done for keeping its location a secret.

this is so cute when you say "OHH MYY GOOOD!" you are so hyped xD amazing

Thank you 👍
ive never seen so much enthusiasm for a tp holder in my life.
4:48 Good reason to go up the ladder one at a time and also not stand underneath, particularly to be avoided with mouth a gape.
Thank you so much for a) showing us and b) keeping it safe this historic is so very very important in the future it has to be kept safe
No problem, always a pleasure. With this place, i hope that it gets sealed up sooin to protect it 👍
That place is amazing! Good on you guys for keeping its location a secret. That ladder climb looked sketchy af!
How did you guys keep from getting turned around in that maze and becoming lost FOREVER? Fantastic find, well done for keeping the location secret, would be a shame to lose the history here.
Thank you for a fascinating video & for showing so much respect for a historic remains.
Thank you.
just found this channel amazing place lads and full respect on keeping the place secret there wounld not be much left of iy had you mentioned the location , should be opened as a museum

Great video and much respect for keeping details of where this is private... to keep it safe
I am a new sub but some of these places you visit are really good this one is exceptional and I respect your decision not to name it just glad you showed it to us so we can enjoy it even if it is through you... Keep it up Thanx
Thank you for keeping the location a secret so as to preserve the destruction of such a wonderful find.
Its important that vandals don't get into these places. Have been to many where this has happened and its a real shame what they do to places.
Don't blame you for keeping it secret. I'd hate to think of it being trashed. Very very cool piece of history! Glad you guys documented it.
Unfortunately, others have been since and have been less careful about what they post. The place has been getting loads of visitors lately and i hear rumours of signs being stolen 🙁
That is really sad.
This was awesome, good work lads. Subbed, and looking forward to your next adventure! :)
Plenty more to come! 👍
Loved your enthusiasm, and your respect for the place.
Why thank you sir!!! 😀
Absolutely amazing! Good job keeping it undisclosed too :-o
We try 👍

Lights and ventilation. That's about all you needed power wise in those days down in the A.R.P tunnels 👌
Awesome find! Very cool urbex!
Thanks :-D
Wow boys you cracked it,I've never seen such a pristine set of tunnels, well done you !
👍
Great find very massive seemed to go on forever. Interesting to say the least. Thanks for the journey, loved it.
This one certainly one of the largest places of its kind that we have found. Thanks for watching 👍
Would love a look around that place. Looks massive and amazing to explore. Nice vid lads!!!
Thanks 👍
Excellent! Mad respect for not taking anything!
I must admit I would have been temped to take the Bicycle an restore it. It could be given to a local musem as paret of their history display noting the time of

Ian Sutton sorry mate, had to remove that comment 😉 👍 but yeah 😂
Sub Exploration totally understand mate. Couldn't figure out how to message you privately. My comment is still showing on my feed. I'll delete it.
Ian Sutton don’t worry, I am overlord of the channel so it’s gone 😉 yeah you can send IM’s on UA-cam but it’s a pain, I had to google how to do it 😂
Great explore guys

This in my hometown of Portsmouth, there was originally 5 entrances to this bunker before it was sealed up. I first explored this place as a child in 1999 the metal work is for ladders to build other emergency exits but never was built.
Yeah looks like its up the hill or should I say under lol u should see some of underground stuff at the Dock yard there absolutely amazing
Good video guy's, thoroughly enjoyed your explore of this location.
What an awesome place mate, best yet. Well done for keeping the location a secret, they look so much better without the graffiti everywhere
Totally jaw dropping for us. We made extra effort on this one to protect the name/location. Im glad to see its paying off 👍

Hey Geraldine. you may enjoy my channel ua-cam.com/video/eZCqI_-qt6c/v-deo.html regards Ben
Sub Exploration * i respect the secrecy in not revealing these places but at the same time, it blicks other true urbexers from exploring them as well
NICE ONE!!! top explore
Thanks man 🤘
we havent had a world war like you blokes have. interesting time capsule.
Fair play for keeping the lid on the location of this place. It’s nice to see historic places that aren’t covered in graffiti and smashed to bits.
So often we find places that have been trashed. This is probably the best we have ever found.
wow, very cool !
100% 😀👍
Pretty cool find guys!
👍
Good one...Thumbs up and It woul'd be nice if this was restored and showed to people...
Interesting find. Cool explore guys! ✌
this was amazing. thanks lads
Any time 🤘
What an amazing find thank you.
Wow this is amazing! Just earned another sub!
Thanks for joining us!
Looks like a nice place! I think I'm going to live there for awhile.
Good plan, quite warm inside 👍
Lucky buggers, all that history to explore.. I'm envious of you . . I live in Canada ,so we can only go back a couple hundred years or so . YAWN Keep exploring , but stay safe.
Funny thing is that Canadian troops played a big part in many of the places (WW2) that we visit in the area 👍
Yes, my father flew out of there , still have his log book.
You have thousands of years of native culture, and bigfoot to search for!
As soon as he started climbing each level my heart was getting faster. I'd need some serious light and survival packs food ropes thermal blankets
You guys got some balls going in these places. Makes for great watching though. Really interesting. Stay safe
Great stuff!
Thanks 😀👍
Whats more amazing is that the toilet in these times, with water and stuff.
Most of the old houses to this day do not have such luxury, not even water.
People must buy the water or carry from somewhere
Wow... I've never seen such preserved ww2 shelter, great, great video.
Thank you 👍
Love the video
🤘

Great vid and presentation. Will look forward to seeing more videos
Thanks :-) We tried to put a little more of the history into this one but kept getting distracted by the sights.
Good keeping the location secret. Just found your channel. Such an interesting video
Yup, this one is one of the best.
Thanks you for not giving away the location. Indeed it is a wonderful discovery.
Wow nice tunnel
Wow, watching this i was almost as excited as you guys. Just found this channel, second video after scary fox. Keep going. Respect. Peace
Thanks man 👍
Great video! I was interested to which shelter it is and found it after a couple of minutes of searching on Google. Some high quality photos of the posters that aren't blurred out.
The history on the place is amazing to read. We also took some high quality photos whilst there that can be found here...

Incredible find. How deep down is it? Its soo huge. I wouldve got lost for sure. Good job at keeping the location a secret. Well done!
It is beneath roughly 60-80ft of chalk 👍
That is such a cool place to explore
Damn straight it is 😁👍
