Hi Ben, glad to see your channel. I have been running a 12B1 and truggy for a couple of months now, mostly just bashing, and finally managed to get to a track. Now I try to make it once a week, and would be interested in racing at some point. Have been looking at the 10B5, looks pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing your experiences! Also, what tires are you running? I have not been able to find any 1/10 foam buggy tires anywhere.
That's great! LC cars rock. So far I've run Gone Bananas foams with standard 1/10 4wd buggy front and rear rims for carpet racing. However, these tend to be custom order. I have some proline prism 1/10 4wd buggy tires to try out.

I’ve always wanted to get into racing but there is nothing near by so I started bashing and its good fun! That looks really fun though!!
Bashing definitely is a lot of fun! I started out bashing, but if you ever get a chance to go mess around or even race on a track, I highly recommend it! It's a different kind of fun!
I'm highly debating getting this LC10B5 or the smaller LC12B1. How do you think these stack up against TLRs, or Teknos, or Team Associated buggys??
I've personally raced this car against Associateds, Teknos, TLRs, and Xrays in on particular race and I beat all but the Xray(only didn't beat the Xray because I got taken out). From my experience, it is very well engineered, and right there with all the high dollar name brand ones.
Hey Ben, any chance you've seen folks at your track/club run the PTG-2 rally car ? I heard that car shares very similar parts and I'm just wondering if the PTG-2 is really just a LC10B5 with a narrower chassis to make it run like a touring car ? And what do the model numbers mean? (PTG or B5). Thanks.

LC Racing needs to make a spur gear cover for the 10B5. Cool little racer, I wish there was more running videos of it out there. I've seen it offered with either a slipper clutch or differential gears, which version is better for just general home/backyard use?
For general running, I'd recommend the slipper clutch. It doesn't have as much tuning ability as the center diff, but tends to be easier to deal with in general.
@@slowben8887 How does the center diff give you more tuning ability, can you swap in different gears or is it by using different weight fluid?
@@i4nic256 It is tuned through diff fluid which gives it better overall tuning. On a slipper, you have a narrow range of how loose or tight you can go and the front and rear tires are locked together. With a center diff, you have infinite options of different fluids to adjust how quickly the diff spins and the front and rear tires can move independent of each other.
@@slowben8887 Good to know. I need to test this option out on my Losi DB Pro. I never bothered trying because I wasn’t sure which weight to use in which diff. Do you know any good videos or sites that explain how to use diff fluids setups. I’m interested in giving it a try. Do most of the people that track race prefer the slipper clutch?
@@i4nic256 I don't know any in specific, but there are a lot of sites on Google that explain diff fluids. As far as use of center diff at the track, it really depends on the surface your running on and more importantly, how the car is handling.

I hope you are fine. I have a question 😁. I'm just finished to bult my car. Do you know if it's possible to set the drop. I don't see screws for that and I don't find video on UA-cam too.

Yes it is. However, it is not as easy as just turning screws. On most 1/10 buggies, including the LC10B5, you adjust droop by changing the distance between the bottom of the shock body and the lower eyelet. If you search Ryan Harris on UA-cam, he has some nice videos I believe.

battery??? no mention of c rating or amount cells mentioned...other than that car looks good and well thought out...i think wltoys has a clone of this one coming out soon..thanks for sharing
I use a Gens ace 7.4V 4600mAh Shorty LiPo 60C pack. I heard about the wltoys clone, but I think that is based of the rtr version of this car that is coming out.
@@slowben8887 yes...most will just replace the rtr electrics anyway... probably many parts will fit just like with the 1/14 scale...

Yeah, it is a good buy. The value is there as it is cheaper than most others and the quality is top notch as well.

Can it be used the normal hardcas lipo?
It needs a "shorty" style pack. I use a gens ace 4600mah shorty pack from Amazon
@@slowben8887 very sad because of the spurs layout. Me have a lot of standard pack lipo from my arrma thypon. But planning to search for 1/10 buggy and i dont want to spend alot more on lipo. That my dilemma sir.
@@hazrinibrahim2887 I understand that. LC Racing is coming out with a different "rtr" 1/10 buggy based on the LC10B5 soon that would allow you to use the standard packs. However, if you want a race kit like the LC10B5, you would need a new battery because that is what the vast majority if buggies use. Hope this helps and keep an eye out for LC's new car!
