I did start cleaning things off my desk while I was listening. It was so beautiful. I think hearing something live would be great. It’s always a pleasure being with you and listening to your take on all the different music you make available to everyone. You’ve introduced me to music I thought I would never listen to! Catch you again tomorrow. 🎶 Cyd

Nice! "Spiegelglas" is my favourite song on this album! Qntal is a band, originally consisting of Sigrid Hausen aka Syrah on vocals, Michael Popp and Ernst Horn. The latter left the band after the second album and eventually founded the band Helium Vola, which also explains why Qntal's albums from "III" onwards sound less electronic or at least lack the harsh electronic parts you hear in several songs on the first two albums. It was obviously Ernst Horn who was responsible for them, which you notice when you listen to the albums of Helium Vola. Ernst Horn was replaced by Fil who left the band after "Translucida" (their 6th album). The CD-booklet of their 7th album shows Mariko as a third member. The CD-booklets of their last two albums only show the two remaining founding members Sigrid Hausen/Syrah and Michael Popp as band members, though several other musicians are listed as guests. There is a lot of live footage of Qntal to be found on youtube. If I was to recommend one live clip, it would be this one of their possibly most popular song, "Palästinalied", whose studio version stems from their second album: ua-cam.com/video/DYvB-iYLWuE/v-deo.html But I prefer the studio versions of Qntal's songs. By the way, you still got the pronunciation of the name Qntal wrong. It's ""Kanntall", not "Kinntall". (For English speakers, I would write it as "cun-tull".) I have already explained it in my comments to your first two Qntal-reactions, but for reasons unknown to me, it seems you didn't notice them.

So glad you enjoyed this song. What I love about it is that the tone really reflects the story. This is the song of the album that describes the moment Tristan and Isolde drank the love potion that would lead to their mutual demise. The sound is so weighty and melodramatic and is a perfect complement to that story.
Regarding the live stuff, I actually haven’t watched much live content so I genuinely would not know what to suggest. From what I have seen, it didn’t have the same impact on me that their studio work has had. For me, Qntal is a perfect studio act. The subtleties of their sound design really comes through. My plan has always been to do one song from each of their major releases in chronological order, so that’s what I’m going to keep requesting.
We’re about to enter their most exciting and varied era of music, so you’re going to see a lot more diversity of sound going forward. 😃
