I own an MX5. Its a blast. Easy to use, has a good sound. There are few chaining options and no predefined places in the chain signal! Its the best non-high end stuff imo
Wow! Bill, that is massive. I know you did a demo of the MX5 way back, but it would be cool to watch a breakdown of this peice. The Air Delay and drone sound amazing in the overall mix.
I almost got one, but the HX Stomp won me over. The crazy number of people using it just made it so much easier to justify the price and navigate the features.

Also it able to create parallel chains (one for drone and second for melody) wich you can balance by pedal and biggest fun-tool - Freeze-pedal! Watch in this way for more 8-) I reaally love my MX5 and happy too
I also use parallel channels and a "switch" button on the HOLD pedal. Allows you to create a background drone texture on the background. Works very well with ROTAY pedals slow movement.
Also my strats are both red with a white pickguard, when I see a burst with a black pickguard it makes me feel like you're the adult and I just have a toy, even though it's capable of all the same things.

They can be had used sometimes for $250 these days (I've even seen $200 a couple of times). There's a lot you can do with it for that
