AH HA...Dr Hook!!! you will ENJOY this group!!! Cover of the Rolling stone, Sylvia's Mother, Sharing the night together!!, When you are in love with a Beautiful Woman.......Jump on in!!!
This song is alright, but their biggest hits were Sharing The Night Together, When You're In Love With A Beautiful Woman and Sexy Eyes.. They had others, but these three were their slow dance/skate songs.
WOW!!!! It’s my day!!!! Dr. Hook and KC and the Sunshine band in one day!!!!! You have to to go down the rabbit hole of both groups!!!!!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You guys are very lucky if you can relate to this song 😉. Dr. Hook is known for this kind of songs. “Spending the night together “ is another great one, although “Silvia’s mother” is my favorite.
Dive...Dive ..Deep into these guys you won't be disappointed, one of the best if not the best concerts Iv'e ever seen. Try "Sylivia's Mother" or "Judy" or " I got stoned and I missed it" .....really you can't go wrong with any Dr. Hook song.
For flat out fun, you need Dr. Hook's Cover of The Rolling Stone. For love it's When you're In Love With a Beautiful Woman and Baby Makes Her Blue Jeans Talk. No such thing as bad Dr. Hook.
Yessss! Love this song! Holds a special meaning for me as well-😉. Also “Sharing the Night Together” and “Sexy Eyes.” . 🧡💜👍 PS nice, however the studio version is my preference-
Those guys are awesome. Dennis Locorriere is still performing, and lives in England. Ray Sawyer (eye patch) has been dead a couple of years. SYLVIA’S MOTHER is one of my favorites. The video, promo videos as they were called the , is phenomenal.
@@solitarybee3714 No performance is ever the same and not in a bad way. They can make you laugh, cry, wonder and you'd never know it just by looking at them. What you see is hardly what you get but then again this is Dr. Hook and the medicine show. Unique one of a kind and impossible to recreate. There will never be another. It broke my heart when Ray passed because much like the Beatles you want them to come together one last time.
My ex's band actually opened for these guys YEARS ago. I was able to meet them - (and have a few drinks with them on the tour bus!) Such genuine, nice people. I miss the band being together - their music is timeless ! I hope you do more -- RIP Ray xo
I got stoned and missed it, Cover of The Rolling Stone, Sylvia's Mother and Sharing The Night Together. A few good ones by Dr. Hook that y'all need to check out.
Dr. Hook and The Medicine Show...next “Sylvia’s Mother” “Cover of the Rolling Stone” “ Life ain’t Easy” “The Wonderful Soup Stone” “Penicillin Penny” that should get you started. Man these guys were great in concert.
This band are amazing. They are known for easy-listening love songs (like this) but have done some of the most outrageously shocking songs ever recorded! (Freakers Ball etc) and all done with incredible musical ability. I never fail to be amazed at their live performances
don't forget... they had the incredible shel silverstein on their writing team! omg young'uns ... if you haven't discovered the crazy cool mind, look him up ... do your homework (you can thank me after. )
Don't for get the song "You make my pants want to get up and dance", "Sexy Eyes", "Sharing the Night Together", "Millionaire", "When you're in love with a beautiful woman", "Carry Me, Carrie", "Freaker's Ball", "A Couple More Years", "Walk Right In", "Everybody's Making It Big but Me"!!!
I remember first hearing Dr Hook I was 8/9 1992/93 in my Dad’s Green Ford Capri 280.. I hijacked the cassette tape and wore it out 😂, still listening to them and appreciate and obviously gradually understood the songs lyrics
I just love Dr.Hook and the Medicine show. They are so cool. Their sound is phenominal. So much fun. "Love Sexy Eyes",and "When Youre in love with a beautiful woman".
Dr. Hook and the medicine show is my favorite guilty pleasure band. So glad you guys like it. Shel Silverstein wrote a lot of their songs. They're like Queen in the sense that their styles are all over the place.
One of my all time favorite groups. I saw them live in Scranton, Pa. back in the 70's and they are great. Try "Baby makes her blue jeans talk". Even better if you get the right video.
The band was called Dr. Hook because Ray Sawyer lost his eye in a car accident as a child and had to wear a patch over it. He loved the pirate thing. So they named the band Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show. Dennis Locorriere was the main singer of their songs. This sexy voice and sexy man won my heart back in the late seventies. This song is my all time favorite of theirs.
A beautiful masterpiece by Dr hook just what the doctor ordered by far easily their best song what a Beautiful song this group was very creative very versatile
Hello Guys, Lori I’m Phliiy here. Ok, I’m suggesting Queen “I Want To Break Free” , but you should also watch the official version cause it’s one of the coolest videos ever

Dr. Hook's most popular and in my opinion the very best song is called, Sylvia's Mother. Such a sad song. It's so fun coming to this UA-cam channel. I love Mel and Shawn!
I always got the Mickey taken out of me liking Dr. Hook but I liked it, I grew up with it, my parents are 74, I’m 43, they’ve known each other 68 years & have been married almost 52 years. Always loved Dr. Hook, I don’t care what anyone thinks. Nice one guys. South East England 😉👍
This band is so GREAT !! They had ALOT of hits in the day. The Dr. Hook name up when they didn't have a name for the band and they had to come up with SOMETHING FAST- hence the eye patch - Dr.Hook from Peter Pan. PLEASE DO MORE , THEY ARE A GREAT BAND FOR SURE !!!! 👍 BTW - the eyepatch is real - not a joke
Dr. Hook has so much loving music. Some of my favorites are "When you're in love with a beautiful woman", "Sexy eyes" and "Sylvia's mother. There are so many more, but this is a good start.
❤ That you reacted to Dr Hook. One of my favourite bands to listen to. I rocked my 27 year old as a baby to "sharing the night together" to sooth her to sleep, and 2 years ago took her to see Dennis Locorriere live in Sydney. Front row and we both loved it. Keep their music alive ❤
Love me some Dr Hook! That’s my fav song of theirs. They have other great ones such as “I got stoned and I missed it “ and “The Cover of the rolling Stone. “
Interesting to note that their songs are all written by an acclaimed writer & poet. That's why there was always something unusual about their lyrics. Kind of unique.
Actually, Shel didn't write all of their songs.Checked credits fir Pleasure and Pain , abd Sometimes You Win..He co-wrote 2 songs on SYW, some were co-written by Dennus and Ray, the rest by other songwriters. P & P had songs cowritten or written by Shel, as well as others including Jesse Coulter , J.J. Cale and others.
Shel wrote all the songs on their first 2 albums, then suggested that they start to write some of their own, because he had faith in them and knew they could...and they did. Even the doc who saved Ray's life wrote a song that they sang. Redwinged Blackbird.
Omg you guys are fantastic. Only just found you and your reaction was amazing. My mum loved these guys and this song will always remind me of her. I can't wait to watch some more of your reactions. AND........ LOVE HOW YOU HAVE ELVIS THERE WITH YOU TOO. X
