Great rock band from the 70's-80's. They had lots of hit songs such as "Sylvia's Mother", "The Cover Of Rolling Stone", "Only Sixteen", "A Little Bit More", "Sharing The Night Together", "Better Love Next Time", "Sexy Eyes" etc.
Dr. Hook has a lot of great songs and their one of the most fun entertaining live bands of all time. Some of their songs include Cover of the Rolling Stone and Silvia's mother
No one had more fun on stage than these guys if you don't believe me watch some of their videos, I know Iv'e seen them live and it was an absolute blast and so much fun.
I don't know if any other band has as much fun on stage as Dr Hook. But they also have some sad songs. Give a listen to their song "Kiss It Away" for a very sad song or, of course, Sylvia's Mother. Great reaction.
Dr. Hook was fun. Many many years ago I read a story about Dr. Hook meeting with a record company Exec for the first time and taking over his office, putting their feet upon his desk, etc.
I LOVE ❤ Dr Hook. They have some beautiful songs 🎵. And some funny songs. They just had the best time. Dennis Lacorriere (lead singer) has the best voice. 👌 I'm so glad you've finally got round to reacting to this group. ❤. "Sexy Eyes" "Better Love Next Time" "I Don't Wanna Be Alone Tonight" "If Not You" "Sylvia's Mother Said" & "Sharing The Night Together" are IMO, the best ones. ❤
Dr. Hook had a few rather risqué songs like "Penicillin Penny", "Get my Rocks Off", "I Call That True Love", "Looking For P*ssy", "I Got Stoned And Missed It", & "Freakin' At The Freaker's Ball" to name a few. If you want to hear a really sad song, check out Ray Sawyer (the guy with the eye patch (he lost the eye in a car wreck in the late 60s)) singing "(One More Year Of) Daddy's Little Girl". The emotion he puts into his voice will get to you.
Saw the title first thing out of my mouth was wow they have been landing hit after hit lately unbelievable as always peace love and joy to you and yours and keep up the wonderful adventure in music
Dr hook had a unique style. And sone really funny songs. Please keep reacting to them. Penicillin penny, freaking at the dreamers ball are really fun. You two would get a kick out of them
Thank you so much for reacting finally to Dr. Hook~! One of my favorite bands...Edited to say that whoever wrote this song was really hurt somewhere along the line by a friend or a beautiful (in the eyes of the beholder) woman...it is not an issue with true trusting love. (I have been blessed with almost 32 years of true love that leaves no doubt)
I think it depends entirely on your woman's personality, her self-respect and her values. If she just shuts other guys down, you have no need for suspicions, you'd drive yourself crazy living like that. Have you heard them do "levitate" yet?
You have been watching one of the biggest stoned, literally, bands ever. Also fun, fun, fun and soulfully wonderful. Check everything by them, promise you won't be disappointed. Not once.
Love the music you are picking, it's what I grew up with, Dad played constantly. I was in the Navy, my girlfriend then fiance, then wife, used to come down and look from a park on the carpark, she could see us, she waved us off whether for a few weeks of most of the year, have no choice but to trust her, all my shipmates knew her, All who saw her waved her bye as well. Like it wasn't just to me (which was primary) but everyone too, made them happy
Back in the day, this was so true, if you had a beautiful woman, it was hard to keep her because, every man had his eyes on her, this was what he was talking about! Love your reactions'! Glad you've decided to go down this rabbit hole! Love Dr Hook!
I love Dr Hook - especially their earlier songs which can be quite different from their cleaned up, (more) sober look in this video. Always entertaining and they had a surprisingly wide repertoire.🤩
Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show have some absolutely beautiful songs 😍 The Cover of the Rolling Stone, Sylvia’s Mother, Sharing the Night Together, Sexy Eyes, etc 😊🎶☮️
My late dad's favorite group. I grew up watching my mum and dad dance to this , they have a great one called "Sylvia's mother" it's a beautifully written song you guys will love 💕. Love seeing you two love birds appreciate real talent and music x

I learned the lyrics to this for my sisters 40th. We always have sing alongs when we are partying and she lives Dr Hook and I liked them but didn’t know all the lyrics like her so I surprised her at her party!!
Dr. Hook is such a great band! And a string of hits through the 70s. (This one, of course) "Sexy Eyes" "Cover Of the Rolling Stone" "I Got Stoned And I Missed It" "Sharing the Night Together" "A Little Bit More" "Carrie Me, Carrie" "Only Sixteen" (more)

I am soooo very, very happy to finally see someone listen to Dr. Hook. This band is so under-rated. You need to also listen to "Sharing the Night Together," "Sexy Eyes," "Cover of the Rolling Stone," "Yodel," and "Baby Makes Her Blue Jeans Talk." One more "You Make My Pants Want to Get Up and Dance."
Well, you tell us since Shawn is in love with a beautiful woman! Thank you for another fun reaction, you two are the best reactors. I love how much fun you are having; you make me have fun every time! :)
Dr. Hook is my favorite band...Lucky enough to see them in northern Maine years ago. I would love it if you would do my favorite "Sweetest of all." it makes you think of a special love....Anyway, there is so much more to explore. "Syliva's Mother", "Queen of the Silver Dollar." "Stoned and I Missed it," for some fun and even more fun, "Feakers Ball" Dr. Hook is an experience I hope you do much more of.
Oh you must check out On the cover of the rolling stone Also Ray Sawyer singing Daddy’s Little Girl this is a real tear jerker so have the tissues ready

love "Sexy Eyes" and "A Little Bit More" by Dr Hook!!!!
Sylvia's mother was my favorite
"Cover of the Rolling Stone" is Dr. Hook's best-loved track... I hope you both enjoy doing a 'reaction' to it. It's a classic!
Yes, please do that one! But you also need to watch them perform - it's half the fun. Or "Milllionaire".
Best loved?? Man, they have way to many classics to pick just one! Lol. Love Dr.Hook
Another banger! Love Dr. Hook, my favorite is the song "Sharing the Night Together". They are such a fun band to watch. Really great performers.
Dr. Hook has a lot of great songs and their one of the most fun entertaining live bands of all time. Some of their songs include Cover of the Rolling Stone and Silvia's mother
I love this band so much. SYLVIA’S MOTHER is a tear-jerker. It’s beautiful, too.
The point is that you have to watch YOUR FRIENDS. It says it right in the song.
I think Shawn is a happy guy being in love with his beautiful woman!💖
Shawn & Mel, you'll love their "Sharing The Night Together" and "Cover Of The Rolling Stone"!!!
I’d add Sylvia’s Mother as well
@@chillywilly9080 I got stoned and I missed it - one of my favourites.
I'll add two. Roland The Roadie And Gertrude The Groupie along with Freakin' At The Freaker's Ball
@@brianmiller6055 I was thinking Freakers Ball! …but I’m not sure how that tune would go over these days
@@chillywilly9080 your so right. People have no sense of humor these days
Great Band Great Music Enjoy !
