Love the details, not just in the visuals, but the sound development as well. Which is a huge part in making the engagement more real.
As somone who has played both Horizon and PS VR 1 this seems like an amazing step forward for PS VR. I can't wait to see more gameplay of this and see Mikes reaction to the game. Looks stunning and must feel breathtaking seeing the machines alive and in VR. Can't wait to play but gotta get a headset first

I just finished playing this game, up to the part where I met Aloy and I am beyond amazed at how immersive I felt in the game. Seeing Aloy, in person was incredible! She is so petite, too. I thought she'd be taller. I can hardly wait to get back to playing it again tomorrow. If anyone is considering buying the PS5 VR2, then I say don't hesitate. If the other games are as impressive, then they'll be taking more of my money for sure!

Headset rumble is a crazy thing. If only the controller tracking was better and it worked on PC, then this would have been my next HMD.

I don't think there are any issues with tracking this time since it doesn't use light to track the controllers

I have played this game on psvr2, that's totally different from pc. It's so amazing!
People saying that in the headset it looks exactly like what we see in the video: not true.
When you're playing, it is A LOT blurrier and not as crisp as what you see on the TV screen. I feel that every single reviewer fails to mention that or has been bought.

Played this briefly yesterday. I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed. I noticed the “grainy” image. Didn’t seem as crisp as I thought it would. Have to play more
No VR does. The tech is not at such a level where it could look crystal clear while still being this cheap.
I didn't really understand the part on the boat where you were like right next to he raptor bots but "hiding" from them. Like they're two feet away and just not lookingm

PSVR2 will be my first journey into VR anything. I think this video is great, but the experience in the headset adds realism I cannot appreciate watching this video. It looks very immersive. Sony is a powerhouse for gamers everywhere. They are at the pinnacle of gaming today.
You are in for a revelation I tell you that.
Sony is not the pinnacle of gaming, they are always about 10 years behind on what PC gaming features.
If you want bleeding-edge, get a PC and a valve index.
@@evolicious dude i have an Index and psvr2 is alot better. The only good things index has are a bigger fov and full finger tracking. But the specs of psvr2 are way better
@@evolicious 10 years behind? Tell me what pcvr has hdr oled pannels, addptive trigger or rumble in the headset? Yes that is right not 1. Also no headset on pc uses eye-tracking + foveated rendering, if they did you wouldn't need high end pc's to run games at an equal level as psvr2.

you can also create a new user on ps5 under the "invite" tag so no need for a psn account. and your friend can try on it and that new user will be deleted after the person log out of the user
Yes you can make a guest account and have a separate save file for any game. Also there is a machine boat ride safari mode which is like the beginning but it’s shows off more of the machines and there’s a fight at the end

I was all aboard the hype train too. I wanted it be amazing. 3 days of owning psvr2 and I returned it. Dissapointment on every level for me personally. Still just feels like a lunch box on my face with blurry visuals and a good dose of motion sickness.
I mean, I’m not gonna tell you off or anything,but most of what you said is just user error and a lack of understanding of VR on your part.
Why are the edges of my field of view turning black whenever I'm moving . It's not just in the vr headset, you can see it on the monitor as well. I assume it's doing that to help render but it's really annoying. What's the deal
I had the same problem and googled my ass off for this one 😅 Go to the option menue amd switch of vignette (I hope it's the same in english, I just have the german setup, should be the third option from top in the middle column). It's supposed to help with motion sickness, but it's annoying af 🙄

I forgot how physically taxing vr is … my feet and arms hurt lol , by the time this game is over I won’t be able to enjoy it w/o aches lol

Rather than a VR game that puts me fully into it where I have to do all the physical moves, I want a game where I still play it traditionally with a controller but can see it in VR rather flat screen. I am 39, work a lot, and playing is a break for me. I don't want to be physically climbing and shooting arrows. I want to sit in my recliner, kick back, and play a great game while seeing high quality 3d visuals. Is this possible? Are there any games like this or is everything designed for physical involvement?

I played my psvr2 for an hour last night. I'll test it more tonight. I tested gt7 and kayak. Does not look nearly as good as on TV. I'll try horizon tonight. All these youtubers seem to be exaggerating big time.
It looks like that for me. You need to put on the psvr2 right, the lenses have a sweetspot.

@@solid_justice5855 tried again today. The game looks fucking terrible. Everything is low resolution and blurry. I had to turn it off in the end to imagine breaking everything we were told about this headset is a complete lie. It is literally the same as the original horrible film grain affect over everything.

How do the graphics actually look, is the picture sharp and detailed or do we still get some of that blurriness like with psvr 1?
Still blurry thanks to the fresnel lenses, colour fringing on text so you can see red and blue around text
I think it looks clear and sharp in the headset. Only in the far distence it gets blurry. It is way better then psvr1

@@solid_justice5855 lol yep, was actually my issue. The right place in the lens is so small that it's actually quite hard to position the headset right at first, took me about an hour or 2 to finally crack the code of how its supposed to be positioned

Not a PlayStation guy and I wish so bad this game was on pc
I was heartbroken with mine, the box was sealed but it looked like I had been sent a demonstration headset once opened, the right lens had 3 circular imperfections, a fingerprint texture all over the right lens & the face bit had hairs and a lot of dust. Didn't even plug it in or look at the controllers, I just returned it back to them for a refund. I was super buzzed to try this & it was a Christmas present. I Hope no one else has this experience, it killed my hype before I even got to use it.

Firstly, the device cost £529.99 from Sony, if it was £59.99, I would still expect it to be clean. If sony had better quality control, this wouldn't happen.
Secondly, I can't believe I've got to explain this one, but as your obviously new to life, here goes.
1. She opened Google Chrome.
2. She typed in Sony Direct.
3. She clicked pre-order.
4. She checked out & paid.
5. She printed the pre-order confirmation email.
6. She purchased a Christmas card.
7. She put the the pre-order confirmation print out into the card.
8. She gave me the card.
Guess what? I opened the card! 'Kaboom, MAGIC'. Now say it back slowly, so I know you understand.

Looks fantastic. It is understandable that this game is so handholdy for the player especially that it is a launch title, but PlayStation must make their VR games more realistic in term of mechanics and difficulty in the future. Something along the line of BoneWorks, BoneLab, HL Alyx, TWD Saints & Sinners, Blade & Sorcery.
I mean, there is truly no need for every climbable rock to be outlined with white paint for me to figure out that it is climbable and that this is the direction I have to head, or for every door and interactable thing to be wrapped with yellow robes. These things make many players feel st*pid. We should be able to explore without holding our hands. Or that ridiculous unrealistic long distance strafing/dodging. When we play games in flat screens and our character dodges this far we can accept that, but when WE are in game, and our character which is represented in US moves this way it feels really odd and unrealistic. We also deserve to have full bodies in-game now with these high end specs and with the latest achieved technologies concerning that, or at least to use inverse kinematics (IK). All such details must be truly looked at more carefully by the developers to make the VR games as realistic as possible in a fantastic world. Yes even in fantasy there should be a level of realism, especially things that are related to the body and ability of the player, to make it feel real.
I am sure that these changes achieve a better feel overall.
Outside of VR, majority of games are holding players hands. A.i. had been dumbed down over a few generations. Difficulty in games now a days, when it is there, is to make unpredictable patterns or high HP high damage enemies
Half life Alyx ai was dumb down to cater to players as well.
You ever play any of OGPSVR Sony Studio titles? They already have had VR games with those mechanics, also TWDS&S was on OGPSVR and part 2 is on PSVR2. Farpoint on OGPSVR with the AIM controller and a 3d printed buttstock is still to this day the best VR experience I've had in a shooter co-op.
@@PandaGamingPodcast Yes, 3rd party developers were creative enough to allow for such mechanics. But previous Sony made games feel lacking in term of mechanics and player freedom through over guiding and lack of possible creativity.
And I am afraid that they will continue making the same mistake of making games brain-dead simple and very easy for EVERYONE. There should be a level of trust in the player's ability and a level of difficulty that allows for creativity during play. Even Valve made some of these mistakes in their Half Life Alyx.
Farpoint was fantastic of course, and the gun controller was on another level of immersion.
It is good that 3rd party developers are doing great work, but VR needs GIANTS like Sony and its studious to push the boundaries further into what's possible in VR.
To be fair, the painted handholds are a feature of the main game's worlds anyway...but I do agree.
