- Adding 250mm to the 800mm wingspan to give 1050mm. Much smoother flight. Greatly reduced roll authority, but will be better with pushrods move to outer holes on the servo arms.
Cruise current 3.5A
Knauff XPS yellow foam, cut with a hot wire bow.

Interesting that this also seems to get rid of most of the yaw wag on this plane. That was actually driving me crazy much more than the roll bumpyness.
I never appreciated the variety of flying spots in that area until seeing the aerial footage in this video. How fun.
Lots of coast and islands, but a lot of locked away farmland too.
Due to the shrinkification lately and, the recession now you need to add a 20% wingspan yourself.

Confirms that bigger is always smoother. I used to fly 3000 lbs craft spanning thirty-odd feet, they were a lot easier to handle than even our best models.

You nearly said FrSky, but saved it with SBUS receiver.....Although it could be one of those cheap RM RX's whose range isn't very good either....lol ..😏😏😀🇬🇧

Great results Andrew. Mine is black so may look a little strange, but I also found beefing up the tail and empennage made a big difference to roll stability.
I had thought about buying another kit to replace my slightly damaged fuselage, a pair of donor wings in black may now go under the knife. Cheers.
Tail is a bit flexy, I might do that as well

It was obviously short on wingspan from the get go... You only have to look at the proportions to realise that. Great simple mod making this plane how it should have been out the mould....That grass looks so dry Andrew...🤔😳🇬🇧🇬🇧
Yes, just a little more would have been enough out of the box
It’s weird cause I fly my nano talon evo and it’s 860mm but it’s super stable once you get the AUW to 960g +

Okay, so I already printed two versions, one gives me total 960mm wingspan the other 1200 :) Going to try the shorter first.

All you have to do is cut the tip of your wing off and trace that onto paper.
@@olliea6052 thank you. I would prefer other overengineered solution like an.stl file to 3d print a stencil to make the wing extensions before making any cuts the plane😅
