Such an under-rated martial art. Hard to learn, even harder to Master but you will be untouchable once you do. Even just 3 years of judo will make you a bad ass
Kano put together an algorithm of possible sequences of physical actions that will never be matched. It's the ultimate usage of science incorporated to any sport. That's why with like you said like 3 years of well learned judo skills any person will be almost immune to any attack from an average person, even with body weight difference.
It has been part of Chinese martial art for more than 1000 years. It isn't as glamorous as high kicks but sometimes more practical in real street fights as Bruce Lee used to say. He incorporated it in one of his movies
You missed one extremely important aspect: stability on this feet. There were perfect timed techniques applied to him in this video to prove it. He would just not break.
@@AlexCruz-wc1yo well, it's over 40 years ago since I last played judo. Watching again, I can see what you mean. Truly amazing skills, he would have put in tens of thousands of hours or training to achieve this I'm sure
@@markdonovan1540 You were totally on point with your comment. It's just that that ability to keep on your feet defying the physics is what did set athletes like this dude apart from the rest and sometimes you are just born with it. Notice how the others employed perfect techniques that they repeated millions of times, too. This guy just would not fall. I guess that why they called him "The natural".

@@AlexCruz-wc1yo makes sense, really appreciate your insight. Although I've long given up playing Judo, I still follow it's development and practice. I've been doing other practices for years since then, first Kung Fu and then Tai Chi. Something I discovered first in Kung Fu, then developed a different understanding through Tai Chi, was something they call "rooting". It seems that once you can develop very deep internal relaxation you can connect or root yourself to the ground. It makes your feet feel like they have suction pads, even though you don't employ gripping with toes or friction grip. I do believe, and I've seen it in others, that some people seem to have an innate ability to do this. So it's completely natural and appears effortless, yet it's effect in situations of someone trying to break your balance is unparalleled. Many of the old Judokas developed this skill in combination with moving as light as a feather so that you could never find their centre, so you could never get to break their balance, you could never read them but they always read you and just picked the moment to go blam! Back in the day I was taught Judo by Keith Remfry and people who trained with him. He had that "flat foot" sticking to the floor thing too. He was big and fast, but his centre of gravity was always low and he used to throw us around like rag dolls.
The Caucuses mountains produce the most incredible grapplers on this planet, in my opinion. Absolutely built different, physically and mentally they just get it.
*в реалии он Таджикскому дзюдоисту Сухробу Бокиеву проиграл, но судья нечестно судили, несмотря на чистый иппон со стороны Таджика победу дали этому дзюдоисту.* Но Беслан тоже красиво играет, молодец.
He said that Mudranov has lost to Boqiev (3:10), and that judjes were biased and it was clear ippon by Boqiev. "But Beslan is good too." (As like as Boqiev I guess).
