In the realm of addressing GBV, it's essential to foster a more holistic understanding. GBV impacts individuals of all genders, yet there is often a misconception that it exclusively affects women. To effectively combat GBV, gender activists should acknowledge that circumstances can make anyone a victim, whether by choice or chance. There's a Somali proverb that exemplifies this, -If your wife beats you, it's as if your cow has kicked you. Whom can you confide in? Although I disagree with this proverb, I recognize its bias in shaping perceptions.
Another crucial aspect to emphasize is that under Islamic Sharia law, offenses like defilement and rape its very clear about it and should be treated with utmost seriousness as stated in islamic sheria and are applicable to both genders.

The most widespread and pronounced form of GBV is child ritual penectomy which is an Islamic norm. In a minority of cases, roughly one in six to seven, a form of ritual injury is performed on girls too although typically only superficial or at least not one which alters the anatomy beyond the normal variation. After these cases are accounted for where the ritual is gender inclusive, more than a quarter of the global male population has experienced GBV in the form of amputating mutilation on the most intimate part of their immature body. Around 75% of all cases happen in Islamic communities as a religious practice contradicting your claim about Islamic Sharia law. Even more egregious is the fact that it is condoned by all states and even in cases where the child does not survive, cutters generally go free! There's a good chance you yourself are a victim.

When the demon of strife gets into the man they fight any form of love and so isolates them from their wife and family which is something that has been happening for a long time. If the wife prays for direction from God and is led to stay, the demon flees. If she has no backing from the Holy Spirit, she may face the worst violence. And if she herself has a demon of jealousy and strife, both or one ends up in a terrible state of mind that instigates further violence and even death.
