As a Thai straight person I don't see why this wasn't done ages ago. Why should other people care if two men or two women want to be together? No one is forcing you into a gay marriage. Historically it was the other way, how many gay people have been pressured/forced into straight marriages when they were gay back when arranged marriages were a thing. My late great-aunt was gay, she lived with her partner until they passed, I'm just sad that they didn't live to see this day. Gay relationships have been around for hundreds if not thousands of years, probably from before humans became humans, we see same sex relationships in nature, it's part of nature, just not the reproductive part, but not every relationship needs to be. People just need to butt out of other people's business.
It's actually those people relate it to themselves. Those opposing LGBTQ+ thinks that their kids will follow it and they don't want it to happen. But it's just false narration created by themselves. I agree that this should also happen in other countries as well, in India as well where I am from. One thing I want to point out to you. Use lesbian and not gay if your aunt recognised herself as a woman. We should use appropriate words and should not mix it up.
Using ormfolk as your thumbnail was all the click bait you needed😂. But they're not married though, just huge actors who support the lgbtq+ community 😊❤
Remember that Marriage is a legal position made by legislators. Married people have rights over and above that of non married people... Placing boundaries on this is hypocritical. If any 2 people wish to choose this position in life then they should be able to do so without restriction. It has nothing to do with gender, race or anything other than 2 humans making a choice ..... Regardless of their gender, belief or anything, they should be able to have this legal status. Good on Thailand for making this logical change to their laws.
Buddhism is probably the only religion that is not against same sex marriage. Based on the Aganna Sutta, the precursor to human beings were of the same sex.
@@_aididI agreed with you. Hinduism has also had a significant influence on Thai society, alongside Buddhism.
