In this video, I share the first part of my awesome motorcycle trip to Northumberland with my good friend Lillie. We are both passionate bikers and we decided to have a girls biking holiday in this beautiful area of England.
We started our journey from Bolton and rode to the Northumberland, which is one of the UK’s best kept biking secret locations. We found a lovely place to stay, set up our base and then went for a ride to explore the stunning scenery and roads.
We had a lot of fun and excitement on our bikes, and we also enjoyed the views and the fresh air.
This was a great start to our motorcycle adventure and we couldn’t wait to see more of Northumberland.

Your ĺike two school kids going on holiday to the seaside for the first time. Really enjoyed your video driven those roads myself but never on a bike.
I can but compliment you on your road destination taste! I see you passed beautiful Rothley Crags on the way to Rothbury - "phroar.....look at this road....." - well worth a climb up to see the folly/castle next time you come.
All my own videos are of Northumberland's hidden gem roads, which are a treat for the rider to explore and experience. Of course, I'm slightly biased. 😀
Although only part 1, here, I'm sure you had a wonderful experience overall.

A cracking start to a new series Kate and Lillie with part one, the journey to the beginning. I'm sad to hear about Lillie's off as others have mentioned and the demise of the bike but it's great news that she's OK and back on two wheels for a girls' road trip. I had to chuckle at the 'food baby' comment after the fish and chips meal. Many thanks for sharing.

I owned a 2012 Ninja 1000 SX and sold it for a Kawasaki Z H2. I have to say in 100% honesty even with my Z H2 being tuned and modded to 225 hp at the wheel for an everyday bike I really miss my Ninja 1000. In fact, I'm currently selling the Z H2 and planning on getting a new or slightly used newer Ninja 1000. So fun seeing you having such a good time. It's contagious makes me want to take a road trip now too. :-)

The b6318 runs parallel to the a69 it's the longest b road in England which also runs beside Hadrian's wall you could have seen the iconic tree before some nasty person chopped it down

It’s been quite a while since I was on Holy Island apart from the beautiful meed I remember talking to an old fisherman who was working on his nets and as I was talking to him he started crying because his way of life was coming to an end , he was so sad and yet he had great faith and was lovely to talk to about his life bless him😊
I really liked the map I bet that’s hard to do.

Living north of Corbridge, you’re in my back yard. Very lucky to ride these roads on a regular basis, don’t tell everybody how good the roads up here are😆😆👍
PS. Glad you had a great time. Should have left the A69 at Greenhead and followed the Military Road….
Northumberland is one of my favourite places to ride, if you get a bit of sun its amazing, Otterburn up to Rothbury and then Anwick, cracking little route❤
I moved to Northumberland from Cornwall and Liked it so much I stayed, that was over 20 years ago. Great biking roads.

Blimey Kate rothbury is a long way from Morpeth I was getting excited you were going through my home town but rothbury is a lovely place.plenty of bikers on Saturday and Sunday.

Kate, FFS please keep your hands on the bars, you're toooooo lovely and complacent especially when speaking to us about the trip. Anyways,why don't the two of you try a trip up here in East Lothian , it's a great coastline all the way from Northumberland and you can pop into the Winterfield Golf club for a smashing meal /salad at Dunbar then perhaps to snooty North Berwick. The views from golf club are fantastic. I'll watch rest of vid shortly,so far so super good, hopefully you and Lillie never fall out as it's obvious together you are both terrific travelling companions. Thanks regards Robert

Found this vid and you two are hilarious. Been in rothbury a few times as live 20 miles from there. The locals would like you two , Turks head and Newcastle inn you’d be the star attractions !

Can't wait for the rest, especially since I'm on the road working away from my beloved bike. In my experience probiotics are very helpful after an antibiotic regimen. I have no medical training whatsoever, just a lot of unfortunate injuries.

Oh yeah, the left turn at the top of park road in West Houghton, it a bad sweeping turn even when its dry. On a meet up we usually go to the mercury service station to fill up.
A part of the country we need to tour,I've been a few times but not bike touring. Have kawasaki improved the seat on the SX? I know three people who had the earlier version and all said the seat was rock hard and uncomfortable position for touring! Looking forward to your next one.we have a 2016 1290 but I need to test the newer version 👍.

Every time you have the chance try to turn around on the parking lot and point the bike to the exit. It saves a lot of effort when you start again.

Hey Kate & Lillie! What did you use for the map tracking (3:44) - that is awesome! I'm actually working on a trip video myself at the moment and this would be a nice addition.
I think it's just an app called TravelBoast or Travel Animator. Not sure how good or legit these apps are as I've never used them but it looks cool.

Burm, sorry, that's my accent Paul! Where the road has collapsed either side and it leaves a raised point in the middle. It goes all around the corner. Think I'm gonna wrote to the council because it keeps getting worse as time goes on
Well Kate, I wasn't sure that I was OK with your large location panels that pop up. However, having seen a few, I am starting to like them a lot. There is nothing worse than thinking "Where?" & "What did she say?". Now we know clearly where you are (if you announce it). This could be a real change for the better. Thanks!

I found using a tinted visor was difficult to see my sat nav , how was it for you.
lilly shop'ed a "new" motorbike if i translated it right ? ...so does we can wait for a review with both kawasaki and lilly her choice ?
