No Andrew is. He's definitely my favourite, so chill and genuine without any semantics.
I love how opinionated Steve is, but sometimes he can be a struggle to get along with.
But, he usually comes in at a higher equity ask. Unfortunately, people will walk away over 5% without realizing the equity the inventor/biz owner does retain will likely explode in value. The sharks can make that original 10% the equivalent of 1000% in 12-18 months.
I dont get why people avoiding Steve so much. From all those sharks he is the only genuine person in there and he is straight up about everything.

The man deserves more respect
He's very candid. That can rub people the wrong way, but in business it really shouldn't. The people that tend to decline his offers are usually people who've recently entered the business scene, no matter how successful, so aren't as used to that attitude as others might be. I like his offers, to be honest he sort of reminds me of Peter Jones on Dragons' Den.

That's how I read the situation too. He was rooting for those guys, so he created a situation where Andrew ran the risk of being left out. (And if Andrew didn't bite, he'd still have a pretty solid investment for only half the risk)

It’s so super sweet of her that she gives away hundereds of the fairy dolls to sick kids in the hospital a couple times a year. She doesn’t have to do that once so ever yet she goes out of her way to do so in order to make sick dying kids wake up with a smile on theyre faces

Maybe she did, back in the day. But the business has apparently folded, and there were complaints flying around about not delivering the goods to customers.
I checked too, the one site I read all the way through had all one star reviews.
Every single one said essentially the same thing. Paid money, never received items and were ghosted.
There are apparently several companies selling the same product. Those are selling and have variations on the fairy theme.
The idea wasn't patented, so the original got undercut. Put that with an assumed supply chain problem and everyone lost.
It's a pity, the lady sounds like she had a real passion for the Fairy Door.

You know what I love about these Sharks vs the Sharks in the US and the UK? These AUS Sharks always smile and they're kind, friendly, and compassionate. The Sharks in the US and the UK always look like they have a bit of a god complex. They never smile. They are very often rude and they always give off a vibe as if they are elevated above the puny mortals who come to them for a deal.

The sharks in Australia are definitely more humble than the sharks in the US and dragons in the UK, and I think that's a product of the culture. Australians hate stuck up plutocrats, so no one is going to tune in for a show every week to watch five people they hate act like they're better than everyone else. On the other hand the US loves it. They watched ten seasons of a show where Donald Trump spits "YOU'RE FIRED!" at people, they've got no concern with Sharks being rude and unnecessarily hostile.
Not true I saw many an episode with dragons UK where they teared up or showed compassion, I actually found the UK one more professional and thorough

The Cancer Aid people answered all the questions with smooth answers and the right attitude. They knew what their real market is, they knew that their product wouldn't be taking money away from something else because their app is useful, and they even were in charge asking the sharks what their evaluations were. Amazing job!

@Gareth Tucker well, in that security case, even the government cyber security have their own weakness to hack. system informations always have a crack never be perfect, what the IT need to do is how to mitigate the loss when the hack happened, or try to improve and maintenance the security to avoid hack hapenned.
And how did they all do? Dessert Boxes - no info but going strong / Canceraid - 2021 value of $20m / Lil fairy door - no longer in business / Inappropriate Gifts - changed her mind after the show and rejected the 250k offer! / Sharknado - no mention of the sharks after the show, no info if the deal ever went through.
The deal for sharknado alive did go through and it's very much open for business.

@@SamuelPfleumerSami No, such apps and networks require a lot of maintenance and upgrades. At the very least they would need to hire people for that. It's overall much easier, cheaper, and better to buy this. As a general rule, people benefit in trade the most when they stick to areas of their expertise, and buy/outsource the rest.

I’ve seen a few comments about the Australian sharks being nicer. Australian culture is very much about fairness, giving back and staying humble. Australians don’t like any sort of classism and people with a lot of money are thought much better of if they are humble, stay in touch with their roots and treat their employees fairly. Australian audiences wouldn’t tune in to people with wealth and advantage talking down to people asking for help with their businesses.
I have been binge watching back to back episodes for couple of days and I think Steve really cares about the entrepreneurs cause either he is giving them the deal they wanted or helping them convince other sharks to come to terms. Man I have seen it happening time and time

Being Canadian I started watching Dragon's Den which is our version of Shark Tank. A few of our Dragons jumped ship to the American Shark Tank so I've been watching both. Then came across the Australia version of Shark Tank and must say I like it a lot more than the American version. It's more like the Canadian show in that the sharks are generally much nicer than their American counterparts. And I really like how after the person decides, the sharks will often stand up to shake their hands even if they weren't chosen.

As a cancer patient, i would NEVER log my drugs and medical records on an app. Too many apps and computers have been hacked and records stolen and sold.
I've had medical computer records stolen/hacked from 2 different medical clinics and 2 different health insurance companies.
Besides the medical field and insurance compa ies are great at selling your info as well. I know. I was in the medical field for almost a half a century.

Personally tech means also efficiency and possibly better advertising and innovation in their gifts. They should have sought for a partnership with both Steve and Naomi.
