The unfortunate part of this movie was released along with Dosti and Woh Kaun thi in 1964. In the Film fare Award for best song one thought would go to either Sangam or Woh Kaun thi.Ultimately it went to Dosti for Mohammed Rafi. Till 1966 there was no separate prize for Male Singer and female Singer. but from 1967 onwards separate trophy was given.
