Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on UA-cam, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on UA-cam. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on UA-cam, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Squier's best album in my opinion, full of bangers. Good job Shawn...
I play in my car a lot
This is my 2nd favorite Billy song. My favorite is "In The Dark". If you look on his utube channel, you can find both a remastered audio of the studio version, AND a video that was played in heavy rotation back in the early MTV days. "In the Dark" has some very enigmatic lyrics! You would dig it for sure!!! 👍
This album was released during the SAME Month as the premier of MTV!!!! It's one of so many that I will always associate with the early MTV days! I was 28 years old, and had a huge crush on Billy, especially that MTV performance vid!!!🔥
Still sing to it move to it just like 1982 ❤❤❤❤
Billy knew how to get into that sweet spot groove. The drumming on this song is thumpin' all the way.
Billy’s fun - check out Everybody Wants You.
Man, this album is great & his best work imo. Have several of these singles in my Route 66 playlist, including this. Billy had a great voice & that guitar work screams rock-n-roll! 😎🤘 [Edit: yes, Shawn you gotta bring more Billy Squire!]
One of the greatest debut albums of the '80s. This album Rocks start to finish.
Get ya down the road
Billy had many hits. This guy was all over the sound systems at the skate rinks!
lol true
Which ones did he go to?
@@michaelasay8587 I corrected my first post for clarity.
Oh wow...I had forgotten this. Thanks for playing.
Holy 💩, where do you go next? There's so many: "Everybody Wants You," "Don't Say You Love Me," "The Stoke," "My Kinda Lover," and on and on you can find great songs from Billy! Pick one, there is no wrong choice.
Good ear for the epic drummer Bobby Chouinard. He passed away way too young in his 40’s. RIP to one of Rock’s legendary drummers, a big part of Billy Squier’s rockin sound. ✌🏽
The opening riff is as popular as "Smoke On The Water" for anyone learning the guitar 🎸 ❤
I was lucky enough to see him live when he opened for none other than Van Halen! what a show! this song brought back a lot of great memories thanks for the reaction!
One of the great guitar Riffs in Rock.
You need to do Whatta ya want from me from this album
He had lots of hits, this is by far my favorite song by him.
A lessor known song by Billy that’s good is “I Need You.”
I saw Billy Squier open for Queen in '82. He brought so much energy to the arena that, for me, the Queen show was overshadowed. (Granted, Queen were on the Hot Space tour, not fairing that well at the time.)
🔥🔥🔥
"Nobody Knows" is a great tribute to Lennon. It's completely different from his regular stuff. Check it out after listening to his other songs.
This album was in HEAVY rotation during it's peak and the main hits continue to be played on classic rock stations. I had both this and the next album.
I LOVED BILLY BACK IN THE DAYS HE ROCKS!!!!!NOBODYS FAULT BUT MINE IS A GREAT SONG TOO LOL
Boom ☘️🇺🇲
Shawn, I was watching your reaction to Mark Knopfler and some how I accidently touched something on my phone and it disappeared and I couldn't find it again. But you were saying something about really good guitar players. Well here is one you may not know about. You would be doing yourself a favor if you would please watch the live version of Roy Clarks Malaguena. It's a Spanish guitar song. It's something to see. Roy Clark is passed now. He was a country singer. He also used to be on a TV show called Hee Haw. Check it out please!
Ya Shawn Squier was great high school one louder rock in the early 80's!! I knew he was a Boston rocker but you taught me he was from my neighboring town, pronounced Well-zlee. Great reaction!
Billy was at his peak in the '80s, a great singer and guitarist. He reminds me a lot of Sammy Hagar ("I Can't Drive 55").
Saw Billy open on the Forgeigner juke box hero tour.
Bobby Chouinard killing it on the drums!
billy deserves to be in the rock n roll hall of fame
This guy could do no wrong for a few years, until 'the video'. I still crank up his tunes on my party and joyride playlists all the time and always will.
Great song! I haven't heard it in years, and so happy you found it!! Yeah!
That album popped up out of nowhere with all kinds of great songs. First track I heard was The Stroke and I went right out and bought the LP. Then just like that he was out of sight and not heard of ever again.
❤Yesssss...Billy S !!!
…..all those tracks you said at the end are bangers ❤️🔥🔥🎸
fun fact every trans am sold between 1981-85 came installed with this cassette lol
If you’ve never heard Nobody’s Fault But Mine, go listen.
One Album Wonder Shawn, His Biggest By Farrrr Was ( The Stroke ) 🙂
he had 3 multi platinum albums
Yeah, Billy Squier has got some fun 80's Rock hits on the DON'T SAY NO album, just DON'T watch the video for THE STROKE, it's what ruined his career.
Nope. That was “Rock Me Tonite,” the first single from his fourth album. ”The Stroke” is from his second album (as is this track).
He was a blues guitar player till I guess he wanted to actually make money with Radio Hits..who can blame him. Drummer definitely was a big John Bonham fan…sounds like John playing 😮
Always thought Billy "borrowed" from Zep's tune.
I would say he was influenced by Led Zeppelin and eddy van halan in terms of his live performance

Live for this one is killer. Saw them on this tour in '81.
The Big Beat next. Earlier BS.
