    After redesigning my place for all wind options I have 15 stands on 40 acres all exterior located and designed for bow ambush and way off food rifle depending which family member is hunting. Not 1 stand intrudes more than 5-20 yards off property lines to maximize the 40 acres. Thanks to you I have followed your teaching, planted 100 lbs of switch, have 2 acres summer food, 4 acres fall/winter, it’s changed the game not ever going in the middle of my hunting land. Thank you again.

      My wife missed two of the biggest deer she’s ever seen last year lol but she is ready this year, the buck fever got to her lol but this year my step daughter will be hunting for the first time so I’m very grateful for your teachings. My property went from a 1-2 person a year hunting property to a 5 person a year hunt opportunity at giants on just a 40 acre property. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts. @whitetailhabitatsolutions

    ON our 360 acres we have 6 tower stands and at least 30 ladder and hang on stands , Sometimes its hard to decide which one to sit in and then you second guess yourself thinking you should be somewhere else, all part of the game , I love it,

      Hi Stephen! What I find is we only have say 6 or 7 for a given wind for an evening sit. Then we haven't seen the sign we would like to by 2 or 3 of them. Then 1 was just sat in within a few days. We get it down to around 2 or 3 out of 30+ pretty quick. And then sit in the wrong one 😁

    My 10 acre strip central U.P. I am going 2 stands. One in a tree and other a cantilever platform off the ridge for handicap hunters. Handicap accessible buildings sell faster. So we only build handicap accessible openings and bathrooms. My moms 5 acres se MI I have 2 blinds. One just brush and a milk crate. In the power line clearing where I do get shots at bucks. The other is in the woods by the duck pond. I also still hunt the picnic table old timer style in a red flannel with bow. Deer there don't spook easy. My mom's property has hardwoods, pines, autumn olives, large garden, fruit trees, and berries. Their is a nice ladder tree stand at my moms I don't use for hunting. It has my swarm trap for bees on it. In the cfa land you can fell the impact tremors through the sand. Gives new meaning to tread lightly. The deer on cfa land are more worried about 4 legged predators than 2 legged, me too. I need to get those deer from cfa land to my property. At archery time. Not this year but next will be bow hunting for bear and deer 2024. Going up few day closer to archery deer season. Slowly replacing the ferns with asparagus. Mixing domestic with wild strawberries. Gonna do a buckwheat, clover, brassica planting this year. Planting hedges and cover around garden fence to keep deer out hopefully this year at my moms.

    Currently, I have four tower stands, and five ladder stands, on my seventy acres.
    No, I am not wealthy, but YES, I like to have options in place to cover wind and deer movement.
    All stands are situated in such a way as to not interfere with the other stands.
    And there are times that we will use climber stands even with the above stands.
    It is a lot easier to have the stands in place and choose one based on wind direction than having to MOVE a stand and possibly spook the deer when doing such.

    As a 40 acre property that is a destination, meaning that I only hold a few does due to open property around me. I find that only a few stands that have bulletproof access is what works best for mature bucks for me. Timing, conditions have to be right before hunting them. Great video👍🏼

      Very cool to have a destination property! If you add high quality food (if you don't have it) you can highly pattern deer...or greatly define where they move.

    On 120 acre rectangular property surrounded on the east and south by vast public land from which I draw deer, can I walk through that public land to get to stands on the east and south property perimeter or will I ruin having deer travel by stands in those locations? I hope this makes sense.

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751

      Hi John...you have to have a high quality food source to define morning and evening movement better. Or be able to get to the backside of bedding without going thru the ag in the morning.

      I've hunted situations like yours and I've found going in an extra hour early beats them back there, but some times they hang around in there off and on all times of darkness making it hard to get in undetected. If that's the case try swiftly slipping in right at witchinhour. Evenings hunt closer to the ag

    • @johncirilli6846
      @johncirilli6846 Рік тому +1

      @Alan Ruechel, my property has a road on the south side separating it from ag. I have a few stands just inside my property that I access from the road. When deer enter the ag in the evening I sometimes get winded when they get into the ag field. I also had the opposite issue getting winded when they are coming into my bedding from the ag. I usually have the wind pushing my sent out into the ag field. I'm going to try sitting in stands that I have been busted in the mornings to evening stands. I hate getting busted in the evenings by deer in the ag field that I might of passed on.

    • @alanruechel2240
      @alanruechel2240 Рік тому +1

      @@johncirilli6846 If it was me I would only hunt that road/ag area with a west or east wind and make an access if you don't already have one, to the back where you could hunt north wind. South wind find somewhere else to hunt. Best of luck to you ! Sounds like you've got plenty of deer
